"The owner was incredibly kind and even upgraded our room for free since we were a couple. The room we stayed in had an amazing view, with stunning mountain scenery right outside the window. It was especially beautiful in the morning, with mist swirling around the mountains – absolutely gorgeous! The interior decor was also very pretty and comfortable. The hotel is very close to the scenic area, and there are lots of great restaurants nearby, as well as plenty of places to grab breakfast. Getting to the city from the hotel was super convenient because the owner could help us call a taxi, which was much easier than taking the bus from the scenic area entrance."

"Came here after the holiday, so there weren't many people. The owner was super friendly and provided great service. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy, and the bedding was really comfortable. The facilities were also comprehensive, with both a washing machine and a dryer. We even borrowed the owner's microwave, which was very kind. Breakfast was nutritious and delicious. The owner also recommended a local farmhouse restaurant that had great food and fair prices. Plus, they offered pick-up and drop-off service to and from the scenic area, and parking at the B&B was convenient. Highly recommended!"

"**Facilities:** The hotel's amenities are excellent and feel brand new. The lobby is quite grand and impressive. It's conveniently located near JiangKou county town, approximately a 15-minute drive to Fanjing Mountain. **Cleanliness:** The room was spotlessly clean and incredibly spacious. We even received a complimentary upgrade! **Environment:** There's an outdoor swimming pool. The main downside was some noise in the mornings due to a real estate development under construction nearby. I imagine the surroundings will be much more peaceful once that project is completed. **Service:** The service was good, and breakfast was decent overall. **Note:** YunShe Ancient Town is not far from the hotel, but we only had a quick look around as the weather was too hot during our visit."

Falling asleep to the gentle sound of the flowing stream at night was incredibly relaxing, especially since it rained – a truly wonderful experience! Stepping off the car, crossing a small bridge, and entering the courtyard, there was an immediate sense of familiarity and peace. A babbling stream flowed in front, while silent mountains loomed behind. The courtyard was lush with greenery, exuding the scent of damp earth and the passage of time. Moss slowly spread along the flagstone path, and bamboo shadows swayed gently. Koi fish glided serenely in the pond, and the bell by the entrance chimed softly in the breeze, making you instinctively lighten your steps. This wasn't some contrived 'Chinese style,' but a place truly lived in. Their attentiveness was subtle but profound. Knowing roughly when we'd arrive, they'd already warmed the room, even the comforter was toasty. A wisp of sandalwood incense was slowly burning, and the tea set was neatly arranged, as if awaiting its owner's return. The moment I opened the door, my heart felt at ease. The furnishings inside reflected a restrained and tasteful Chinese aesthetic. Carved wooden window lattices, soaring double-leaf Chinese doors, and soft, warm lighting – each item seemed to have stepped out of an earlier time. The collected artifacts and calligraphies were not flashy, yet each quietly told its own story. For dinner, we decided to stay in rather than venture out, opting for a 'home-cooked meal.' Upon hearing our request, the auntie immediately sprang into action – she went to another part of the property, caught a chicken, and stewed a fresh pot of chicken soup. Then she dug fresh fiddlehead ferns from the vegetable patch, still carrying the aroma of earth. There were also her homemade salted duck eggs, not overly salty, yet oily with just one bite. The firewood slowly burned, the soup in the pot gently simmered, and the aroma of the food gradually filled the air. That scent wasn't the refined fragrance of a restaurant, but the long-missed, comforting taste of home. This isn't just a 'chic' guesthouse; it’s far more touching than many of them. GGuest UserThe B&B I carefully selected is great: the small building is located at the foot of the mountain. The architectural style combines modern simplicity without losing the local folk customs. It is backed by green mountains and surrounded by swaying bamboos. There is a swimming pool in front of the door, and there is a small bridge and flowing water when you go out. There is a treasure ”jelly-colored” water area a hundred meters away, which is convenient for children to play in the water after climbing the mountain. Adults can sit on the rocks in the shade and dip their feet in the water. In the stream, all worries and fatigue disappear. When you return to the B&B, the owner will cut watermelon, make tea, and prepare special handmade summer sparkling drinks. The creek is rising, the breeze is blowing on my face, the moon is setting and the sky is filled with stars, that's probably it.

YYishichaoranWe chose this B&B-style hotel based on reviews on Ctrip. The stay was fantastic. The facilities were comprehensive, the rooms were a good size, with floor-to-ceiling twin beds, an open-air tea room, and a fresh, unique design. Cleanliness and maintenance were excellent, and the hotel is conveniently located right next to the scenic area's bus stop. The owner, Mr. Long, was very welcoming. After picking me up, he drove me to the customer service center, parked my luggage in his car, and helped me purchase tickets. He explained that the rain prevented me from climbing the mountain the next day, and since I arrived at 11:00 PM, which was a bit late, he told me to head up immediately. After dropping off my luggage, my husband and I immediately took the shuttle bus up the mountain, arriving back at the hotel at 5:00 PM. Thank you so much! Note: You must call him upon arrival, and he'll pick you up in the hotel van and prepare breakfast and dinner. Overall, this is the best choice for self-driving trips up Jingshan Mountain, offering the best value for money.

GGuest UserIt was such a surprise find at Fanjingshan. The rooms are big with modern facilities including toilet seat sensor. The inn also has a lift for those with big luggages and don’t want to climb the stairs with them, a feature that is not in all the inns around. We have such a comfortable stay, even if it was just for a night. We took a didi to the inn in the evening and in the morning, the owner drove us to the gate of Fanjingshan to purchase the tickets. He also offered to pick us up when we are done for the day at fjs. He also helped us to engage a driver who drove us to fenghuang ancient town for a fair price based on our cab fare from Tongren to fjs. I will definitely recommend this inn which is also new, opened in March 2023. 房间干净偏大，负有摩登设施。 民宿里也有电梯，无需扛大行李上楼。 我们住得舒适也吃得好。 推荐！

Before choosing a place, I hesitated about whether to stay closer to the scenic area entrance, but based on my experience, I would recommend staying directly in the village. It's more physically demanding for hiking, and meals are more convenient. The owner can pick you up and drop you off at the scenic area entrance. We also found out after arriving that you can arrange pick-up and drop-off services in Tongren city in advance, and the price is slightly cheaper than taking a taxi. The owners are very easy to talk to, so there's no need to worry about any disputes. Although the facilities aren't particularly high-end, it's worth the price.

HHR101Very grateful to return to a cozy clean room after a cold cloudy day on the mountain. Very good facilities in the room for the price. We appreciated the early check in allowing us to store our bags in the room before going to the mountain. Hot powerful shower, smart toilet, and good TV. Restaurant downstairs was Ok, there is more food 5 minute walk west. It's right behind the main entrance to the mountain, very convenient. For traveller info - we took the bus to Zhenyuan the next day, tickets available at the counter immediately next to the park entrance ticket. 1 bus a day at 09:30 in December. High quakity minivan, we had it all to ourselves ¥126pp. Hotel is great value for money.

GGuest UserThe lady at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and warm. We didn't arrive until 10:30 PM, but she had called us earlier to confirm our arrival time and even upgraded our room. The air conditioning was wonderfully warm, the hot water was excellent, and the bedding was very comfortable. She also allowed us to park our car directly in front of the guesthouse. Even after check-out, she mentioned that we could still come back to the guesthouse for a free shower and to change clothes after descending Mount Fanjing. This place absolutely deserves a huge thumbs up!

GGuest UserA hidden gem! This resort type of hotel is so rare in the area. We opted for this hotel for the gorgeous courtyard type of layout. The hotel deserves the attention and my lengthy review as the architect/ designer has such an exquisite taste which shows off in the smallest details. The select of burl wood trims with marble patterns, stylish lighting fixtures… Rooms are spacious and full of technology. Bathroom with heat floor and even ironized glass which offers instant privacy with a click of a button. This hotel alone is worth couple nights of stay where one could plan a getaway from the city life and fully immerse themselves in the hotel’s garden trails. This hotel is great for tourists who prioritize monetary value as It’s essentially a five star luxury resort for a fraction of the price. However, for those who enjoy a slower pace and a peaceful atmosphere away from the busy tourisy area it offers more. This hotel had become an integral part of my spiritual retreat escaping city and exploring the FANJING mountain area. GGuest Userto be honest, This hotel is definitely good value for money. Compared to hotels near shops, I prefer accommodations that are some distance away from Fanjing Mountain. One of the reasons is that if you want to walk around shops or go shopping at night, you will be disturbed and forcefully sold to by many people. The hotel provides many services including transportation to the entrance of Fanjing Mountain and breakfast. This is a very thoughtful service and I am very satisfied with it. There are many restaurants near the hotel, and many locals dine there. Choosing 3D2N is definitely the first choice. Going up and down the mountain consumes a lot of energy. After we came down the mountain, we went straight to the hotel and slept for 14 hours. The only downside to being near Fanjing Mountain is that it is very far to other attractions. Make sure you can catch a car or bus back to the hotel before nightfall.
