"This stay was in the Pine View room, located in the newer annex. The facilities were new and clean, and the hot spring water quality was excellent. The overall lighting and environment were good. Unfortunately, the shower head was broken. The double bed was made of two single beds pushed together, and the mattresses felt quite old, with a noticeable bump where they joined but a dip in the middle, which made it hard to sleep comfortably. The breakfast offered a decent variety of Chinese and Western options. The staff were friendly and had a good attitude. I'd suggest they pay more attention to the quality control of the bamboo shoots served with the congee; they had a strong rancid smell, as if they'd been sitting for a long time."

"The room is big and clean. A quiet place with a Family Mart opposite. A nice cafe and a nice eatery place which I went twice within a min walking distance There are more at the back but i didn't explore further. Owners are very nice people. In fact, the people I met are nice, friendly and helpful. The girls from the Cafe even helped me to book a car and accompanied me to wait for it. Owners are friendly and chatted with me causally for awhile, suggesting places I should go etc."

"The rooms at Pine Garden Hotel are quite old, but the room rate includes tickets to West Lake Resort, breakfast, dinner, afternoon tea coupons, and midnight snack coupons, so it's a good deal overall. However, the meals were quite ordinary."

"The front desk officer doesn't appear to be very helpful. I have stayed here before, but in the new building, which is clean and modern. For some reason, I overlooked the booking, and it was in the older building. The room is quite dated and smells like an antique shop. We called the front desk immediately after entering the room to inquire about switching to another room, as I am sensitive to smells and staying in this room for three nights, especially over New Year's Eve, would have been a problem. The officer didn’t sound happy at all and made us feel like it was a hassle to check with her manager about room availability. In the end, we had to pay an additional TWD 3,600 for an ”upgrade” to the new building. The highlight of the stay is the New Year fireworks displayed by the hotel."

"This is my second time staying here. Outdoors is my favorite place. It’s a pity that the hot spring hotel does not have an outdoor hot spring pool. I wonder if they use the guest towel to wipe the water cups? The toilet is not bidet, which is a big demerit... The shampoo and shower gel are packaged in fired ceramic bottles. I am very worried that it will break. The hot spring pool is very large and three or four adults can take a bath together. "The service was impeccable. However, two points could be improved upon: 1) The hot water in the shower was inconsistent, fluctuating between hot and cold. 2) We had to walk a fair distance to get breakfast. It would be a significant improvement if breakfast delivery to the hotel were an option."
