"The hardware facilities and services of Shaoshan Hotel are very good, it is relatively quiet, and the rooms are large in size. Especially it is the closest to Shaoshan Scenic Area. The former residence and bronze statue of the great leader Chairman Mao are right in front of you! It just so happened that the children were on vacation and we specially brought the educational significance of red tourism. The service worth mentioning was an unexpected surprise. Extra points. Miss No. 263 received a five-star rating. She was enthusiastic, professional and courteous! It is more reliable and convenient to stay in this kind of state hotel when traveling. In addition, the tour guide was very helpful when visiting the Chairman’s former residence! It is highly recommended to find a tour guide to explain! "This time I was satisfied with the homestay where Chairman Mao lived. I booked it on Ctrip. The owner called in advance to inquire about the arrival time. I took the high-speed rail to Shaoshan South Station and the owner picked me up in person. The room was clean and tidy. I had three meals in the store. I ate Mao's braised pork. The homestay was not far from the scenic spots. The distance was just right. The square memorial hall was not far away. I was satisfied with this trip."

"Stayed in a room in the main building. The hotel is in a good location, close to South Railway Station and not far from Shaoshan. The hotel facilities are good and the layout is very charming. The waiters were all friendly and the service was attentive. What impressed me most was the enthusiasm and thoughtfulness of Manager Li Xiu.
The food in the restaurant is delicious and the prices are relatively affordable, especially the restaurant on the second floor. The hotel is equipped with a swimming pool, which can satisfy those who like swimming and stay near Shaoshan. There is a gift shop downstairs for convenient shopping.
The disadvantage is that the hotel does not have a washing machine, which is still a traditional hotel practice. There are also no laundry bags for dirty clothes, but rudimentary plastic bags are provided."

GGuest UserAfter looking at several guesthouses, we chose this one. The owner, Weiwei, and the staff were incredibly thoughtful and attentive, taking great care of the elderly. They helped arrange everything, from travel plans to sightseeing. The elderly had a wonderful time in Shaoshan and were very comfortable and satisfied with their stay. The food was delicious, local farm-style cuisine, and we ate all three meals there.
We'll definitely choose this place again next time we travel to Shaoshan!

GGuest UserThis is a very typical rural B&B, with a restaurant on the first floor and guest rooms on the second and third floors. The B&B is located in a village at the entrance of the scenic spot. Parking is allowed and pets are allowed. It is about 500 meters away from the former residence of the elders and the Bronze Statue Square. The owner's service is warm and the room is clean. The facilities are simple and outdated. The bathroom did not provide bath towels and there was no shower. The bedding may be too basic and make a twitching sound when you turn over. In Shaoshan in March, the temperature at night was very low, so I needed to turn on the air conditioner, but the sound from the outdoor air conditioner was loud, like a tractor. When I turned off the air conditioner, the same sound came from the outdoor air conditioners in other rooms, and the quilt was a little thin. Great choice for light sleepers. It’s okay to just pass by on a self-driving tour and stay overnight.

GGuest UserThis trip to Lushan is too good for the hotel! Shanggeyali is really in the core location of the city. Downstairs is Xintiandi Pedestrian Street. You can go shopping and eat when you go out. Ruixing, Guxuan and various night snack stalls, authentic Lushan restaurants are all around, and it is super convenient for food shopping. The front desk service was particularly warm, the check-in was fast and intimate, and the questions were particularly patient. The room was much more spacious than expected, the new Chinese design was very elegant, the hygiene was super in place, the bedding was clean and odorless, and there was no dust in the corner. Living comfortably and conveniently, I will choose this one next time I come to Lushan, and I have already recommended it to my friends!

GGuest UserThe couple running this renovated traditional home in Mao's home village are very attentive to guests' needs, even on the busiest day of the year, December 26th, Chairman Mao's birthday. My partner was coming down with a cold and got some ginger soup to drink. Additionally, when we screwed up our schedule and almost couldn't make our train out of Shaoshan, with no train available to reschedule, the couple arranged for the husband to drive us to the station for little more than gas money. It's up a slight hill from the other inns and allows one to get a bit of peace and quiet, again, even on the busiest day of the year, when Shaoshan is very worth a visit for anyone interested in Mao Zedong's legacy, given the number of Chinese people who show up to sing, dance, wave various flags and give speeches. Don't make our mistake and schedule the Chairman Mao memorial hall for a full visit instead of rushing though it. The exhibit is full of pictures and dioramas and has English captions for most things.
I also wish we'd had time to explore the pagoda on the hill behind the guesthouse.

He also gave us a few bottles of mineral water after we checked in. We bought some local specialties at his house, and when we left, the boss gave each of us a commemorative medal. What touched us most was that the boss also gave our dog Eleven a commemorative medal. I will choose his place if I have the chance to play in the future.

The facilities are a bit old, like home decoration from more than ten years ago, European furniture, but the color of the velvet on the bedside has changed. There is no bottled water in the room. You can boil water at the tea machine in the corridor. The door handle of the bathroom shower room is broken. There were black spots inside the quilt. Because it was raining, we turned on the air conditioner to remove the moisture. We asked the staff to change the quilt and they said it was dust blown down by us turning on the air conditioner. Fortunately, it was replaced later.
