Shaoshan Hotels with Parking

THE place to stay in Shaoshan. I felt like I was at home, tucked into a quiet wooded corner of town. They helped me organize my short stay, drove me around, and cooked up an excellent breakfast. They were great company and my only complaint is that I couldn’t stay longer. (The room was perfect; the pictures speak for themselves.)

The room was very clean, and the air was exceptionally fresh, making for a pleasant morning run. The landlady kindly picked us up from the station, which was very convenient. It's best to drive here, as it's about a 15-minute walk to Chairman Mao's former residence. We found it very pleasant to walk in spring, but for those who don't want to walk, taking a taxi isn't very convenient. The atmosphere in the scenic area is wonderful, and the water is all spring water. Next time I come, I'll definitely go hiking and stay for a few more days.

Self-driving tour booked to live up to the light homestay, the boss and his wife are really kind and simple, warm and generous. Feeling at home, the boss took the initiative to provide free water, electricity, kitchen, cookers, and side dishes. The room was clean and tidy, and the environment was comfortable and quiet. If you have a chance, come back and see old friends!

This is a very typical rural B&B, with a restaurant on the first floor and guest rooms on the second and third floors. The B&B is located in a village at the entrance of the scenic spot. Parking is allowed and pets are allowed. It is about 500 meters away from the former residence of the elders and the Bronze Statue Square. The owner's service is warm and the room is clean. The facilities are simple and outdated. The bathroom did not provide bath towels and there was no shower. The bedding may be too basic and make a twitching sound when you turn over. In Shaoshan in March, the temperature at night was very low, so I needed to turn on the air conditioner, but the sound from the outdoor air conditioner was loud, like a tractor. When I turned off the air conditioner, the same sound came from the outdoor air conditioners in other rooms, and the quilt was a little thin. Great choice for light sleepers. It’s okay to just pass by on a self-driving tour and stay overnight.

The experience of Desheng Hotel in Lushan is great! The garden-style environment is elegant, the room is clean and comfortable, and the service is warm and thoughtful. Special praise to the two staff members, Mao Yuxuan and Xu Zhongyu, who are enthusiastic, patient and meticulous throughout the whole process, take the initiative to help with luggage, intimate guidance, responsive, people feel more cordial, and really feel the warmth of being at home. Highly recommended, I will choose here next time I come to Lushan!

The room is large and clean, parking is convenient, and there is a small opening and closing of the curtains. When I arrived at the hotel in the evening, the beauty at the front desk was not enthusiastic at all and the service was not good enough. The girl at the front desk was different when I checked out the next day. She greeted me with a smile and answered me patiently. Consulting matters. Overall the hotel is very good.

Very unexpectedly good, I didn't report any hope. As a result, the proprietress was enthusiastic to pick up the station, the room was clean and tidy, and the mattress quilt pillow was clean and soft and especially comfortable. The bathroom is also clean. Except that the air conditioner is a bit loud, everything else is really good. The location is also very good, just beside the transfer center, go to visit the former residence in the afternoon, come back to rest in the evening, go out to see the show at 7 o'clock, very convenient. Night tickets are cheap and save a lot of money.

The couple running this renovated traditional home in Mao's home village are very attentive to guests' needs, even on the busiest day of the year, December 26th, Chairman Mao's birthday. My partner was coming down with a cold and got some ginger soup to drink. Additionally, when we screwed up our schedule and almost couldn't make our train out of Shaoshan, with no train available to reschedule, the couple arranged for the husband to drive us to the station for little more than gas money. It's up a slight hill from the other inns and allows one to get a bit of peace and quiet, again, even on the busiest day of the year, when Shaoshan is very worth a visit for anyone interested in Mao Zedong's legacy, given the number of Chinese people who show up to sing, dance, wave various flags and give speeches. Don't make our mistake and schedule the Chairman Mao memorial hall for a full visit instead of rushing though it. The exhibit is full of pictures and dioramas and has English captions for most things. I also wish we'd had time to explore the pagoda on the hill behind the guesthouse.

The room was economical and close to the scenic area. The boss was very nice. He contacted us even though we didn't get to the room at night. He also gave us a few bottles of mineral water after we checked in. We bought some local specialties at his house, and when we left, the boss gave each of us a commemorative medal. What touched us most was that the boss also gave our dog Eleven a commemorative medal. I will choose his place if I have the chance to play in the future.

The stay experience was far more than expected, the lobby was clean and elegant, the reception was gentle and patient, and the check-in speed was very fast. The rooms were cleaned spotlessly, the bedding was soft and comfortable, the bathroom amenities were complete, the sound insulation effect was also very good, and the night was particularly quiet. The surrounding area is convenient to travel, the supporting facilities are perfect, the service details are attentive, the location is very good, the transportation is convenient, and it is convenient to eat and go shopping very close to the business district. The hotel is clean and refreshing as a whole, there is no smell, and the sanitary corners are very clean. The bedding and bathroom are very clean, the living is very assured, the service attitude is also very good, the whole experience is very good, I highly recommend it to everyone.
