"A Worry-Free and Heartwarming Accommodation Experience in the Ancient Town This accommodation deserves full marks! When we arrived, the roads in the ancient town were closed, and we couldn't drive in. The owner proactively contacted us, explained the situation carefully, and waited at the intersection beforehand, patiently guiding us to the guesthouse on foot. Communication was timely and courteous. The guesthouse itself was a pleasant surprise. It was spotless and very clean, with a beautiful and comfortable overall environment. The owner also warmly led us to the rooftop terrace, showing us the view and offering to take photos for us – truly thoughtful. The breakfast on the second day was a highlight – simple yet delicious, especially the owner's fried eggs, which were excellent. What reassured us most was a small incident after check-out. We accidentally left our credit card and some personal toiletries in the room and later went back to retrieve them. The owner had already carefully tidied everything up and kept them safe for us, allowing us to retrieve them smoothly. This responsible attitude made us feel very reliable. Overall, it was a smooth-communication, comfortable, and reassuring experience. The owner is polite and helpful, and the guesthouse is clean and tidy, with attention to detail evident in every aspect. Highly recommended!"

"The most beautiful authentic riad, the super-location on the outskirts of the meadow, in a quiet place, 3 minutes walk from the parking. The royal room is really royal, carving and painting as in museums, retro furniture, lusters, grandiose. Very spacious room, double bed and two single beds. We were very warmly met, we were treated with mint tea and biscuits, gave a map of medades and told which places to visit. Very satisfactory and beautiful breakfast in the garden under the bird singing. The pool is small but enough space and depth to swim. The roof terrace is also beautiful. We are very grateful to the Riad staff."

"We were pleasantly surprised by the Hotel Volubilis. We hesitated to book the hotel because of some bad reviews about not having hot water and the staff being unfriendly (especially to Asians). But we decided to book anyways because of its location and quite affordable price. We were arriving to Fez at around 5pm, and we were told staying at the Medina wouldn't be worth it. Since we were catching a flight the next morning, we thought it would be more convenient to stay in the new city. So, despite some of the bad reviews, we decided to spend the night at Hotel Volubilis. Its location turned out to be great. It's right at the center and by the main avenue. There are lots of places to eat at walking distance and there are several Carrefours closeby also at walking distance. The staff was nice and they welcomed us well and took our request for a taxi to the airport in the morning. So, we have no complaints about the staff. Our room was big with a terrace. The room was old but clean. The terrace had no table or chairs, but it was okay. The bathroom was also big and we had no issues with the hot water. We showered at arrival and in the morning and water was hot and with pressure. The thing that we missed the most in the room was a fridge. Other than that, all good and acceptable. Though we agree with the other comments saying that this is not a 4-star hotel by ”global” standards."

"The hotel is in a very good location. The public area is the destination of the trip, with Morocco and Fez characteristics. The room facilities are a bit old-fashioned. After two days of drinking in the hotel, the service staff's understanding of happy hour is quite different from that of the general public. It's not bad to communicate and coordinate with various departments in the hotel every day, just practice."

"If you’re staying in Fes, I recommend you stay here. Staff are super friendly and helpful, room clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself as a great traditional Moroccan feel. Mohammed et al. made us feel very welcome. The location is great, walking distance from medina mazes. Brilliant stay and enjoyed Fes very much."
