The receptionist was very friendly and cooperative! A lot of choice at the breakfast buffet and the beds were super comfortable, amazing after a long ski day. We love the spa area, especially the hot jacuzzi outside and the great sauna infusion daily!

Booked this place with some friends. Could not be there because of the corona resteictions and tried to find a solution with the owner. Nothing was possible and from the first mail I was called rude and unfriendly. Payed what I should, but sure never visiting this hotel, if it was the last one on the earth.

We are 6 guys from Danmark between 50 and 59 who have lived in Chasa Valletta for the whole of week 10. We have not used the city very much but we have been in the apartment a lot. We've heard music, drank beer and wine and we probably haven't spoken very softly. It has been a fantastic stay at Mr. Walser. Incredibly delicious and clean appartements, and Martin has been a fantastic hoast. Our warmest recommendations.

I've got an advice for the Walser family: please sell the property to an owner who wants guests to have a nice stay in the hotel and treats them with the respect they deserve. You get what you give. To potential guests: the story of 'Mad Martin' is completely true. He does not want you to stay in his hotel, so please make sure he does not manage the property anymore when you decide to book. Please read about our unforgettable experience: At the start of our stay we were a bit nervous because of the reviews on the owner. Before our arrival I've had contact by mail about our arrival time early in the morning (between 7.00 - 8.00 o'clock) and was aware our room wouldn't be ready at that time which was perfectly fine because we would go skiing directly. Upon arrival the owner was acting irritated and seemed to not remember our contact we've had earlier. We have never had such a 'welcome' at a hotel - even at the worst places we were friendly greeted. We've laughed about his weird behaviour and put it aside. He must have had a bad day... During the week we've behaved like nice guests and kept the apartment tidy and our noise down in the evening. We haven't seen Martin or his wife much during the week and had a nice stay. So far so good. On Saturday morning we packed our bags, put the waste in the bins in the garbage room, tidied up the room and told Martin we wanted to check out. Martin wanted to check the room and thing started to get nasty quite quickly. He told me we've damaged the hairdryer, curtains and brush. We did not broke any of these items, but Martin kept to his story and did not want to listen to me. After a while he threatened to call the police because we 'damaged' the property. He was acting like complete ***** and kept on ranting. We wanted to leave the place so told him to deduct the damage from the deposit. He kept on ranting and acted like a childish fool but in the end we've got 75% back and left Ischgl in bewilderment.

We stayed here in January as a family of 2. We loved everything about it from the brilliant location that was close to the eslcalator taking you directly to the gondola. Also handy to the supermarket. The room was clean and everything we needed was there. Best of all the owners are wonderful. I left my earrings in the room and they posted it back to me in Australia! They went above and beyond to help us and we would highly recommend Casa Valletta. I

Despite the certificate issued in 1999 on the wall next to the reception, hospitality is hard to find. The owner Martin has obviously lost his passion and hospitality in the last 24 years. There is really not a speck of friendliness left in this man and as a guest you will have to walk on your toes, nothing is good for this owner (and his wife) and guests are clearly in last place here. 'Nur arbeiten' as a lament to the question of how Martin is doing is something we had to hear several times, not a single question about how the trip is/was - no interest in the guest at all.. Constant threat with police, deposit deduction and camera images.. Perhaps a job as a (corrupt) prison guard suitable in the future? In addition, we recommend that you remove the certificate from the wall. Again, don't book here!

Avoid this place! Never had such a bad experience in my life. The owner, Martin, is a terribly narrow-minded man who immediately treats every guest with suspicion. Really not an ounce of hospitality to be caught. We had read the reviews, so arrived forewarned. We assumed that it would not be too bad, after all we are a group of well-behaved thirty-somethings, partly working in the hotel industry, and have always had good contact with other accommodations in Austrian ski areas. Would be fine now, wouldn't it? How wrong we were in this case. I have never been treated so denigratingly in my life as by Martin. We have been accused of everything, called swine by his wife, we allegedly threatened Martin, and he threatened to call the police. Reason: the hairdryer holder in one of the rooms had a crack. We have not seen this, let alone deliberately destroyed it. When we indicated that we did not think this was due to us, the man completely freaked out, resulting in the above. In the end, we quickly paid the damage (40 euros) and left. We didn't want to be near this man for another second. Martin lives in his own universe and is beyond reason. Martin is always right, and if he's not, he's right anyway. Don't give this man your well-deserved vacation money, don't even give him your attention. Search quickly for loving and hospitable owners. There are plenty of them in Austria.
