The hotel itself is classy and clean, with vast amounts of lounging areas. The hotel staff were polite and friendly. The area itself is wonderful with plenty of activities available in the area; snorkeling, kayaking, tennis, basketball etc. We had the half board option which was okay for the price. The breakfast was very good and always enjoyable, but the dinners were less good. The meat and fish were always badly overcooked and there was little to no options for vegetarians. For a 5-star hotel, the waiting staff were not adequately trained. They would attempt to snatch any dirty or used plates from your table, occasionally when the plate was still in use, interrupting conversation, leaning across to collect a plate and even occasionally asking you to pass it back. For example, I had bread in my hand, and yet my bread plate was taken away. There really was no need for this and I’ll be honest, it irritated me as it happened throughout our stay. The waiters need more understanding of dining etiquette. The two pools were open but the indoor heated pool was very cold. It would have been better to increase the temperature to something less cold as it somewhat ruined the experience. Amilja, who worked on reception, was a standout star. Very helpful and pleasant! The good stuff definitely outweighed the bad and so I’d definitely recommend this hotel.
