It should be the 7th time to stay at the hotel, but this time it is really bad! Arrived at 3 am and haven't checked in at 4 o'clock. Why is this? !
The air conditioner in the first room was broken. I changed the second bedside socket. There was no power supply on both sides. The third room had no slippers. After the front desk sent it, I found that the wall was moldy and peeling off. The toilet door handle was broken. There was no toiletries. It was too late to toss. Let's sleep!

MMichael ZargarovThis is a marvelous homestay-guesthouse. Located in a quiet area of the old-town, but very close to many bars and restaurants. Next door to a temple.
The owner is a friendly man who loves cats... and has three lazy, fat cats who sleep most of the time. He even gave us chilled bottles of Perrier French mineral water upon our arrival! The courtyard has two Loquat trees which provided many delicious fruits.
Our room was upstairs in this renovated old Qing-Dynasty house. We had a small private balcony. The bed was very comfortable, with great bolster pillows for watching movies on the huge screen. There was a refrigerator in the room. The bathroom was huge and even included a Japanese toilet with bidet functions. Soft towels. Good toiletries.
The included breakfasts, served in the courtyard, were wonderful. Fried bread, two-kinds of dumplings, soy milk, boiled eggs. Delicious coffee. Watermelon slices.
Xitang is a beautiful, if a bit over-commercialized ”ancient” town. We enjoyed our visit, and this lovely guest-house. The guesthouse is a bit hard to locate. It is in the Eastern part of the old town, near the bar street. For those who enjoy Hanfu, there are MANY shops nearby where you can rent the costumes.

The environment is very elegant, and there are countless art treasures in the hotel, all of which are super high-level works of art by contemporary artists! In addition, it is only ten minutes away from Xitang Ancient Town. Opposite the hotel is the farm opened by the hotel itself. If you book the hotel, there are free picking activities and fishing activities, which is very suitable for a family trip. Finally, I think the service is very good, there is a caring butler who provides thoughtful service throughout the whole process, and made reservations for us for the running water tea table, the coffee given by the bar, etc.... The hotel couldn't be better! And it is a super five-star hotel! The price is worth it!

00xiarenzhuxin0We chose Yuanzhu for our trip to Xitang. It is right inside the scenic area, with a great location and Xitang Snack Street just outside. The decoration is also very good, modern and simple, the rooms are spacious and clean, the bedding is comfortable, the service attitude is good, and they respond quickly. The large terrace is very comfortable at night, and the quietness makes people relax. Overall, the experience is good, and I will choose it again next time. I recommend it to everyone!

GGuest UserI booked a loft room on the 11th, with upper and lower floors, 5 people, not crowded. The room is clean and has 2 balconies with good air and beautiful views. It can have convection and wind. It is very cool during the National Day, so there is no need to turn on the air conditioner. No mosquitoes either. The bed is big and soft. Have a good night's sleep.
The interior design has a natural feel, and the decoration is tasteful, not the simple street decoration. The bedside is very atmospheric. The bathroom is not very big, there is only one, but it doesn't matter if the whole family uses it separately.
The entire hotel has four floors, and you don’t feel tired even if you go up the spiral staircase. On the contrary, it is very artistic.
There is a small Zen-like pavilion on the first floor, where two people drink tea and watch the flowing water next to them, which is quite artistic.
The boss is very warm and considerate. Karaoke is available on the second floor. There is also a barbecue grill. I bought ingredients from the nearby pot circle, barbecued, sang, and played board games. It was very pleasant.
The Huazhiyu Hanfu experience provided by the hotel is also great. It's brand new, free to wear, and you can take photos yourself. It will be a blockbuster.
There is no food in the hotel, but there are enough internet celebrity stores nearby.
A satisfactory stay experience, recommended.

MMaryanah BtePositives - The room assigned to me on the 2nd floor is big with a double bed that could be a little hard but that is normal for beds in China. There is a huge bath tub and toilet which looks like the Japanese toilet but the bidet function is not working and the flushing function is working. There are the usual amenities such as disposable towels in plastic and slippers. There is a balcony overlooking the river with a table and 4 chairs for guests to seat together. It is a very good location facing the famed covered tiled roof street and many eateries around. I checked that the prices sold are reasonable when compared to same items sold in Shanghai.
Area for improvement. The location of the inn is quite difficult for me to find as there is no map to indicate where it is and there is no English signage to show the direction. I have to ask around and I managed to figure out the street name in English. I wish there is a drop-off location mentioned for the taxi drivers to follow. The owners cannot speak English at all and I rely on Google translate to converse with them.

GGuest UserVery nice hotel... well located, inside the walls of the histroic water town, but in a quiet part, away from the hustle of the crowded streets.
Room was clean and easily large enough.. with good lighting and private toilet/shower, and daily room service. The buffet breakfast, included in the room price was very good.
I speak no mandarin; so I had to communicate with the reception/front desk staff using translate on phones.
The front desk staff were wonderful... cheerful, helpful. They went to great lenghts to explain to me how to obtain and buis ticket to Shanghai, where to catch the bus and so on... also the same staff were extremely helpful with day to day questions.
The only strange or negative thing is that when shown the room, it looks wonderful as it includes a small private verandah with table and chair. However, there is a fixed wire screen preventing the inhabitant from accessing the room's verandah... kind of strange and certainly a negative

GGuest UserThe proprietress called her Sister Pan. She was kind, enthusiastic and very charming. I heard the aunt introduce all the scenes. She took care of the garden by herself... From pulling ****s, pruning and planting, it took a lot of work and effort. Everything was aesthetic, natural and comfortable. Simple and elegant! It was full of praise. We were also recommended by friends. Although the breakfast was simple, it was delicious. It was the most authentic local delicacy, shredded pork noodles with pickled vegetables, wonton eggs, and sweet potatoes freshly dug out of the ground. They were fresh and fragrant. The Chinese tradition is passed down by word of mouth, and it is a B&B worth recommending. And the room is clean and tidy. I was tired after driving here, and I felt great as soon as I entered the yard. It has a very relaxing a**osphere. I like it so much, hahahaha.
