The hotel staff understands English and their service attitude is very friendly, but The only drawback is that the tent room does not provide a separate bathroom

I and my mother stayed there for one night 20000 yen per person, with dinner and breakfast. It was a very comfortable stay. This was more like a hotel, except that we needed to walk around without your own shoes (without getting dirty feet) inside. It was fully booked on that day. We had an earlier check-in, which mean that we could enjoy our relaxing private Onsen bath without standing in line. We also tried the large onsen baths later in the evening after a long walk in the beautiful Arashiyama area nearby. It was hot, but great. One of the baths was outside in a Japanese garden. We got warmed up from the inside out, and had an ice popsicle before we went up to our room for good nights rest. We also enjoyed a huge dinner and breakfast, true local cuisine with typical taste in Kyoto that supposed to be refined and ”delicate” - you shouldn´t expect any strong taste, and correctly cooked. This supposed to be a 3-star-hotel, but the amenity was completed. We didn´t miss anything here. We thought the staff at the front desk were not amazing, but definitely not poor. We didn´t need to deal with them so much as we had good information in written form. Everything was clean and pleasant. Had absolutely nothing to complain. We would definitely love to come back again. My rating is 4 - not more or less. I certainly see that they still have a room for improvement, but overall I didn´t personally understand all the poor reviews.

Originally I only planned the one night in Arashiyama. But the standard room I had was just so comfortable I stayed an extra night. Quiet area so you can leave your balcony door open all night and let the breeze that rolls off the mountain side to fill the room. Staff are just superb and look after you very well. Train station is just a few minutes walk away and there is a laundromat a couple of hundred meters down the road. Thank you all at Nagi for a perfect stay. You are the best!

We had a great experience in this hotel as a family. Their rooms are more spacious than shown in the pictures, and for the price, it is truly good value. They offer use of washer and dryer for free so you can wash your clothes during your stay as well which we found very convenient. Overall, would recommend for those driving around Kyoto and looking for a budget but cozy stay.

La'gent is a local hotel chain. Good proximity to Nijo, Shijo, Kyoto Stn...a bus stop right in front of the hotel is a big plus point. + Another plus point is the public bath, hotel guest get to use the facilities without paying extra charges. + High quality Yukata bath robes - Less f&b options around the area - room cleaning is only done once in 2 days Overall recommended for travelling family

3 stations from JR Kyoto Station, a 5-minute walk from Nijo Station on the subway Tozai Line, and a very convenient location right next to Sanjo Shopping Street, the longest shopping mall in Kyoto City. It looks like a machiya hotel along an alley in a residential area, but there is a large dining space and a communal kitchen in the lobby on the first floor. It is a newly built hotel that was just built this year, and there are 3 washing machines on each floor, which is very convenient for long stays. The rooms are full of beds, but the bathrooms are average size and the rooms with kitchens are said to be slightly larger. Just like a one-room apartment, there are many people who stay for a long time, and it seems that all the guests are getting along well with the kind men at the front desk and the international student staff, just like a boarding house. I felt it.

Good location, just 10 mins walk from hotel to Kyoto Station. Wonderful hotel!!! Staff is amazing. We love the beautiful Japanese style design room with tatami flooring decoration. The onsen facilities are outstanding👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 It’s perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring Kyoto. Best breakfast buffet! I would stay here again.

A new shape capsule hotel with tourist specifications The image of a capsule hotel was that an uncle who couldn't return by train because he drank it was staying, but TSUKIMI HOTEL has free space and can cook. Therefore, it was the perfect accommodation for backpackers. The staff were all cheerful and responsive and I felt good. This was a matter of luck, but the only drawback was that the next customer snored badly, but I escaped the difficulty because there was an earplug in the amenities.
