Just came back from Kangding, and I have to praise the Intercity Hotel where I stayed this time! It really exceeded my expectations. It doesn't feel like a cold chain hotel, but more like a comfortable home. First of all, the location is really convenient! *It is right next to Liuliu City, and only a few minutes' walk will take you to Love Song Square, various restaurants and shops selling specialty products. If you want to go see the night view or go shopping at night, or want to eat a bowl of hot beef noodles in the morning, it’s so easy! You don’t have to worry about hailing a taxi even when dragging your luggage, which is the most worry-free thing. The room was much better than I expected! We booked a room with a view. There was a mountain view from the window, and the sunlight shone in in the morning, which made us feel really good! The room was clean and tidy, and the bed and quilt were super comfortable! It is very important to have a good sleep on the plateau. And with floor heating it’s not cold at all at night, a plus! What I want to praise most is people! Affection! taste! *The guys and girls at the front desk are very enthusiastic and don’t have those fake professional smiles. We had a little altitude sickness when we first arrived, so we asked where to buy oxygen cylinders. Not only did they tell us the location in detail, they also reminded us not to walk too fast and to drink plenty of hot water. The lady boss is also very nice, just like a relative. She tried her best to meet all our needs. When we left, she reminded us to bring good things with us, which made us feel warm inside.

Booked for the location because it’s 2 minutes walk to the bus station for Xinduqaio, Litang, Luding or back to Chengdu and 5 mins walk to Kangding Square. The room was a little cold (winter -10 outside) so they provided us a heater with no fuss. Excellent! Friendly service and Great for a night or 2.

Overall, a really unique and special stay. While it looks close to the main road, you should know that going down to the city center might only take 5 to 10 minutes walking downhill but it's a steep hill going up. The staff was really helpful and knew how to use translation apps. Our one complaint was that the common areas (lounge and shared toilet) could be cleaned a bit better. Otherwise, we really loved the view and our stay.

My parents are old and not very mobile, so the boss personally drove us to the old town for dinner.
