Celebrating our 28th Wedding Anniversary and Kyukaruizawa Kikyo, the Curio Collection by Hilton made it a memorable occasion. From the special gift and room upgrade as a Diamond member, the cleanliness of the room and the facilities, amazing food, and to top all, the attentiveness of ALL employees to all customers. The moment, we drove up to the entrance, we were assisted in every way to make our check-in easy. We arrived late but we were able to go to the executive lounge at the last minute. Although not properly dressed, as we came from hiking, we still got the same exceptional service from the servers. There was a time when we had to leave early for a hiking trip and could not make it for breakfast, they were able to provide us with fruits and nuts for our trip. I was also having a hard time looking for a place to have my hair done since I could not speak Japanese to make the reservation. Hiromi, one of the employees, helped me look for a place to accommodate me and she helped me with the reservations. The servers in the dining area are all very attentive and are always happy to serve. The strength of the hotel is not only its facilities and location but also its people. We have never felt so much at home. Having traveled all over the world, this hotel made a huge difference in showing its customers what quality is all about. We look forward to going back again. Thank you Kyukaruizawa Kikyo, Curio Collection by Hilton.

A hotel that exceeded expectations! The room and bathroom are large, with a small balcony. The toiletries are also great, with a hair dryer and curling iron. The food in the hotel restaurant is delicious and worth a try. The staff lady's English is also very good, and communication is barrier-free. If I have to pick out a flaw, it is that the ventilation fan in the room is a bit noisy, and I have to turn it off when I sleep at night. However, the flaws do not outweigh the merits. This is definitely a small and beautiful treasure hotel. I would like to stay again next time I come to Karuizawa. I strongly recommend it!

It is easy to understand because it is close to Karuizawa Station and is located on the main street. However, it is difficult to understand the entrance of the hotel, but I wondered if I should enter from the restaurant. Only standard double rooms are available for dogs. It's pretty narrow. It feels like a stylish business hotel. The bed is comfortable. There is a large dog gauge toilet sheet and a butt wipe. The bathroom and toilet are in the same room, but they are large. I was interested in the toilet. Should I remove the toilet seat when cleaning? The amenities were in a cute cloth bag for two people, but there was no toothbrush in one cloth bag. There are 2 bottles of mineral water in the wine cellar. It's a pity that there is no pot. It would be nice to have a water server that can produce hot water without a pot. There are 2 coin laundry machines. Ice maker, juice and alcohol are sold by themselves. The restaurant is delicious, but the amount of dinner and morning is large, and the contents are covered, so it seems that you will get tired of staying for consecutive nights or using it frequently ... The taste is strong (good compatibility with alcohol) Even for people with small children I was there, but maybe my kids aren't likely to eat it. Dessert also has an adult taste. The restaurant is very cold near the entrance and on the window side and requires a coat. All the staff are kind. It is cheap considering the food and convenience for the price. Especially recommended for those who want to enjoy the whole of Karuizawa and enjoy Spanish cuisine. I want to use it again.

The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from Karuizawa station. Take the north exit on the bridge/walkway after coming up from Shinkansen platform, it's the left. There's a tourist info with helpful people at the end of the corridor, and an escalator next to it. Once you come out, with your back to the station, walk straight down the road, and take left at the first traffic light, near the Shell station. The hotel is opposite Family Mart. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room was generous-sized with an ante-room which has a fridge, some storage cupboards and the main room is nice and big with a good-sized bed. They provide 2 bottles of water. You can take day trips to Naka Karuizawa, Shiraiito Falls among other destinations using the bus service outside the station. It's a lot easier if you have Suica card or you will need to carry many 1000 yen notes. On the way back you can you can stop off at Kyu Karuizawa and walk the streets of Old Ginza. It can also be reached by foot, takes about 25-30 minutes.

Black Diamond members specially give a thumbs up to Zhang at the front desk 👍
I never have the time to write reviews
Today I was touched by Zhang's service
The service of Zhang at the front desk can be regarded as the brand of Prince Hotel in Karuizawa
The story is like this: ”On the day of check-in, I was overwhelmed by the atmosphere of the shopping mall around Prince Hotel
The cabin I booked has a good layout with two rooms, and a living room in the middle, which is more than enough for 3-4 people. When I fell asleep at night, I noticed the noise of the snowmaking machine at the ski resort. I have a very sensitive hearing, so I immediately contacted Ctrip's one-to-one customer service and the hotel front desk, and got a response very quickly. The Japanese night shift staff at the front desk communicated well and considered that it was very late, so they let us stay in the hotel building for one night and adjust the room the next day.
The next day, Zhang, a Chinese at the front desk, drove the hotel car to the cabin very coolly to help us move our luggage into the hotel building. It was very friendly to hear Mandarin. Zhang was very patient and carried the luggage and drove to help us deliver the luggage to the new room. During the period, he also introduced the hotel and surrounding consultation. The services we needed in the future were also provided. It is well known that the Japanese service industry is excellent. When meeting compatriots in a foreign country, the language communication is smooth and they get real service and help. This hotel experience is the most satisfying one in the past ten years of traveling in Japan.

Traveling with 2 teenagers. This is not a suitable place for them. Check in at 3pm. You can check your luggage early. But, during this waiting time, you can only go for outlet shopping. Sadly, not for teenagers !
Staff are fine but quite fixed. For example, we arrived at 1030 and one teenager asked for using gym. They said no. It's his birthday, none is happy about this. At the early evening, I found you need to pay 2000 yean for each use of gym and hot spring. I feel this is silly. You are charging us anyway why not let us use and pay?
Cottage: is cute and cozy but extremely oldx3. I think you can describe a vantage cottage. Clean but a bit of natural symphony from outside.
Buffet dinner: selection if food was ok. Western, Chinese and Japanese. But certainly the entire area are a bit of pricy. 9000 yean plus 18% charges. If you dont have a choice , this is acceptable. Or you can choose to eat early at the outlet area.
Hot spring: outdoor and indoor. Very nice setting but you pay 2000 per use.
Overall, this area is pretty pricy. But if you are here to chill this should be nice but with teenagers I would say they rather live in Tokyo like a cheap hotel not this. They don't appreciate this at all.
I still appreciate the service and the experience.

First thing about the hotel is that it js huge hence if you stay here , you really need to do lots of walking. I was given a room in the B wing and most of the amenities are in the other wings. The hotel is on a massive ground with East and West side also with standalone cottages. The West side from what I knew is the more economical one, but walking from the wings within the West side is already a real workout. The location of the hotel is within walking distance from the JR Karuizawa station but the hotel runs free shuttle service regularly stopping right at the lobby of West side. The room is simplistic and well maintained typical in most Japanese hotels. What I like is that the wash basin is outside the shower room. Nothing fanciful about the room but large enough to have a sofa even for the basic rooms. As mentioned walking from my side of the wing to the onsen is a good 10 mins walk and also to the self service laundry area. Breakfast is good but very expensive if you did not include it at almost 4000 yen per person. There is a Famjly Mart convenience store right in the hotel which solves most of the issues. Overall a very decent hotel in this area.

I really enjoyed my stay at this brand new hotel. Although it has been open for a couple of months, they have kept everything spotless. The lobby with open fire is beautiful and a comfortable area to have a drink and relax. The room itself was also incredibly clean and everything worked well including the WiFi. The hanten jackets were in the colours of the Ukranian flag which was a nice touch. The breakfast was good, as was the restaurant in the evening. The public bath was a nice place to soak after dinner. Service was good although it's clear the team was new and still training - I am sure this will change in time. Small criticim is there was no room service menu in the room. This was fine as it was on the TV but navigating to the menu needed Japanese skills. The architecture and general design is fantastic, as are the fittings and the carpets are just beautiful - same as all new IHG properties I think.

From our recent visit to the Karuizawa Marriott Hotel, we're excited to share the essence of this secluded gem. With its sprawling suites and gourmet dining options, the hotel is a sanctuary of comfort amidst the snowy splendor of Karuizawa. The experience is further elevated by the warmth of the staff and the blissful moments spent in the onsen. 😍So Good: Impeccable Cleanliness: The hotel's dedication to a pristine environment was evident and appreciated. Heartwarming Service: The staff's attentiveness and warmth made our stay delightful. Restful Onsen: The onsen provided a haven of relaxation, enhancing our retreat. Delectable Breakfast: The diverse breakfast options were a culinary delight each morning. 🙁Not So OK: Secluded Location: Its distance from the city and public transport requires some planning. Seasonal Crowds: Winter brings the beauty of snow but also high demand and prices. 👌Just OK: 👨🦲Zen Minimalism: The room's minimalist Zen decor may not resonate with those in search of traditional luxury. Standard Amenities: The facilities met our needs without exceeding expectations. Ski Area Access: While the hotel offers a shuttle to the ski area, there is still a walk involved to reach the ski gates, which might be a consideration for some guests. 💡 Tips and Recommendation: ♨Onsen Choices: Opt for the building with its own onsen for a private dip, or brave the open-air onsen for a magical winter experience. 🚘Transport Planning: While there's a shuttle service, having private transportation is convenient. Marriott Bonvoy Benefits: Leverage Bonvoy membership for enhanced stay experiences; it's worth signing up for. 👏Conclusion: Capturing the magic of the Karuizawa Marriott Hotel in mere words is a challenge; it's an experience that truly needs to be felt personally. It's a destination that may very well become your next must-visit retreat.

We stayed for 2 nights this time on our second stay. 1We stayed in a family room for one night but it was very comfortable with ample size to spend with family 3 people. From the balcony you can see the golf course and Mt. Asama surrounded by nature, and your heart is calm. The hotel here is great with hot springs in the annex. It is very pleasant to be soaked in a bathtub while watching Mt. Asama during the daytime with good weather. The breakfast buffet was firmly equipped with infection measures and I was able to eat with peace of mind. I like it so delicious that fruit juice is added. The hotel staff is soft and only 々 who greets you when you pass. I was able to stay very comfortable.

GGuest UserThe stay was very satisfactory. The room was insulated and airtight. The privacy of the house was very good. The design was ingenious. The owner provided all the helpful help. The transportation here is very convenient. It is very suitable for driving and it is easy to get a taxi. There is a small path that leads directly from the house to the bird forest. The atmosphere is great.
GGuest UserI stayed with my husband for two nights. We like this homestay very much. We can feel the careful management of the boss and the proprietress. The layout and atmosphere of the house are very warm and comfortable. It is European-style country style, very tasteful, and the room is very clean. It is worth mentioning that the kiln roast pizza breakfast, The boss's craftsmanship is good, every one is super delicious, it is basically a restaurant level! It is highly recommended to come to Karuizawa, and I look forward to seeing us again next time!
YYanchaoThe hotel is very good, especially the washing machine and dryer. The stadium is also good. The disadvantage is that it is too remote. All dinners and lunches must be booked 3 days in advance, which is very inconvenient for us, and it is very difficult to communicate in English. However, the room is still very new and large.
GGuest UserAlthough the hotel is small and well-equipped, it is about a 10-minute walk to the outlet, which is very convenient. The hotel staff are polite and there are bicycles for rent. The overall experience is good.
NNAI am very happy to book this traditional Japanese hotel full of warmth. The hotel is very retro and has a sense of historical precipitation. It feels warm and warm when you walk in. It is a very traditional Japanese hotel. Although the alms are a bit dated, the environment is clean and the service staff is enthusiastic. The hotel is conveniently located at the end of the commercial street of the old Karuizawa. The hotel has its own hot spring, but we do n’t have time to soak, but we used the bathrobes and socks in the hotel because we do n’t know how to wear them. After talking to the front desk, they also called an elderly service staff to help We wore a yukata and tied a beautiful bow. We also dressed beautifully to eat their kaiseki dishes, which tasted great, but the girls really enjoyed the set meal, especially wearing kimono and tied It's too tight. Sleeping at night is also very quiet, quiet in the middle of the night, anyway, you will choose to stay next time. In addition, the autumn of Karuizawa is really beautiful!
AAnonymous UserThe property is very charming and the photos shown are true to actual. Location is a bit far from the station so best to arrange the shuttle bus service or take a cab.
Room is neat and cosy and the private onsen is a nice bonus.
Breakfast is lovely and the fresh vegetables were amazing however the dinner was a let down as it wasn’t served in the restaurant. Instead we were provided with a voucher for redemption at the bar. The food is just average, beef was not very fresh, and your clothes and hair reek of smell after dinner as they cook the food right at the bar.
GGuest UserI will go to ski for one night in a hurry and make a reservation immediately. Stay in one room alone and 8500 yen Hotel and facilities, but if you think it is a general business hotel, it feels about 6500 yen, but I think it is a range that is convinced if you think about the location. Overall clean and clean. I tried to ask for a buffet breakfast at the time of local check-in, but when I arrived at the site, I was surprised by ”sold out”. Even if I looked at the breakfast venue the next morning, it was a little disappointing.
GGrandTour803448In Karuizawa, I usually stay at a hotel in front of the genre, but sometimes I change my intention... and stay here in the Japanese style room. A hotel is a cottage even in front of the genre, so there are some places where the distance to walk skiing is long, but it is convenient because it sends you to the front of the ski center. Also, if you eat at the outlet early in the evening, you will still be in time for free transfer bus time, so you can not walk on the snowy road at night. The restaurant in the hotel is clean and delicious, and lunch is very recommended.
GGuest UserKawaizawa JR is within walking distance, passing familymart and Lawson, crossing the river and turning right into the path. The surrounding area is very quiet, only the store near the station is looking for food, Lawson is considered a place to buy food recently, or go a long way to Zhongkaruizawa will have a McDonald's. The hotel is a new hot spring hotel with a period of time. 𣎴 is a very traditional one. The Japanese-style room has water with a toilet, but there is no bathroom and no hair dryer in the room. The bath is underground, closed at 11 o'clock in the evening, closed at 10 o'clock in the morning, the women's bath only has 3 vanity mirrors, and many people will be crowded. All rooms are on the 2nd floor and only stairs. There are foreign staff who speak English. The hotel facilities are a bit old, but they are still clean and bright. The ceiling lamp in the room has a remote control to adjust the light and dark. The staff is very kind. We arrived at the hotel at night and hadn't eaten yet. The staff was very careful to help us Zhang Luo to the cafeteria. The cafeteria was about to close. After renting a bicycle and checkingout, you have to pay for your luggage. There are also lockers at the station, 300 yen underground at the north exit. Can be put for 1 day. In Japan, even a holiday visit, but also to find a hotel later, this hotel is a price is expensive to have a sense of space.
堇堇茉Although it is far from the station, it is very convenient to have someone to pick it up by car. In the morning, you will be booked with you to determine the time to go.
The only inconvenience is that there is no supper in my order. There are no convenience stores around.
Other play facilities and hot spring bath facilities are ok
The prices are also very clean. I also arranged a large room for me alone
I ate breakfast at the hotel in the morning and loved waking up in the forest early in the morning.
Reservations must be made in advance (Japanese and English)
Waiting for pick-up at the general parking lot at Nakaruizawa Station, there will be signs on the car
