Beautiful boutique hotel! It is extremely convenient for anyone who wants to be near the airport. Amazing staff. The only difficulty is that there is no on-site evening restaurant, nor any shops within walking distance. However, you can get Uber eats delivery food and Uber for any journeys. Check out is 10am, which seems very early and you have to pay extr for late check out. However, the rooms are amazing! A great choice for a peaceful escape... less perfect if you want to go out in evenings.

Very beautiful property. Khumbu and Alfred were so helpful. Accommodated to our pets and the owner Jenny was very nice!

I've never been so surprised by a property! We turned up (after I messed up the dates at another local accommodation) and they kindly recommended us to try School Huis. We were blown away when we arrived! It's like an enchanted Victorian castle, complete with absolutely everything you could ever need. BUT, the best part? Alfred! What an absolutely amazing person, kind, friendly and literally so unbelievably helpful. He prepared our room within an hour when we arrived (as we had not previously booked) and recommended a fantastic place for dinner just 5 minutes away. He went to the shop to purchase a few drinks for us too, as we were pretty exhausted from a 5hr drive down from Kruger that same day. We got back from dinner and our room was ready, he helped with our bags, offered us breakfast AND there were ciders chilling in our fridge. I just can't believe it and the price is just unreal. Thank you SO much for accommodating us on such short notice (literally 10 minutes from phonecall to arrival) and thank you Alfred for being a total superstar! Hannah & Angus xxx

We were looking for a place to stay near O.R. Tambo airport. This place was very convenient. Contacted the property to see about dropping off our bags early while we went to shop for essentials for trip to Kruger, the response was quick indicating not an issue. Check in was easy and Alfred was so helpful with both the room and dining options near to guest house. The room was comfortable and clean. The included breakfast was delicious with many options. The gardens on the property attracted numerous birds including the long billed ibis. We would definitely stay there again if a stop over in Johannesburg.

I absolutely love this charming manor. It is manage by the nicest warm hearted people. Value for money is 10/10 and so is comfort. Highly recommended and super close to OR Tambo International Airport.

What a beautiful place and wonderful stay. Rooms are unique and comfortable. We booked the entire house for a wedding and couldn’t have asked for a better place. It’s feels like you aren’t in the city. Ryan was fantastic and catered to our every need. Food was great.
