We stayed at the Steigenberger for one night. The hotel is nice and conveniently located opposite Terminal 28. It also close to the city centre. The buffet breakfast was very good. However, there was only a bottle of water in the mini-bar. The weather was quite hot and there was not ventilation unfortunately.

Super Hotel was for the journey! Breakfast was super delicious and our dinner in the restaurant right in the hotel has very mouthed us. The staff and their service were absolutely nothing to expose, the people there are all super-previous and friendly! Rooms were also very clean, as well as the hotel in the whole! Who wants to shop, doesn't have to walk away from the hotel and is already in the centre! I'd like to come back if it should happen again!!!

Friendly atmosphere, relaxed service, very clean room, environment conscious. I was given clear information about the best places and restaurants to visit. Daily room cleaning can be opted out to reduce environmental load. A drink voucher is offered in exchange.

Absolute disaster. Not reached by phone on the day of arrival. Only one (very friendly employee) to check in. Long waiting times as a result. The room was missing duvet, pillow. Why is a room reported as ready? Transfer to another room took forever. Breakfast buffet totally overflowing. As a result, there weren't enough products available because the staff didn't keep up. Beim Einchecken baten wir an der Rezeption um ein ruhiges Zimmer , es wurde uns gesagt wir brauchen uns keine Gedanken machen , es wäre nur eine ruhige Nebenstraße , leider hat der gute Mann wohl vergessen dass es sich an Werktagen anders anhört , z.B. wenn die Müllabfuhr genau vor dem Fenster hält ist es eben um 6:45 mit der Urlaubsruhe vorbei. Das Zimmer hatte aber auch sonst so seine Herausforderungen: zugegeben, es war schön groß aber das Bett musste eine Gummimatte unter dem Leintuch haben und auch das andere Bettzeug bestand eher aus Kunstfasern, der Teppich hat eindeutig schon bessere Zeiten gesehen und im Schummerbad war der Toilettensitz defekt , dafür kam aus dem Duschkopf ein angenehmer Wasserstrahl. Das Zimmer ist eben einfach etwas alt und hat eindeutigen Renovierungsstau, Alle Anmerkungen gelten übrigens unter der Maßgabe der 139 Euro die das DZ mit Frühstück gekostet hat. Das Hotel ist maximal ein bed and breakfast Standard und auch hier wäre es kein gutes, sorry, aber der Preis geht garnicht. Ein paar Worte zum Frühstück : es muss auf den Buchungssystem erwähnt werden, oder auf der Homepage , dass das Hotel einen strikten Zeitplan verfolgt in den man sich einzureihen hat,( nach 3 Wochen Skandinavien wussten wir hiermit gleich dass wir wieder in D sind). Das Frühstück selbst macht satt , das war’s dann aber schon. Obstsalat mit hohem Anteil an Dosenfrüchten und das im Hochsommer, hatten wir in den letzten 3 Wochen nirgendwo. Croissant oder Cappuccino gibts natürlich nicht.passt vermutlich nicht zum 60er Jahre Konzept des Hauses. Wie auch immer , kann man so machen, für einen deutlichen anderen Preis.

There are several bus lines, supermarkets and restaurants around it. The hotel rooms are very soundproofed and the room size is also suitable, which is not small in Germany. The only unsatisfactory thing is that the shower room is too small, but the shower water is sufficient and the water temperature is very good.

Don’t stay here. Both times we have been here it has been excruciatingly painful to say the least. The first time we had the so-called presidential suite and another room for the kids. The presidential suite had a door that didn’t fit properly, dirty windows, filthy cushions on the couches. Old-fashioned furniture that has been badly beaten up and they are charging a premium price for the rooms. With the five of us we had quite a bit of luggage and my wife asked for assistance. Eventually somebody from the bar (refused to give his name but someone at reception said he was from the UAE) ambled up to my wife and said “you want some assistance with a luggage?“. Yes replied my wife. He then looked at her and said “we don’t do that here“ and walked off leaving her to struggle with three small children and a number of large suitcases. Absolutely appalling is the only way it can be described. Just simple good manners would dictate that somebody would help a woman with three children and luggage up some steep stairs and into the lift. Just not too hard thing to do for a young man…. Surely? The bathroom is dirty and smelt of mould. The second visit was no better. We would not have stayed here if it hadn’t already been pre-booked and paid. They managed to completely get the booking wrong and then refused to even try and sort it out in order to make our visit more comfortable. Instead, we end up with a tense and very unhappy situation exacerbated by the extraordinarily rude staff at reception who would not listen to our requests. Strongly recommend you stay away from this place.

The rooms and bathrooms are as new. Unfortunately, the condition of the bathroom was unsatisfactory, with limescale deposits in the shower under the toilet, and a slight smell of urine in the air. I got 89 euros at the reception for 67 euros through the app, which is related to my high standards. In addition, there is a breakfast that should be charged 15 euros. I personally think that these two breakfasts are too much. Personally, I will go on a business trip and sleep here again, but privately, I may not necessarily spend my vacation there.

This hotel is a destination and a starting point for our multi-day bike tour along the North Baltic Sea Channel. The hotel is quite cheap for this bike tour. The hotel also has a closed and sufficiently large bike room to ensure the bikes can be safely accommodationd. The service is excellent at both reception and breakfast, always very friendly. The housemaster is also top, could help us with a short-term tool super. The room is spacious and - we had a room for the garden - quietly quiet.
