Good store. Beautiful hotel. Clean. There are also parking places outside the door but you can see little.

Hotel was in chaos when we arrived. Staffing issue with the room cleaners, only one on duty. The reception area was full of guests waiting for their rooms. We eventually got into ours at 18.30 that night. The reception staff were doing their best to keep the guests happy, They were working really hard and were terribly stressed.. Caroline in particular did an amazing job. Our room, when we got into it, was comfortable and reasonably clean. Location is very good, close to the harbour and station. Breakfast was very busy but there was plenty of choice of food and again the catering staff were working very hard. I had the impression that there are some management issues at the hotel. I felt sorry for the staff that were obviously doing their best but needed more support. Having said that it was a good stay for us and Kiel was an interesting and surprisingly lovely place to visit.

Well, were to start. I have obliged for 2 years to all rules re COVID-19, got infected last year with the delta variant and have since then difficulties breathing i.e. through the mask. Since the mask wearing rule was lifted, I started booking hotel trips with my family again. However, I asked specifically and several times at the booking direct via the hotel reception if wearing a mask is required and the answer was clearly NO. Of course it was just a lie and we were treated like scum including our little children 2 and 3 years old. They claimed the right of the landlord to overrule the law. Nevermind, that was not all. We made the booking weeks ago and booked specifically the same suite number 515 again as we liked it last time around. Of course that was confirmed without any hesitation. At check in something happened we still can not understand. They took a pen and made out of the 515 a 715. A room without i.e. a balcony. Asuming we shall pay the same for an inferior room! We asked why and the answer was something illogical. I said we will not move and then they said okay we make some calls and see what we can do. Suddenly we got 515 back. I believe they were overbooked and promised someone else the suite and tried their luck. The whole stay we were made feel uncomfortable. My wife was close to tears. We felt so unwanted that we decided to have our breakfast outside the hotel. Voila Atlantic Hotels you are blacklisted and I will tell all my business associates (600 on LinkedIn) as well. If you stay a little tip for what it is worth: rooms facing the train station gives you the sun in the afternoon or evening and not early morning to wake you at 6 am as the curtains close not up completely.

We stayed at the Steigenberger for one night. The hotel is nice and conveniently located opposite Terminal 28. It also close to the city centre. The buffet breakfast was very good. However, there was only a bottle of water in the mini-bar. The weather was quite hot and there was not ventilation unfortunately.

A great house with corners and edges. The rooms are, depending on category, up. Our room was in the second floor with view of the promenade. Over a staircase, or with the lift easily reachable. The high bathtub will not be happy to everyone, here should be explored in advance. I have not visited the SPA area and let the review out. I have to highlight the breakfast, there is almost nothing that is not there, super. We could have given our dinner, but it was simply nothing. A debtor in the lobby was not even allowed to, after more than half an hour waiting for the barman we went to bed. Apart from the most stressed barman, the rest of the staff was super friendly and premature. Some more is expected from a house in this category.

After a 12-day cruise, we wanted to make the holiday expire in Kiel for two days and have booked a room in advance ... I was allowed to conduct a very friendly telephone call and we were offered a great room. At the arrival (the only small manko) it was unfortunately not possible for the hosts to pick up our bag 🧳 from the port, but we were offered to order a taxi for us. The hotel is located in the same building as the Ibis Hotel. Left entrance Ibis, right entrance Adagio. Also, these are the same staff in both hotels. Apart from the Ibis Hotel, the hotel room offers a kitchen line. For families practically, you don't always have to go to dinner. Supermarkets, shopping malls and restaurants are in the immediate vicinity. The hotel has an elevator and free Wi-Fi As in the IBIS Hotel, breakfast is Mo-Fr 06:30 to 10:30 and Sa+So 07Uhr-11. Drinks like water and coffee are available free to 22:00. There is also a bar in the dining room. Eat there until 22:00, drinks until midnight The TV in the room works well.
