The Nest

I've recently stayed 3 nights at the Nest. It is a gem with a beautiful garden, friendly service and plenty of outdoor seating available to chill within the property. Room: all 3 rooms I stayed in were spacious and clean. Terrace rooms were quiet but the room close to the gate was noisy with staff/guests talking in the late/early hours. One shower didn't drain well and one shower curtain was moldy. When I made the hotel aware of these minor issues, they told me they'd address them immediately. Staff: reception staff and breakfast room staff were helpful, friendly and accommodating. Great location: there are a few cafes, restaurants just around the corner from the hotel (5 minutes walk). Airport was 20 minutes by taxi and Kigali Height (shopping mall with many ATMs, restaurants etc) was nearby (5 minutes by taxi). There are plenty of moto (motorcycle taxi) outside the hotel. Nice breakfast: fresh juice and made to order menu as well as buffet items were delicious. Swimming pool: access to the nearby affiliated hotel swimming pool was fantastic. It was a decent sized clean pool. There is a bar/restaurant but no sun lounger to chill. Complementary 1 hour massage was great. The Nest also had food delivery service from a nearby Asian restaurant. I didn't try it but the menu placed in the room looked extensive. Overall, great stay and I'd stay at the Nest again. I felt safe at the Nest and in Kigali in general. Knocked off one star due to few minor issues mentioned above but I hope they would've addressed them by now.

The silence for serenity is what i loved , it's really a sanctury in the city. The friendly service , always eager to improve on anything you complain about. You are sorrounded by nature yet in the city. The place is very comfy and relatively affordable .

We stayed here twice (with 2 children) and had a great time! It is a lovely hotel with a super relaxed vibe. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the manager is extremely responsive and helpful. There are many lovely details all around the hotel: from the beautiful plants and flowers everywhere, to the lighting, the art works, the pottery, the books in the lounge... The location is good for exploring the city (use Yego). Apart from (a delicious) breakfast, there is no restaurant, but you can easily order food from partner-restaurants or just walk to restaurants in the neighbourhood.

I spent a night here and had a very good sleep. Personnel here is super friendly. My stay was very short, basically I just used the bed and the shower but as everything was so comforting I directly felt very relaxed. The area is close to some restaurants, bars I really enjoyed.

It's far away from being a "Boutique Guesthouse". Luck of inspiration for breakfast, always the same, sometimes the bread wasn't fresh, fruits were missing...There is one Girl at the reception who is really smart, the Girl without glasses. But some of the stuff members, you feel like interrupting them. I had an issue with the bill! We tried to sorted out, I recalculated after, paid to much & no answer so far from the managment, after writing an E-Mail. Not orofessional

The Nest Rugando is a pleasant place to stay, about 10/15 minutes walk from Kigali Convention Centre. I felt safe and comfortable during my stay here, so would recommend to other travellers to Kigali. My room was fairly basic (fine for a short stay) but was clean and my bed was made/towels refreshed every day. The outdoor seating areas was really nice. There was fast, reliable wifi and staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in the price of the hotel, I really enjoyed the fresh fruits and pancakes.
