My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stayed in Oakwood Premier Hotel. The receptionist guy on Friday Morning, 10th Jan, was super nice, friendly and kind. He changed our room facing the city view. We went straight to the hotel after we arrive in Melbourne to put our luggage in their luggage storage because the check in start at 3pm. However, our room were already ready, so we managed to get some sleep and rest. The bed is so comfortable and we got a amazing view! So I really enjoyed our stay there for the whole time! What a great first travel experience in Melbourne! Surely, we will be back!

Looks like very close to Melbourne Conventional and Exhibition centre. In fact its a bit further away from Novotel hotel and we need to pass through indoor carpark and outdoor car park space. In day time it s fine but the road way back to hotel at night is veey quiet. Room is big and i like the storage system and cabinet. Very neutral amd contemporary colpur scheme for room design.
Bed is cozy.

Strongly do not recommend. Service is bad. came here for honeymoon as we just got married. I normally do not write reviews but I can’t stand this hotel.
Firstly, called housekeeping to get toothpaste and they took one hour to deliver.
Secondly, Went to 1st floor restaurant to get lunch and they offered to send it up to the room. Took the offer. When I checked out, realised that they charged an additional $6 for tray. Was already personally in the restaurant and they offered to send it up, BUT CHARGED ME. I would have just eaten in the restaurant since I am already there?!
Thirdly, housekeeping person is just weird and rude? Hiding out of view when he came up to pass the toothpaste.
Fourthly, the heater is switched on at 26degrees but the room still felt like 22 degrees.
Fifth, was in another Melbourne hotel in the CBD and they microwaved food on our behalf. While Oakwood, a 5 star hotel, does not even help.
Honestly, this hotel made the whole honeymoon trip very unpleasant. The only upside of this is the view. Otherwise, strongly do not recommend here.

I recently stayed at this hotel and, while the amenities were decent, the location was a major disappointment. Despite being advertised as "centrally located," it was quite far from key attractions and conveniences. Public transportation options were limited, making it difficult to get around without spending extra money on taxis or rideshares. Additionally, the surrounding area felt somewhat isolated, with very few restaurants or shops nearby, leaving us with little to do in the immediate vicinity. If you're looking to explore the city or enjoy a more lively environment, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

I booked a studio room 1 week in advance and had also requested the highest available room with a clear view to city. They gave me one of lowest and the view was blocked by the building next to it. It ruined our anniversary 👍
