"Warm welcome from Sue and Steve. Very clean and homely atmosphere. Sue and Steve are excellent hosts and keen to please....and allowed us to eat our takeaway in the dining room which was great. Full Scottish breakfast was hot and very filling along with the endless supply of fresh toast. We are already thinking about booking for next year. Highly recommend!"
Forces Manor
"Forces Manor is so much more than a guest house - it's a story and Tony the owner is one of the most inspirational people you could ever meet. It's clear he's put his heart and soul in to this place and has created a guesthouse full of heart that just feels magical. It's a place for men and women who have served in the forces to come together over a whisky or 2, and regular folk like our family to have not only a bed for the night if they have plans to explore the local area, but a place to come and socialise, with friends you never knew you had :) We had the pleasure of staying over when Tony was hosting a 'reunion' and my 3 kids were in their element asking the veterans about their time in the war. The gents were truly amazing answering all of my kids questions, showing them all the various models on show and we were even treated to a late night pizza and some eggs for breakfast. My daughter was so excited when Tony said she was more than welcome to bake and after rummaging around in the cupboard, made all the guests some chocolate Brownies. There are so many social spaces within the guesthouse - we chatted with other guests in the dining room, had a game of monopoly and go of the x-box up in the gaming room and the boys spent sometime out on the bikes in the morning before we were ready to head off. Our stay at the Manor was just amazing and I know we will talk about it for years to come - the kids are already asking when we are going back, so a return trip is a must. Tony and his story needs to be heard, so if your planning on visiting the area then I can't recommend forces manor enough."
