The room was clean overall, with everything it should have. The restaurant can be directly accessed from the hotel door. It is probably a cooperative restaurant. The food is average. The restaurant seems to be understaffed and you have to wait a long time. The waiter's attitude is average. I waited for 40 minutes for the simplest Western breakfast, and it was served only after I urged him once. The front desk of the hotel itself is not bad. There is a museum opposite the hotel, but we didn't go there. We just stayed there for a night.

We chose this hotel for a concert and it turned out the concert was less than 2 blocks away. Everything you need is within 3 blocks. Wonderful area and easy to get there.

The Walper is a gem in downtown Kitchener! From the staff to the rooms to the awesome good, our weekend hosting a bridal shower at the Walper was nothing less than outstanding!

Could not sleep due to very loud music being played at a wedding reception at the hotel until 1 am. very loud foot steps from the floor above. And then at 6am piano music was being played in the lobby, clearly audible in our room on the 3rd. floor.

The king room is very large and found it very clean. The hotel bar is well stocked. Service overall is friendly and helpful.
