Rustic knightly charm in the form of lances, swords, and knight's armor paired with modern interiors, leather, and steel: If you like stylish contrasts, you'll love our Holiday Inn - the niu, Saddle Fürth in Fürth. The name "Saddle" refers to the Frankish armored knights who contributed significantly to the building of the Frankish Empire during the time of Charlemagne and are considered the "forefathers" of chivalry.
Not only the design concept of our Holiday Inn - the niu, Saddle Fürth is magnificent but also the amenities. Smart TV with a media library, USB ports, an invisible sound system, and screen mirroring leave nothing to be desired, even for urban nomads - and there's high-speed WiFi free of charge on top. Regardless of the category, all 103 rooms have a ground-level shower. Tip: The rooms on the fourth floor even have their own terrace - perfect for a sundowner at the end of the day!
If you're traveling with your kids we recommend our family rooms: The spacious master bedroom offers plenty of room to relax, the kids stay in the second room, which is equipped with a double bunk bed and you can easily cater for yourselves in the kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave. If you prefer to enjoy the advantages of a hotel you should not miss the breakfast buffet. Our Living Lobby invites you to work and connect with co-working space and 24-hour bar & bar food.
"This is a lovely hotel with excellent staff. Everyone is very friendly, helpful and professional (except that we saw one or two members of staff eating behind the reception on more than one occasion, which is not professional).
The hotel itself is very modern and very clean, but the claim on the hotel website that each room has air condition is not true. The rooms have a heating and cooling system, but the cooling system is not air conditioning and does not let out cool air in the winter and spring.
The problem is that, due to climate change, March is much warmer than it used to be. If you are staying in one of the lovely 4th floor suites and the sun is shining, the temperature can easily reach the mid-20s and the room retains that warmth at night. This morning, it was 25 Celsius in our room, and over the coming days it will be much warmer. In a few more weeks, it will be uncomfortably warm without air conditioning or a functioning cooling system. Regardless of where you are in the world, air conditioning is air conditioning. It has no other name. The words air conditioning should not appear on the hotel website. It is misleading.
Despite this issue, we had an enjoyable stay and we can recommend the hotel and the staff."
