The check-in experience with one of the staff members called as Mr.Jinu was extremely unpleasant. He asked whether I wanted to do advance or full payment to which I replied that I would prefer doing that during checkout as I would order food and other services and would pay combined for that. And the same is followed by many other hotels including 4 star hotels in the city. Even though this was a corporate booking done via Yatra for business, the staff person didn't know that and was asking for amount higher than what was mentioned on the tax invoice hotel voucher. He had to call another staff to recheck the amount and finally admitted that the amount on the hotel voucher with me was correct. After this the staff person suddenly changed and insisted that I pay the full payment only. The treatment I received was as if I would run away without payment. He kept on repeating - ”it's hotel rule”. Upon asking where the hotel rule is written or documented in your hotel policy, he had no answer and suddenly insisted that I cancel the booking. I was appalled at this kind of behaviour and treatment by a staff who works in a hospitality industry who treats customer in a hostile manner. Please do your research about the rules here. If anything is declared as a ”rule” or a policy, do ask for proof of its document. When I insisted on calling the manager, the manager said I could do payment in parts which was fine. But staff people treating people like theives is NOT OKAY. If hotel people are reading this review, kindly check the recording of the camera at your reception. Treating people like thieves when you are in hospitality industry is not at all okay. Hotel people should really pay attention to the reviews on Google page regarding treatment by staff. The lowest rating for this hotel have been mostly given for staff behaviour. They should train the staff to be more professional.

I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Prayana. Great location, easy to get in and out of the city. The staffs at this property were delightful and eager to help. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Meals are very good and delicious. I highly recommend PRAYANA.

OUR STAY AT AVENUE CENTER, KOCHI( 04th-12th April 2024): The front Office Team : Mr. Steve Jacob, Ms. Diviya , Mr. Neeraj, Mr. Hisham were Professionally courteous and helpfull. The House Keeping Team: Mr. Arun, Mr. Aagil, Ms. Aswathy, Ms. Ajeetha, Mr. Akshay, Mr. Mithun, Mr. Siddarth, Mr. Fleming rendered a meticulous service. . The Dining area was professionally well handled by Mr. Aadersh, Mr. Shiju, Ms. Sivapriya, Ms. Soumya, Ms. Haritha . Though the breakfast was average, we enjoyed their service. The security guards, Mr. Sibi, Mr. Bilap, Mr. Dhulan and Mr. Samuels were prim and prompt on their assigned duty. The location of the hotel gave a quite calm stay. We enjoyed our stay at The Avenue Center. It was a pleasure meeting Mr. Prasad, Mr. Nikil and Mr. Joseph, GM. Best regards, Aravindan.

It was really good stay there, good service and especially good location.

The Good: Good room service, polite staff, and great ambience are the main draws for this property. The Bad: The property struggles to overcome the negative impression left by the government heritage properties due to maintenance issues. Lake View Cottage: Initially given a room with relatively spacious single beds, we encountered a problem when the bathroom flooded into the room. Despite calling reception multiple times, the promised maintenance team never arrived. After contacting the booking agency, we were eventually provided with another room but we had to wait 2-3 hours. Unfortunately, the alternative room also had issues, including small single beds. The Ugly: At night, upon opening the door, a group of 5-6 people smoked right in front of our room and hosted a party with 10-15 people in a cramped room next to us. I don't know how the management allows so many guests in a small room with no policies. Alarms were unnecessary as water droplets from the AC served as a constant source of noise and nourished the pillow. The unpleasant smell emanating from the AC added its part as well. Sustainable Tourism: The lack of sustainable practices led to unnecessary waste, such as excessive use of plastic and paper wrappers for amenities like tea bags, glass water bottle caps, and dental kits. Despite enjoying the historical ambience, the overall experience leaves me undecided about staying here again. It may be preferable to stay elsewhere and visit the property instead.

This was mine and my partners first time to India. As nervous as we both were to find a good accommodation with kind hosts to help us through our trip, walking through the doors of Tissa’s Inn put us immediately at ease. From the immaculate boutique hotel and rooms, the cleanliness, the delicious food, and amenities we genuinely could not have asked for a better place to stay in Fort Kochi. Beyond all of these attributes, Sanitha and her crew were so incredible to us. All the staff were so warm and welcoming and helped us with anything we needed throughout the duration of our stay. They even went as far as to get my partner a cake for his birthday while we were there and sing him happy birthday. The sweetest staff and the most pristine hotel and great location- 10/10, 10/10, 10/10. Highly recommend this is where you stay if you’re in fort Kochi. Cleanest accomodation so far in India! Good shower pressure, good bed, did I mention clean? Water available to fill your water bottle… Was lucky to have the room entirely for myself for one night as no other guest showed, and when someone did it was still comfortable even if he was on the top bed as mine. Perhaps a bit excesively cold when AC and fan are running, but hey that’s Asia’s usual when staying at a hostel. You come to Asia to escape the cold and end up sleeping with a blanket. And getting horrible sore throats, and dryness from excesive AC. Staff was correct and helpful. Location was unbeatable! Will stay again in December.

I had been given a room designed for disabled people. The bathroom having metal handles all around, sink at my knees level , too used, too old, bed like at floor. The room located near activity room and near the exit, so I can hear everything, too noisy. Also, i could hear all water flushed from each room . It’s a worst room i had ever in my life, like hospital room. No view , nothing good about it at all. Also the booking without a breakfast. Really it doesn’t represent 5 star hotel. I am requesting a refund.

The location and ambience is amazing. It is a compact property located in the heart of fort kochi, a heritage sight. It is close to almost all the must see places in that area. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The rooms are spacious and clean. Ideal for business travellers who would like to unwind after a hectic work week. The food is great and in sufficient quantity. The place is more worth than the rates they charge i guess.
