High Life Bungalow

We stayed in the High Live Bungalow for the whole of January 25. We felt very comfortable there. The service was really perfect, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our every wish was fulfilled. The restaurant has really good food at really fair prices. Clearly recommended!

We had an amazing time at High Life Bungalows - we’re soo happy we stayed at this location over Sairee beach. It was a much more relaxed vibe and the view of the ocean from our room was great! We highly reccomend staying here and enjoying the free paddle boarding, amazing view and location!

We loved everything in this hotel. It was our forth time in the island and every time we go to koh phangan we go to high life. The team, the food, the location, the swimming pool, the attention of the staff, everything it's just perfect, we love it so much. Thanks for an amazing vacation, we are looking forward to be back soon :)

High Life turned out to be one of our favourite places on the island! Even though we weren’t staying in the hotel, the staff were super attentive and welcoming to us. The food, as well as the cocktails, were amazing. The pool with its view over Haad Yao beach is definitely the highlight. We stayed in a resort on the other side of the island but ended up coming back twice during our stay. The owner noticed and expressed how grateful they were that we took the long way just to spend a few hours in their resort. Hospitality at its finest!! Next time we’re back on Koh Phangan, we will definitely make sure to stay a few nights in High Life.

The highest point about this accommodation is the location …. It’s on a great beach which is literally steps away! The accommodation itself was less than average…. I booked a room next to the pool as everything else was booked out. This would never be my choice and as expected there was zero privacy and I had to keep the curtains closed at all times. The bathroom utterly stank the whole time! It smelt like sewerage and you felt dirtier coming out than going in. No milk provided so couldn’t even have a cup of coffee. Upstairs (my accommodation was two stories) was so hot it was unbearable being up there. Even with aircon on it didn’t cool down. Pretty run down, average accommodation at best. The staff were pretty rude and unhelpful! The location is the whole reason for the two stars of my review! There is a birds nest table that has a sensational view of the beach and the beach itself which is down a set of stairs is the best part of this place by far! There is a couple of cafe’s within walking distance, otherwise a ride in a songthaew will get you around (always fun)! If I had to return here I would stay in a room as far away from the pool as possible! But would likely stay elsewhere

The bungalows are basic but have everything you need for your stay. They have a safe, dressing table with a stool , tv, very comfy bed and a balcony. We opted for the sea view one and wasn’t disappointed at all. The bungalows are cleaned everyday if you want, you just have to leave the sign outside your door. Beach towels are provided and changed for clean ones if you need it. Also shower gel and hand soap in the bathroom. The location of High Life bungalows is up high on the edge of the island so there are a lot of steps down to your bungalow depending which one you have also the steps continue down to the pool, Restuarant and to the beautiful beach. This is not at all for someone who isn’t very energetic because the weather is very hot at times so climbing back up is tough at times. But is also great exercise. The restaurant servers nice food and has a good selection to choose from. They do a great Mai Tai cocktail and healthy fruit shakes. You can also hire a scooter from high life which is a must if you want to see around this beautiful island.
