Castle Kiahuna Plantation & Beach Bungalows

Lovely quiet condo with treetop view lanai. We were in Building 41. Close to everything imaginable . Check in was super super quick and easy. Plenty of parking. Best feature was walk to Poipu state beach park for turtles after sunset and peaceful swimming beach with decent snorkeling. We swam at the resort beach once and it was also very relaxing. We watched sunsets on lawn chairs under the palms. Strongly recommend!

This property is very lush and beautiful. We loved gathering at the beach each night to applaud the sunset on the big lawn.The pool area is across the street and on the mediocre side. We enjoyed the workout facilities though. I will say the staff could use some friendliness. Overall we were pleased.

building 20 is in the center of the complex so parking was not great-especially loading and unloading due to the distance from the unit to parking. The unit was very nice but could use more lighting. great beach on location, perfect for swimming but snorkeling not great. nice complex and lovely grounds. most disappointing was the pool was across a busy road and not close at all. No laundry in the unit-not close as well. so we took our dirty laundry to our next destination. no time or interest in waiting hours to do laundry while on vacation!!!! we liked Prince Kuhio much more.

We went for our anniversary. Stayed at building 35. The distance to the beach is good. The restaurants and pool are across the street, not far for some buildings. It was difficult to get towels, you have to pick it up because the front desk refused to send towels. Housekeepers are rude and have no customer service skills. the rooms have NO AIR Conditioning, We needed air conditioning, the fans were not enough. That said we were very impressed with the condition of the room and supplies. All the kitchen essentials, and I was very impressed there was everything you needed for the beach in the closet. Chairs and beach towels were available at the beach hut.

I do not usually write poor reviews but I feel the need to so that others can make an informed decision about staying at this condo hotel. I rented two one bedroom condos for my family of 5. They put us in building 10 by the “laundry center” as the front desk described it. When we checked into the rooms one had wet carpet and the other had no air conditioning, was dark, dated and had no working lights in the bedroom. I asked the front desk if we could move rooms or if we could exchange the 2 units for a 2 bedroom unit. For some reason the front desk staff had to think about this request for about 40 minutes - whispering and giggling behind a room divider in the one room front office. It was the most odd and awkward reception I have ever experienced at any hotel. Finally they offered me the 2 bedroom unit in building 34 - but at an upcharge of $500 - so in total I spent $3000 for the 4 nights. I was initially fine with the upcharge as the unit was large and view was nice - but after a day in the room we noticed a real foul smell on the bottom floor - and realized it was coming from the still man made pond that is right in front of the unit. The color of the water is neon green and four of our party of five felt sick after day 2 in the unit. Also all of the appliances were very old, rusted and the washer dryer did not work. For the price I ended up paying we could have stayed at a nice resort that is clean, safe and where you are treated as a welcome and paying guest.
