Akti Palace Hotel

Just back from a week in Akti Palace, if you go with the expectation of a 3* you'll be pleasantly surprised, if you expect a 5* you'll be disappointed (completely appreciate that * levels vary around the world). It maybe the hotel was winding down as end of season but if you're 5* that should be for whole season, not just busy periods. Positives: Communal areas clean and tidy Staff are very friendly and helpful Plenty of sunbeds Resort close to beach Complaints resolved quickly Food was plentiful if average Negatives: Lots of stray dark long hairs in room/on bedding/in bathroom on arrival, bit off putting. Had to ask for bathrooms to be cleaned over week. Reception confirmed it should be daily but this wasn't case. Someone with access to our room was helping themselves to items from our mini bar. Barman during day in bar by Reception was AWOL, we had to hunt him down daily. Poor selection of drinks at pool bar Spa is very expensive A la carte - set menu, no choice. Everyone is served at same time meaning you eat at speed of slowest diner. Buffet Restaurant needs better food labelling especially with regard to allergies/intolerances. Overall an average stay in an average hotel. We wouldn't return.

We’ve had an amazing honeymoon at this all inclusive resort on the beach front. The food is great and there’s a choice of 3 different restaurants to book into. 4 including the main restaurant that doesn’t need reservations. We opted for one of the sea view rooms instead of a pool room. Each block of rooms has its own pool. The pools can only be used by those in the pool rooms however they are still a great sight to see from a sea view room. The main pool is great with plenty of sunbeds to accommodate the amount of people. There is entertainment every night at the pool bar, a mix of live performers and DJs. All were very fun and entertaining, it has been great to have that to look forward to every night after dinner. The staff at this resort have been wonderful in every way. Housekeeping attend the room every day without fail. Staff knock the door every morning to see if you want the mini bar topping up (water, juices etc). Wait on you in the restaurants also. The spa is amazing, we have had 2 back and neck massages whilst we’ve stayed here, after our first one we were offered discounted prices for the second. Gives you time to book in for a second or even third massage before you fly home. They really know how to relax you and make you feel amazing for a good few days after the treatments. Overall, Akti Palace has made us feel like royalty on our honeymoon which is amazing considering we almost didn’t have a honeymoon in question so soon after our wedding.

We had a lovely time at the Atki Palace Hotel. The grounds are absolutely beautiful with plenty of pools to choose from. You can use the facilities of Akti Beach + adult section as well so there is always plenty of pools and buffets to choose from depending on your mood. The rooms are basic but nothing to complain about, everything was cleaned every day. The staff was very friendly and seemed to enjoy their job.

Good hotel they said 5 stars for the hotel i would say 3/4 stars some things need replacement but friendly staf and a lot of entertainment. the Spa is defintly 5 stars I had a massage from Maro and I would recommend her to anyone she is professional.

We have just returned from a week to Akti Palace. We had a shared pool room with two adults and a nine-year-old. I'll start by saying we had such a good holiday that we booked to come back before we even left!! **Room** Very clean, plenty big enough for our needs. The storage was fine and spotless. Maid service was provided five out of seven days, and the mini-fridge was filled daily. There was also a lovely coffee pod machine that was refilled daily with whatever had been used. The air conditioning was amazing and was needed. The bathroom was perfectly fine. As for the issues people mentioned with the shower position, just don't have it on full blast and point it towards the back. I'm a larger lady and didn't manage to flood the bathroom. **Grounds** All of the grounds are maintained so well. It's a lovely looking hotel. The pools are clean, and all areas are kept very neat. **Food** We ate all our meals at the hotel. ( we felt there was no need to go to the sister hotel ) There was plenty of choice for us, including traditional Greek foods, grilled meats and fish, sides, etc. Even our 9-year-old found plates full every day. If your kids only want sausages and pre made nuggets and beans ,then it might be an issue. But fresh pizzas are available, pasta, chips, etc. We never had cold food. We ate at the main restaurant and the pool restaurant. The pool bar has amazing gyros at lunch. The drinks were fine. Only paper cups are provided if taking drinks back to the poolside. Beer is served in half pints, but you can just order two at a time. I had the Aperol; it was nice, and the prosecco was lovely. Self-serve fizzy drinks. (And bottles of water from pool bar 10am to 7pm) . We arrived at 10pm on the first day, and the main restaurant had the full night buffet open with self-serve soft drinks and beer. And pancakes being made fresh ( 10pm till 6 am ) *** Staff*** A credit to the hotel. All staff were friendly and welcoming. They were busy but still took time to have a chat. Shout out to george in the main restaurant ( the younger guy who does tables ) he was an assett. Nothing a problem. But to be fair, all were. We had 1 evening our daughter felt unwell bit to much sun and we had run out of bottled water( its was about 36deg every day ) and they gave us one of the large glass table bottles from the restaurant bottles to see her through the night in the room . Much appreciated. One thing that may benefit would be fly catcher/killers, those electric ones in the outdoor eating areas just to stop a few. But it's hot and eating outdoors to be expected. In all, we have had a fantastic time. Thank you all at Akti Palace, and we will see you next, august !!!

Not a place we would come back to again unfortunately. Cleaners that don't clean properly and dont leave the towels and dont change bedding. Plates left outside rooms for days. Some of the staff are just miserable which is a shame as some are nice
