AGAIN＞ AS STATED LAST YEAR WHEN I STAYED AT THE "BOOTSHAUS" Highly recommended. Excellent food, service. Rooms are comfortable.. Centrally located. Nice, cosy atmosphere..A MUST to stay at the BOOTSHAUS when in Amberg, Bavaria. Stayed again in June 2024 for 3 nights, loved it so much .. even extended by 1 night . just look at the photos, videos on the website, Facebook, Instagram etc ... looking onto the Vils river from my window. Loved it.. For all my AUSSIE friends if travelling through Bavaria..maybe e.g. on the Autobahn from Nuremberg to Prague.. a more than pleasant stop over I (as a retired travel agent) would like to recommend.. Greetings ...this time not from Cairns..up top in down under, but from Bavaria where I am holidaying at current. HAPPY TRAVELLING

I visited Amberg in December, on business. I have stayed in Amberg before, but this was my first visit to Bootshaus. It is a very clean and very nice boutique hotel that merges the past history of the building with modern decor and amenities. My room overlooked the Vils River (very pretty view)! I also took a short walk to the old town marktplatz, which has many bars and restaurants, to enjoy the Christmas Market. The hotel had an excellent restaurant -- there is a patio bar overlooking the canal, and a dining room inside. In December it was too chilly to eat outside, but the dining room was very cozy, and offered a wide variety of tasty menu options. Attentive, professional staff and very nice property. I will be back when I return to Amberg!

Une très belle soirée dans un site unique ! En séjour à Amberg, j’avais auparavant lu les articles de presse lors de l’inauguration des lieux. Puis j’ai été agréablement conviée à boire un verre sur la terrasse de ce local. Le cadre est très agréable, en particulier sur la terrasse en cette fin de belle journée d’été. Cet endroit a beaucoup de charme et représente vraiment un plus pour Amberg. La rénovation de ce lieu que j’ai eu le plaisir de visiter permet de remémorer l’histoire patrimoniale de la ville. Félicitations aux propriétaires et j’espère une longue vie à cet établissement où je compte à nouveau me rendre lors de mon prochain séjour à Amberg

Preis- Wertes Hotel in der Amberger Innenstadt, professionell geführt von begeistert u hochqualifizierter junger Chefin, Personal sehr freundlich u zuvorkommend, das Essrn bayerisch und regional. Die Zimmer sehr gepflegt u sauber. Interessant ist die direkte Lage an der Vils mit einem Teil des Biergartens über dem Fluss ... Wir kommen wieder u freuen uns auf das Ambiente u die freundliche Umgebung

Traumhafte Lage an der Vils mit Terrasse (war uns nur zu kalt sm Abend), drinnen sehr gemütlich und sehr freundlicher Empfang. Kompetenter, freundlicher Service, auch sehr gut englischsprachig, übersichtliche Karte mit leckeren, sehr frisch zubereiteten Speisen. Tolle Aperitifs, alles bestens. Kleiner Kritikpunkt: Dessert wurde uns keines mehr angeboten… das probieren wir dann beim nächsten Mal!

Leider sehr enttäuschend. Viel in Social Media gesehen und dadurch viel erwartet. Service an sich okay, aber für das Lokal an sich schon zu wenig bzw. zu unerfahren/ungeschult (aufdecken/abräumen). 4x Roastbeef Medium bestellt, 2x durch und kalt bekommen mit kaltem Kartoffelgratin!! Kalt, nicht angekühlt sondern kalt. (Die anderen beiden waren zumindest warm und nur „fast“ durch - aber auch nicht Medium) Zurückgehen lassen, darauf ein „Entschuldigung, wollen sie wohl ein neues“ war alles. Ansonsten sehr forsch wegen der Reklamation. Neue Teller waren dann warm und auch Medium. Service offensichtlich überfordert mit der Situation, aber auch keinerlei Entgegenkommen. Für die Preise und den Anspruch viel zu wenig! Schade! Große Enttäuschung.

Das Bootshaus ist ein tolles Hotel mit erstklassigem Service, stilvollem Ambiente und das mitten im Herzen von Amberg. Das Restaurant bietet hervorragendes Essen mit einem aufmerksamen, netten Service und einem richtig guten Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Die Getränkekarte ist ebenfalls sehr gut zusammengestellt und man hat eine umfangreiche Auswahl an verschiedensten Weinen, Bieren, alkoholfreien Getränken und vielen Specials. Besonders gut finde ich den regionalen Fokus bei den Zutaten und Lieferanten. Unser Aufenthalt war wundervoll und wir kommen gerne wieder Vielen Dank an die charmante Gastgeberin und das ganze Team vom Bootshaus Amberg.
