This hotel needs closing down and renovating. Avoid it at all costs. I often use Ibis Styles hotels, via the All Accor Hotels Membership, however, this one should be remove from the All Accor family. It's list of facilities is not factual. The warning bells started ringing at check-in. The place was empty. One lady on the reception desk said hello to us then when I said I have a reservation she returned to her computer. We waited 3 or 4 minutes, and said is there a problem finding it, to which was the reply, I'm not looking at that yet. I passed her my All Accor membership card and told her my name and waited another 2 minutes, only to be asked my name again. It was on the card in front of her. I have often used Ibis Styles and highly praise them, this one though should not be used. Poor attitude of staff, low quality of accommodation, poor facilities. I sat at the bar area and ordered a drink only to be told they don't have a licence to sell alcohol, even though the hotel description state there is a bar and lounge. I was told if I buy a dinner then I can buy a drink. At this point we opted to eat anywhere but there. The room had only a small amount of loo roll in the bathroom so we had to go down and ask for more. My wife decided to make a cup of tea in the reception area, with the facilities, but had to ask for milk. This seemed to be a bit of a chore for the receptionist, who replied with an audible sigh. The toilet in the bathroom was best described as a child's toilet. My wife has arthritis in her knees and found it difficult getting down and up again due to the toilet being lower than normal ones. The wash basin has a plug which does not stop the water draining away, and the wash basin tap is positioned so that water ends up spilling over the side of the basin. The bath tub is an old enamel type with a high lip making it difficult to get into and use the shower. Breakfast at all other Ibis Styles is a pleasure, however, at this one it seemed to be a cost cutting exercise. Raw eggs were provided and the the place to cook them had cool water in it. We had to turn up the thermostat to be able to cook the eggs. A member of staff turned down the thermostat again after we sat down. All the other Ibis Styles I've stayed in provide scrambled eggs as an option, but not this one. The bowl of mixed fruit had been replaced by the fruit already place into small individual glasses of a size chosen by the hotel. More cost cutting. I asked for bread for the toaster as the basket was empty and someone brought out 6 slices, bear in mind this was only 08:15. The baguettes had already been cut into the size the hotel chose. This pointed out the penny pinching which seemed to be going on. There was only one member of staff who could speak English which is very unusual. I think this hotel needs to be fully refitted. Staff included. All Accor group needs to be aware, this reflects badly on them and their brand.
