ANC Resort
"We had a lovely stay at ANC. We spent 2 nights there after flying in from NYC. It was nice to have the pool, the terrace and be in walking distance to the beach (even though when we went there was too much seaweed to swim) most of the people at the front desk were very helpful. You can also walk to Caloura. These were all good things as we got acclimated from jet lag. Peaceful. One person in particular helped me with reservations and good details on our plans. The dinner was good and the breakfasts seem to be the usual fare, a good variety. We’d recommend staying here."
WHITE Exclusive Suites & Villas
"A truly wonderful hotel. With only 9 rooms, the staff focuses on making every guest experience exceptional. The location is great, central enough to explore the Island and come back too every day. While the view from, and upon exiting, your room will take your breath away every single time. All of the accommodations are top notch, the bed was supremely comfortable and even the linens and towels had a plush feeling. Breakfast options can be slightly redundant but the quality and freshness of the ingredients, along homemade jam and juice, as well as a flexibility to switch things up on the menu, more than make up for it. We the hotel restaurant is excellent for dinner as well. So much so that we ended up defaulting to it more than once during our stay. We also appreciated small details like the phone they provided upon check-in that followed us everywhere on the island for spur of the moment suggestions and reservations through the hotel! All in all, highly recommended, my wife and I know we’ll be back!"
Caloura Hotel Resort
"Great hotel as a base camp to visit the island. You will need a car to get to the hotel. But the hotel provides great value for people who want to visit the island longer. One downside of the hotel is the restaurant. Not many choices and the food is just ok. Other than that, I have no complain. Great room, great view, and great staff!"
DoubleTree by Hilton Lagoa Azores
"Everything clean and spa scented clean everywhere you went. The pool bar bathrooms not working. And handwashing sinks had no running water ! The spa only had massages on the menu i was looking forward to few more services. The food was slightly over priced"
Lagoa Hostel & Suites
"The hotel is quite good for the price. They didn't speak Spanish, but we communicated well in English. Recommended. It's in a very nice, quiet area."
Apartamentos Turisticos Nossa Senhora Da Estrela
"The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable and it is very good for you to stay in the hotel . But it's close to everything a little from the airport."
Hotel Arcanjo
"We stayed at hotel arcanjo at the end of February, which is the low season and is their winter. We stayed in room 21, where every morning there were roosters crowing and other animal noises. A surprise is that there were birds on the roof so it sounded like there was someone stomping on the ceiling. Room was clean. The heater was placed in the entry way so not much heat came into the bedroom. The best thing about the hotel is the staff, they are so nice. They were so helpful and polite. The bus to ponta Delgado is located about 1.5 block away. Make sure you see a picture of the bus for the stop, bus goes straight to ponta Delgado however the timing seems to be random. Also at night, sometimes stops are skipped so please be aware. As the locations are not far, the taxi fare was below eur 15."
