Stayed five nights in double annexe. Generous size room, extremely comfortable bed, power shower - everything we needed was provided. Ruth and Mark were lovely hosts and served a good breakfast with plenty of choice on the menu. Ty Mawr is situated close to both mountains and coast (the tip of Mt Snowdon can be seen from the garden). Will we return - of course we will!

YHA Pen-y-Pass was our GCSE Geography field studies base providing a springboard for our trips out to the surrounding area - Llanberis, Ogwen, Beddgelert and Nant Gwynedd. It is good accommodation for our students. From the warm welcome, the good standard rooms and good food to the ever helpful staff, the students and school staff were well catered for across the 4 days of our stay. Thank you and hope to see you again next year.

A beautiful building, atmospheric and old, with a great vioew of Loch Ness - really has to be the best. The hotel is a looking a little old and tired. The 4 poster suite is the best in the hotel, but neeeds and upgrade. The food also needs a total makeover. Verdict: a lovely hotel that needs major investment and upgrade. Book through a travel website, as the hotel's own rates are too high.

I’d like to start by saying that the receptionist was a real gentleman, helping in anyway possible, but it simply wasn’t enough. I paid extra for the Ultimate WiFi which you can purchase for £5 for a maximum of 24hours.. not ideal if you are staying for multiple nights. DO NOT depend on this wifi if you intend on working, as you are likely to be disconnected every hour or so, requiring you to forget the wifi just to enable the reconnection to work. The house keeping is hopeless. I left the sign on the door for the room to be refreshed as well as notifying reception, to return 5 hours later to find 2 big towels on the bed as the only evidence that anyone had been there. Old towels were still in the bath, and no replacement for a hand towel was provided. The bin was full, with recycling surrounding it.. untouched. There was also no refill of condiments such as tea bags or milk. There are condiments to help yourself to at reception but there was no milk, so I asked the gent at the desk who checked and found that they were completely out of stock, which I think is quite a poor standard for such a huge company to be running at out of season. I have stayed at multiple Premier Inns and this is the WORST one yet. I paid the same price for this low level of service as I did to stay in Cardiff Bay Premier Inn, where I received a full refill of tea and coffee each day, fresh towels when asked for and no problems with wifi for 4 consecutive days. Caernarfon was a ghost town this week and the Premier Inn was no exception, so to receive such shoddy service was a BIG surprise from my most trusted hotel company.

We were staying just outside Caernarfon and was advised about this Inn by the lady who owned the cottage we were staying in. We booked Sunday lunch for 1200 and it was getting very busy just before. You have to show a reference number at the carvery station in order to get your meal (you can get this once you either pay online or at the bar). There was a choice of 3 or 4 meats and veggies of course and the portion size was huge. Everything was well cooked and very tasty. However, our only criticism was the Lamb being quite fatty. Everything thing else was great and well worth the effort making the trip there.

Stopped here while on a fishing trip. We have used this hotel on several occasions in the past. The overall stay this year was considerably better. In particular the staff were particularly welcoming and friendly which was not the case last time. The food is excellent and well priced. The cost to stay has gone up quite a bit but I guess that's just a sign of the times. We'll definitely return.

Food was excellent, served by delightful staff, and piping hot on all occasions we visited here. The hotel has a great atmosphere and views over the Menai Strait is sublime. Would like to thank all the staff especially waitress Michelle and waiter Adam who both went that extra yard to make our visits very pleasurable. Will definitely be coming back next year to this wonderful place.

The room is large, has a very old feel but is very clean and tidy! The service is very good and the environment is very good. It is right next to the sea and you can take beautiful photos. It’s not a big town and it’s very convenient and close to everywhere, just ten minutes’ drive away! Breakfast is highly recommended!

Outstanding
GGuest UserWe stayed for 2 nights in a Superior King room on the first floor and had an excellent stay. The room was very well equipped, super comfy bed, large bath room with all the amenities, a well stacked welcome tray and with Jan, the proprietor, a wonderful host. When we arrived by car Jan asked wether we were lucky to find a parking space in Church St. (which we were on both days, right across the B&B) and took her time to give us a tour of the house and garden. Everything was explained to us and we received good recommendations about places to eat (try the Caernarfon Tandoori, which is very good!). In the mornings she was assisted by Michelle, who waited the tables - always with a smile and time for a little chat. Breakfast was very tasty, we could order what ever we liked from the extensive menue - esp. the Welsh Rarebit was delicious. The B&B is situated very close to the castle, marina and many pubs and restaurants. We definitely will stay here again when back in Wales!
A beautiful place, the setting is simply spectacular. Beddgelert is a lovely little Welsh village not far from Yr Wyddfa, and this hotel did not disappoint in any way. The bathroom was spotless with lovely amenities, nothing out of place. The included breakfast was ample but cooked to order items are also available. Quick walk or drive to the village, where at least three pubs offer good food options. Excellent hotel with an excellent, friendly staff.
GGuest UserThe hotel is ok if you book it for 3 people or less. I booked it for my family of 4 and the description on the booking site was different from what I had. Description on Trip.com clearly mentioned that I will have 1 double bed and 2 single beds, but 1 single bed finally changed to a sofa bed. I did discuss it with the concierge, and she said the hotel policy can arrange a sofa bed if 3 bed’s bedrooms are full. I did check again, I really didn’t find it on policy page and also room description. Lastly, the sofa bed, I actually don’t think it is a sofa bed. The sofa cannot be extended. The arm of the sofa and the back of the sofa are still there.
Rraymond swe we were with a coach party, Crosskeys. and had a lovely time here, warm welcome, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. the rooms were spacious and clean and tidy and well looked after during our stay. and the views were good. the food for breakfast and dinner was good and plenty to choose from. the hotel itself was spotless, and nothing was any trouble to the staff to make our stay enjoyable. we did think the price for blackcurrant and water steep, at £1.75 a pint. we only paid 45p a pint in Scotland, we had a disabled room, but the toilet seat was low for my wife, and no grab handles in the shower, our only fault, but overall it was a lovely holiday from monday to friday. would love to go back there again and explore more of the area. stunning scenery.
