Movenpick Hotels in Lapu-Lapu City

Nice somewhat dated hotel. 3-4 star level. Its attractiveness is based exclusively on the foyer, the shared spaces at the lobby level (including the artificially created beach) and great service. Spectacular view from the large and airy foyer with plenty of spots to sit down and enjoy a cocktail with view. Huge/ opulent exercise area located in an adjacent condo building. The food available is excellent, but the choice too limited for a “luxury hotel” and totally overpriced. Hard to understand as there are nice eateries within walking distance. I guess they just don’t have the view… Rooms ARE functional, but dated and 3 star level at best. While colors are fresh and cool, the furniture is old and has recently been hand painted in white (!) so, surfaces are even still a bit sticky…! Bottom line: great for a short visit or just a cocktail enjoying the view.
