"Room > Pros - very clean, nice king bed, and multiple outlets for charging.
> Cons - “sea view” was a little disappointing and we could see more of a construction site as opposed to the ocean, which was quite far. No bidet/shower attached to toilet, and shower would not get hot enough at first (had to have staff come fix it).
Service > Pros- staff were very helpful, greeted us at every turn, and did their best to accommodate any requests we had regarding the room and hotel services. The spa was also very nice and happy with the quality of massage we received by the staff. Same extends to the your desk, who were very helpful arranging a jetski session for us.
> cons - N/A
Location > Pros - nice location on Mactan island, with a private beach, relatively close to the airport which was a big plus.
> cons - a bit far from the city center, so the drive was quite long to Ayala mall. But not really a “con” if you intend to spend most of your time on the resort.
Amenities > Pros - overall room has everything we need as far as toothbrush, sanitary goods etc.
cons - complimentary water was not in the room when we first arrived, we had to ask for it thru guest services.
Overall: Nice hotel, some small inconveniences but good value for money, and would stay again."
"Good hotel for your money. 24-hour reception. Very polite staff. In addition, opposite the hotel there are a lot of places to eat and shops to buy food. However, the hotel is located in a very noisy part of the road. The hotel itself has poor soundproofing of the windows and a very noisy air conditioner. For people with light sleep, this will be torture. Breakfasts are extremely mediocre, it is better to eat elsewhere. There is a good laundromat nearby."
"We booked two rooms and we were only able to get one room when we checked in and the other room an hour and a half after! We followed up multiple times and complained about how the room wasn’t ready when it’s already the check-in time. They told us that the staff was already on the way up to bring the key card for the other room yet it took a long time (given the fact that the rooms were just at the second floor, above the lobby) when we followed up for the third time, we were told that the card was being brought from the main wing that’s why it’s taking so long like? we literally got the key card from our first room on the front desk lobby below our floor (ocean wing). They are also very strict about the room capacity that you have to pay 3k plus to pay for an extra person unlike other four-five star hotels. The room was also dusty, my boyfriend kept sneezing non-stop when we went in the room and had to take anti-histamine. Facilities were great though."

"I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience! The breakfast buffet was the highlight of my stay—there were so many options to choose from, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you prefer a hearty meal or something light, there’s definitely something for everyone.
The hotel also offers various scheduled activities, which add to the fun experience. My personal favorite was the foam party, though I believe it’s only available on weekends or specifically on Saturday nights. If you’re around during that time, it’s definitely worth joining!
As for the room, it was absolutely the best—spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. However, it does come at a higher price, but the quality and comfort make it worth it.
Another great feature is that the hotel is pet-friendly, which is a big plus for those traveling with pets! Just note that there is an additional fee for bringing your furry friends.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, especially for those who enjoy good food, fun activities, and a comfortable stay!"
"We just returned home from Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan. It was our first time in Cebu. It was a short but great trip.
The highlights:
Accommodations: We chose Crimson because we frequent high-rise hotels when traveling and decided this time we wanted a villa/bungalow type of room. No hallways and no elevators. Crimson checked those boxes. They also accommodated our requests for a king bed and first floor room.
Activities and amenities: Our daughter loved Crimzone and the children’s pool. It was hard to get her to leave. The Saturday foam party was fun and the pool staff were engaging. My wife and I both availed the spa and wow, we can see why they won an award for Best Value in Asia. The price was affordable while the quality of service was top-notch.
Food: The buffet breakfast was good and had a lot of variety. My favorite item was the fruit and veggie smoothies. Who knew bakchoy and mango blend well together? But it was the attentive staff that really made breakfast a great experience. We tried the 24-hour room service and I swear the chicken club sandwich was one of the best I’ve had in my entire life 5/5!
The lowlights:
Here are some reasons why we are not giving Crimson an excellent review.
1. Overpriced/low quality food in Saffron during ala carte dinner. Our first night we arrived in the evening and were hungry. For two people (our daughter is a toddler) we paid over 5000php for an appetizer, 3 entrees, one beer and one bottle of water. Honestly, the price would be ok for this amount of food if the quality was better. I would suggest Aka or Enye for higher quality food although we didn’t try either. Saffron was empty that night and we found out why.
2. Distance to places/sites. Crimson is quite far for shopping or eating at other restaurants. We hired a private car for 3 hours and was only able to visit two sites and one pasalubong store. Luckily it was only moderate traffic on that Saturday. 2500php for a sedan for 3 hours was reasonable.
3. The gift shop is waaaay overpriced. 950php for a small tube of sunblock seemed very high even at a resort. We also wanted some souvenirs, but there wasn’t much variety at all.
4. Our room needed some TLC. The paint in the nice tub was chipping, the caulking in the showers could use a refresh and there was a huge ipis (roach) in the closet. Luckily we spent most of the time outside the room.
5. No floaties or life vests for toddlers to use, even for rental. Despite having almost everything else, this would have been a nice touch.
6. We came to Cebu for mangoes and lechon, but Crimson didn’t offer these items and again, because of distance, it would have been nice to have some at the hotel.
The bottom line:
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to others, however we would give them our full review so they are aware of the pros and cons.
Thank you to the wonderful staff that made up for the minor issues we encountered!"
"This place is fabulous. Staff is top notch, very friendly and helpful. Some of the best food I’ve had in the Philippines. Lovely place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or your favorite drink. Clean swimming pool with seating around. Library with plenty of reading material. Large ceiling fans and standing fans to keep you cool in the garden room while you eat or sit at the bar. Easy to get a grab ride to airport or shopping malls.
Looking forward to my next stay."
"The rooms and grounds are clean. The showers are good and the toilets are not clogged. The hotel staff are friendly and polite. The hotel is located on a busy road, so the noise from horns and other things can be a bit loud."
"The sheets and towels themselves weren't clean. There were a lot of stains, and there seemed to be a banquet hall right next to the accommodation, but a lot of events were held. If they overlap, it might be noisy. Breakfast was just mediocre and the menu was all the same!! There was a choice, but even if I chose it, it seemed like it just came out prepared. It's better not to expect it.
There is a Korean restaurant nearby, but it was so delicious that it was better than I thought."
"The room is enormous, and also the bathroom. There’s a kitchen inside and 2 tables to work. Definitely, is one of the best places where we stayed in Southeast Asia. The staff is helpful. There’s an Italian restaurant in the round floor, and also a store and a laundry (they wash and dry everything in hours). The grab to airport is cheaper than the service offered by the hotel."
"The hotel is far from Cebu city and the airport, so access is poor, but the hotel facilities and services are very good."

BBani Garcia AlleyI was truly impressed by the warmth and friendliness of the entire staff—from the concierge and reception team to the kitchen' staff, housekeeping, public area staff, and security. What made my stay even more special was how they accommodated my request for a high-floor room with a stunning partial ocean view. The room was impeccably clean, and I appreciated the thoughtful details, from the plush pillows that ensured a great night's sleep to the automatic AC adjustment when the sliding door was opened.
Breakfast was another highlight, and I must give special praise to the pastry chef—the croissants were exceptional, even better than those from some renowned pastry shops. Extra credit to the chef for such a delightful treat! Overall, my experience at The Reef was truly memorable, and I’ll cherish the wonderful moments it provided.

AAvikntosThe standout feature of this hotel was undoubtedly the staff. They were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure that my stay was enjoyable. Their warm hospitality really made a difference.
The food at the hotel restaurant was also impressive. I particularly enjoyed the variety and quality of the dishes offered. However, one area for improvement would be the service time for food orders. While the meals were delicious, the wait time of 20 to 30 minutes felt a bit lengthy, and I believe it could be shortened to around 10 minutes for a more efficient dining experience.
Despite this minor issue, I would still highly recommend the hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable stay with great service and tasty food.

JJoieeCheck-in & Check-out was seamless. Room was very clean and spacious. Got upgraded Thank you. All staff provided a great service. For cons, tv is not smart tv. There is a bidet in the restroom but weird thing it was installed on the left part. Warm lighting is a bit dark. Breakfast buffet was okay. Airport shuttle was the best. Other than that, this is your choice of hotel if you’re up to an affordable one that’s very accessible to the airport & provides a pleasant stay.

KKevinrlee91It was okay. The people working there were very friendly and the layout of the place was decent. There’s a lot of construction going on; the spa was closed and they’d be spray painting the bridge going over the pool while people were in the pool. It looked like a job that could’ve been done in a day which they stretched out the entire duration (probably still a parking on it now). The spa was the same- closed and under construction the whole time. The place is next to a big vacant construction lot where dogs would howl for the majority of the night. The majority of the food was awful and overpriced, you’re better off going out to eat. To put it into perspective, a beer at the fanciest restaurant outside the hotel cost 125 pesos, there it cost 265.
I accidentally booked 7 days instead of 6 and they wouldn’t refund me which is mainly why I’m writing this brutally honest review. Bluewater down the road it’s much better.

DDan_de_LionIt gets too crowded especially during the buffet breakfast but at least they refill the food quite fast with great options. Love that they provide complimentary birthday greetings upon request. A lot of activities to choose from, entertainment at night with a fire dance as the highlight and pool options too. Place is indeed a 5 star experience.

DDillhI had a wonderful stay at Savoy! The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The room was clean, spacious, and had an amazing sea/beach view. The breakfast buffet had a great variety, and food is absolutely delicious—every dish was a hit! just a short walk to pool, beach and attractions. Highly recommend!

GGuest UserDefinitely a 3 star rating. The room was very clean but showing its age a little though the bed was comfortable. Nice swimming pool and outdoor area, plemty of deck chaors and places to sit around the pool. Breakfast was decent without being spectacular. Has a nice seaside feel to it but it's not of a resort standard, Needs to be modernised if it wants to reach a higher standard. My other complaint is that it is a bit far from anywhere (though some people may like this) however there is a 7/11 right across the street which was super convenient. OK for a short stay.

AAnonymous UserRoom is spacious, has a mini fridge and hot water facilities. They have available parking, there's a cafe at the lobby where you can order. Location is great as it is beside The Outlets where there are dining options, grocery and shopping and it is along the natiinal highway. There is also free transport from and to airport.

ZZanriThis resort is average. The staff are lovely and very helpful, but it looks better in the pictures. We couldn't swim at the 'beach' and the facilities are somewhat dated.
Moreover, it is somewhat overpriced for what you get. I don't mind paying good money for a good stay, but I'm not sure that the food, though good, is worth what one is charged.
We went to lunch at Azure by Crimson Resort and our bill was only slightly higher than at this resort. Considering that Crimson is a luxury resort and Azure has a 5-star rating, it seems a bit off. Also, be aware that you will be charged a 2000peso deposit per night.
It is also very far from everything else and the facilities close early. You are not allowed to order food on Grab or bring in any other food from the outside unless you're willing to pay 35% 'corkage fee'. A bit ridiculous. Also, they had a zumba class on the lawn next to the restaurant and played really loud music before 7am on a Saturday. It was really annoying.
It wasn't a bad stay. It was average. .
