Hotel2Stay ★★★★
"Very good location ... Just a few train stops from Schiphol Airport to reach Sloterdijk Station. Few minutes walk from here to hotel. Transportation hub is just right in front of hotel. Flixbus stops is also 5mins away from hotel.. Super convenient with a mini mart n as well as some eateries around the corner. More choices avaliable if venture further out.. Spacious n clean room. Clean n fresh towels. Daily housekeeping. Comfy bed with pillows abit soft though.. No AC but a air cooling system. Provided a table fan during this super hot summer trip. A complete kitchenette with a new set of cleaning set provided. Water dispenser is located at the lobby. Laundry room is at 1st floor. €4 per usage. It comes with a detergent capsule. Required a deposit of €100 upon check in. Friendly staff but lack of manpower at times. Mostly with 1 staff at reception desk. With 1staff around, we nearly missed our bus to Brussels just to wait for staff to retrieve our stored luggage... No toiletries n indoor slippers provided unless upon request. No hair conditioner or body lotion as well. Just a 2 in 1 body n hair shampoo is used... With a rating of a 4* hotel, it should do better Overall had a satisfactory stay n experience"

"In the countryside near the airport, breakfast needs to be purchased separately. The breakfast is so-so, but the coffee is good, and the night sleep is very quiet. The room is a bit small, you can stay for one night by plane."

Holiday Inn Express AMSTERDAM - SCHIPHOL by IHG ★★★
"The hotel is easy to get to from Slipp Airport basically a three minute train ride from the airport to the station and then a 10 minute walk so location is very convenient. The hotel itself is basic as can be expected. Comfort and cleanliness in acceptable. The only issue is that you need to pay local tax when you arrive and they do not accept cash so for the sake of one euro also I was nearly sleeping rough"

Amsterdam Hotels Booking Tips

  • Book Early for Peak Seasons: Hotels sell out quickly during April–September, public holidays, and major events like King’s Day or ADE, so book months ahead.
  • Consider Off-Season Travel: October to March usually offers better hotel rates, except around Christmas and New Year.
  • Choose Areas with Good Value: Central areas like Jordaan and the Canal Ring are popular, while Noord, West, and Oost offer lower prices with easy transport.
  • Match Location to Your Plans: Stay near the Canal Ring for sightseeing, Noord for creative districts, or Zuidas for business trips.
  • Stay Near Public Transport: Pick hotels within a 10-minute walk of metro or tram stops to save time and avoid traffic.
  • Save with Deals: Compare booking platforms, check hotel websites, and new Trip.com users can enjoy up to 10% off hotel bookings.
