This is honestly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Everything was perfect — the cleanliness, the decoration, and the overall atmosphere.
What made this place truly special is the staff. Every single person I met was incredibly kind, welcoming and genuinely warm. You can really feel that they care, and it makes all the difference.
The luggage storage service before check-in and after check-out is very convenient and included, which is a big plus.
They even offer free coffee, snacks, drinks and more, which is amazing. And the breakfast is incredibly good and very varied — honestly one of the best I’ve had.
I would definitely come back if I return to Amsterdam. I can’t thank them enough.
And also the staff speak multiple languages, which makes communication very easy. If you’re still hesitating, just go for it!
This place deserves 10 stars, not 5.

I haven’t stayed in a hostel in Europe for a long time but I thought The Bee Hostel was great. Check in process was easy and staff are friendly. You get a free beverage voucher upon check in. The hostel didn’t feel crowded despite the dorms having 8 beds. The dorms have air conditioning which was a pleasant surprise. When there aren’t people shuffling around the dorms are dead quiet. Only things that could be better is the ventilation and water pressure in the showers.

AchengdebairimengThe hotel's location is super convenient, really close to the train station and all the main attractions. Both the hotel and the room were spotless and didn't have any strange smells, which was great. The only minor downside was that the music from nearby bars could be a bit loud at night.

Guest UserI stayed two nights instead of one due to the holiday altering at the last minute. First room was comfortable if the decor was a little tatty with age. Only complaint really is lack of space in the en-suite but shower was good and all private facilities is very good rather than sharing something larger.
The second room was better decorated and had the same facilities as the first including a safe which is excellent. No in room drinks but free use of drinks dispenser at reception which was handy enough and made a refreshing drink. I didn’t miss the lack of meals as they offered a 10% discount at the Argentine restaurant on the ground floor - so far I haven’t had occasion to try it.
As other reviews point out the stairs are steep and I personally wouldn’t want to be any higher than the first floor just because of the struggle to get a case up and down.
Having changed rooms reception staff were very friendly and helpful I felt that my luggage was safe with them while the second room was prepared.
While I was there the temperature outside was in the mid to high 20s but both rooms were fine with the air conditioning working fine contrary to other reports
All in all I was very happy with my stay and plan to rebook for my return journey home with it being very handy for Eurostar.

公幹狂人The location is superb, just a 6-minute walk from the train station. In the evenings, it's a ten-minute walk to ***. There are plenty of restaurants nearby; the entire street is practically lined with eateries.
Overall, the room was clean. However, I found it quite peculiar that in the Netherlands, house taxes are levied based on a property's width, which explains why most buildings are long and narrow.
The only drawback was that when I needed to store my luggage before checking out, the storage room was located downstairs, requiring me to carry my bags down a very narrow and steep staircase, one by one.

Convenient location as it is close to the central station (5-minute walking). Friendly staff and clean room. It was rather noisy at night as there are restaurants and bars nearby. No elevator so it is hard to carry large luggage upstairs (stairs are narrow by the way).

I was a bit worried after booking this hotel due to the bad reviews I saw but honestly my experience was absolutely fine. The room and bed was clean. It was quiet and the location was excellent. I was able to walk to everything but there’s a metro right outside too. The bed was comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful

Guest UserThe location is spectacular, and the room itself was fine.
The downsides: As I'd seen in other comments, the stairs are very steep. The room they gave me didn't have a double bed; it was two small beds pushed together, which was a bit uncomfortable for a couple. Also, the noise from outside is very loud. I was able to sleep, but if you're someone who struggles to fall asleep, I wouldn't recommend it because you can hear everything, and there are kids screaming outside at all hours of the night.
The hotel reception was good.

The location is good, quite close to Amsterdam station and the city center.
To enter the hotel, you have to go to the reception of the hotel next door and have them open the door for you, which is a bit of a hassle, but the location is good and the room is just up the stairs, so overall it is convenient.
The toilet and shower are shared outside the room, but there is a sink in the room.

Lizzi BrownThe hostel is in a good location out of the centre, it's an easy tram ride in to Centraal with very frequent trams.
You get what you pay for, it's cheap and cheerful but very good value for budget accomodation just a short trip from Amsterdam city centre.
The beds were very comfortable, the room was larger than expected and very airy as we were in an attic room and all the windows opened.
The stairs were a bit treacherous, very steep and winding but a nice feature of an old traditional building.
The showers and facilities were fine, kept clean by other travellers and staff and the kitchen was fine too.
I would definitely stay here again for cheap, reasonable accommodation.
