"Positives - on the beach front with lovely views, just a short walk to all the tourist attractions. Very nice English breakfast. Staff were polite and efficient. Lobby areas neat and tidy. Good lunch food. Negatives. Upstairs hallways and bedrooms are in very poor condition. Peeling wallpaper, dirty sofas, threadbare carpets, scratched paintwork and faded curtains. Private Parking advertised but still costs £25 a night. Limited amenities."

"I stayed there for one night. Asked for a quiet room but the street noise was still really loud since it's facing the main street. But it's so easy to find from the station. I could also hear water hitting the shower floor through the ceiling and the whole facility seems outdated. Bed was comfortable though. The breakfast was fine. They seem to accommodate people with different diertey requirements The worst experience was a smoke detector tester knocking on the door in the morning. Why can they just wait for a few hours until the check out or at least inform ahead of time? I'm a female staying alone and there's a man just knowing and coming into the room, it's really scary."

"The room cleaning was rough, and a tip would have been better. There was no refrigerator in the room, and no toiletries, just towels. The shampoo and shower gel were also inferior. However, the hotel is in a good location and is very convenient to get around. The room is larger than most here, and the hotel is also new. The breakfast is also good."

"From start to end the staff wonderful. Qiality of room, bed, favilities above expectation. Bed and linen of very good quslity. Location really good. Breakfast was very ampme and good quality. Very satisfactory. Did not ise the complimentary gym facilties, games room or laundry available to guests but it looked very good. "You need to know, this place is a bar with rooms.  When I booked my room, I had asked for a room that is not close to the lift (elevator). After check in, I realized my room was right next to the lift.  I was woken up 3 times during the night by people (intoxicated) who got off the lift and tried to open my door (that’s why you never get a room next to the lift).  I can’t fault Legends for drunk people trying to open my door, but I won’t stay there again."

"The hotel is located by the sea. From the train station, it's best to take a bus, as walking is inconvenient due to the numerous hills. The room was tiny, and for an older hotel, the lack of a phone and air conditioning was quite unbearable. Luckily, opening the window provided a cool breeze. I booked well in advance, but was surprised to find the price significantly cheaper when I checked on the day of arrival. Their pricing seems very inconsistent."

The hotel's location is a definite highlight—it’s just a two-minute walk from the bustling Brighton Pier and a stone's throw from some fantastic independent coffee shops and restaurants. This made exploring the city on foot incredibly easy and convenient. The staff were a particular standout. From the moment we checked in, the front desk team was welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful. They provided us with a map and some excellent recommendations for local places to eat, which were spot on. Our room was also a great feature; it was spacious, very clean, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in at a hotel. While my stay was largely positive, there were a couple of minor issues that kept it from being a perfect 5-star experience. Overall, I would highly recommend the Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton particularly for those looking for a great location and a comfortable stay. The fantastic staff and clean, well-appointed rooms make it an excellent choice for a weekend getaway. While there are a few small areas for improvement, I would certainly consider staying here again on my next visit to Brighton."

The bed was perfect, and the room was equipped with everything I needed, including a good work desk and tea/coffee facilities. I also found the hotel's amenities to be top-notch. The breakfast was a definite highlight, with a wide selection of delicious options to start the day. Overall, my stay at the Leonardo Hotel Brighton was nothing short of excellent. "Beautifully decorated room with a small balcony to enjoy the sun . The room was big, very clean and the bed comfy. Bed linen crisp and pillows just right. We had air conditioning or could open the windows to let the sea air in! The bathroom, toiletries and towels good quality. Theres a safe, fridge and good sized wardrobe with shelves . Kettle with tea and coffee also a coffee pod machine to use. We didn’t book for breakfast but it was an option. Staff pleasant and helpful. Would recommend"

"Came here for the night as a little getaway for myself and I can say I definitely chose the best hotel. Immediately coming in, the staff are so welcoming and attentive. The interior to the hotel is beautiful and timeless. My room was gorgeous and the bathroom was lovely with good lighting to get ready in! Overall I’m so impressed and will definitely be coming back and recommending to others."
