First of all, hotel is ok, but will never stay here again. Ever. Pros: Hotel was clean, room was clean, had a dehumidifier that worked wonders with the Florida humid weather. Cleaning stuff was friendly, they couldn't really do much to help or know how to, but they were nice. There's a computer in the breakfast area that's good for a quick search, flight check in, etc. Free wifi n parking. Cons.: Virtual assistant was friendly to us, but witnessed some interactions with other arriving customers that weren't that professional tbh. Working in customer service, I know you have hard times every now n then, but keep your face neutral pls. No need to have a complain when you can avoid it. Pool was closed, think they were renovating it, A/C in breakfast/business area was broken (which we complained more than a few times with virtual assistants that couldn't really see what was happening), after a few days they said, yup, it's broken. Given that there was a maintenance guy on site most days, guess he should have noticed temp was way over 80 inside, sometimes felt even hotter that outdoors. The maintenance guy seemed to be spending more time sitting in the breakfast area with his cell or couches that actually maintaining anything. Only cold breakfast, except for waffle maker. Hardboiled eggs not really my thing, There were also apples, yoghurt, cereals, muffins and bread you could toast, truly missed options resembling American traditional breakfast, like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, anything hot actually. Felt truly that it wasn't a safe place to stay, anyone could wonder around, even if not staying. Sometimes, you'd see side door open and blocked from closing cos cleaning crew was taking stuff out, there are cameras, but with no staff there full time, not knowing if someone is watching, gave me the creep. No front desk, means anyone can go in. No one to ask for anything on site, like I said, cleaning crew was helpful to a point, they're not front desk, and no one expects them to be, since that's not what their being paid for, also English might be an issue. Last thing, shower: it's one of those built in, so for people over 6'3” prepare to face the shower head, eye to eye.

We had stayed at this hotel a few years ago when visiting relatives in Florida. We booked it for a couple of days as we are moving our dad to nursing care on Cape Coral. All we wanted was a good nights sleep in a clean room. This hotel has been updated so much since we were here before. My husband was laughing at how excited I was to see Dove Body Lotion in the bath room, just coming from the Bahamas, my skins was so dry…they have Kerigs for coffee and tea in the room, new carpeting, walls and ceilings newly painted and the beds are so comfy. Just what we need for this trip. There was some music playing next door, but we had a small balcony to sit on a have a cup of tea before bed and listen to the tunes, they stopped at 9, so not any issues with that at all. We have an early start tomorrow so glad they have breakfast in the lobby. I would highly recommend this hotel to travelers. We stayed in room 320 today 3/30 and will stay on 3/31 and head home on Saturday.

Check-in and check-out are carried out through a ”virtual” employee. This is fascinating but habitual. In times of impact, you also wait quite long because there is only one ”kiosk” / screen. The rooms are quite used but clean. I was first paid a service fee twice, but refunded on objections. The room safes available as described were not existing. The use of single-way wardrobe for the whole breakfast is no longer up-to-date and heard urgently changed.

All rooms have a super view towards Fort Myers and you can sit super on the balcony until late evening and enjoy the view of a (or more) well-served beer(s).

It was beyond words amazing! Jesus at the front desk, Isaiah at Sandollar! The Tiki bar and pool right on the beach, the spotless rooms! I can’t say enough! Our family has been coming to Sanibel for 60+ years and this is by far the best! This was our first time staying here and we already booked our Thanksgiving week here the day we got home. We honestly don’t know where the negative reviews come from, but there’s negative people everywhere, sadly. It was so relaxing and gorgeous and everyone was so genuinely friendly. The beds are the most comfortable beds ever ever ever. My only thing negative is that I didnt care for the people next to us setting up their beach chairs in the walkway and smoking and also these people taking the Sandollars out of the ocean and hiding them in their bags, going back for more. Please put up signage that it is illegal to take these babies out of their ocean!

Excellent
It has been awhile since we have vacationed at this gorgeous resort. From the minute you walk into the lobby you smell that beautiful aroma and are welcomed with a glass of champagne. The landscaping is so nice and tropic. All the pools, lazy river and slides are extremely clean and so much fun to spend time at everyone of them. We always enjoy taking the elevator down to the pool grounds as you walk through a tunnel with a beautiful mural on the walls. It's like walking thru the ocean (picture below). The Cork Screw pool bar has very good food, plenty to drink and very nice servers. Mangroves is a nice lounge and also has very good food. Our server Cierra was wonderful. She took very good care of us and was so nice to talk too! Thursday, the day of hurricane Helene, the hotel closed down all the pools and had all the entrances/exits closed and sandbagged, except the front lobby. You were free to come and go. Understandably as they wanted to keep all the guests safe from the storm. One of the best things to do is to take the ferry over to the beach. We saw dolphins every morning riding along the ferry. It was such a great way to start the day. The beach is beautiful and you practically have it all to yourself. Not crowded at all and very clean. Wonderful vacation!
My group stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and used their meeting room for our director meeting. Our guest rooms were beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The meeting room was the perfect size for our group, and a/v equipment worked smoothly. The management team was very responsive to requests during the planning stage. We will return! I highly recommend!
JJennifer PHelena Guest, the Hansens. The hotel was spotless before the storm, during the storm and after the storm. Certain staff went above and beyond. At check-in Joey was professional during immense outside pressure conditions. Housekeeping let me have my peace without pressure. One important team member with Housekeeping, Maria, took care of what I asked for under 2 seconds. Throughout our stay (we will need accomadations longer due to damage) as I looked around Maria was at different locaions cleaning away. Thank the Lord for you and yours... Jennifer Pomphrey.
GGuest UserWe love this location right in the middle of downtown Fort Myers, Florida. We've stayed here a few times, including before the recent renovation. There is a an interesting variety of rooms with different layouts which we enjoyed. This time we chose a King room with balcony and city view. The balcony is small but big enough for 2 people and while it does have an ok ”city view,” it also looks down upon another roof below with all the air conditioners (something we do not like when paying extra for a ”view”). However, you can also see the river along with a bit of Patio DeLeon, in the middle of downtown Fort Myers. At night, is where the view shines with all the colorful lighting and usual music can be heard from live musicians. This room is fairly large for a boutique hotel with a larger than usual TV. However, the TV and dresser on which it sits are oddly placed in a corner at an angle, and pretty far from the bed detracting from the size of the screen. Programming is not in HD and also not set to the correct proportions (everything was vertically compressed) and the remote does not allow adjustments for this. It has a nice kitchenette area with a mini fridge but no microwave which we thought it should have given the price for the room and how inexpensive small microwaves cost (It may have been an option but it should already be there). Shower is very nice but every 30 seconds the water pressure dropped, then climbed back up - no biggie, just odd. Toilet paper seemed cheap for this type of hotel but all other items seemed to match this type of hotel. You have to pay $3 per bottle for the 2 bottles that are already in the room. It's like ”nickel and diming” for something as inexpensive as bottled water - like having no microwave, it takes away from the experience given the price of the room. Some light fixtures were not fully seated into the ceiling and like most hotels, the air vent in the bathroom had visible dust (I realize most people don't even look at these things, but I tend to notice it). The bed, although newer, was very firm, and not what we typically find in an upscale hotel. The walls are ”thin” allowing sounds from outside and adjacent rooms to be heard which is just an observation, not necessarily a negative. Front desk personnel were friendly, professional and helpful. Parking options are basically valet or one of 2 nearby parking garages. One parking garage is literally across the street which worked great for us at a lot less than using valet - pros and cons to each. The ice machine on our floor was not working which requires you to acquire ice on another floor (we were on the 7th floor - the top floor). There is a nice little rooftop bar which has a similar view of the city as our room but a little higher. The bar area has decent seating with a good mix of small couches, chairs and high top tables. We did not eat or have room service during this stay but it's available. Overall, it's a very nice, small hotel in an ideal, convenient location and we will definitely go back.
GGuest UserThe location is perfect, it's very close to Bell Tower, Dave & Buster's and many good restaurants. And it's also only 20 mins from Downtown.
In general, the hotel is clean. However, I found a little hair on the toilet, I have to use a disinfection wipe to clean it by myself.
Besides that, the fitness center is big enough and the swimming pool is also nice.
GGuest UserIt is unfortunate that I must write this review publicly as I did submit my concerns to the management team over 2 weeks ago on their website. I did not even get a generic, ”sorry, we will address the issue” response. Nothing. So, with that being said, I want to warn others of this establishment. Though the entire hotel is in need of a serious renovation I am able to overlook outdated furniture if well maintained and cleaned properly. However, upon immediately entering the room the smell was off putting. It was so bad at night that I had to sleep facing the wall with my head under the covers in order to avoid it. I am sharing a picture of the wall next to the bed just above the lamp where you can see the amount of dust that has accumulated over time. Clearly housekeeping and maintenance do not keep a regular deep cleaning schedule of the rooms and carpet. When paying nearly $400 a night, I find this absolutely unacceptable. The second picture is of the sign on the back of the door and in red at the bottom lists the max price for the room as $299. Clearly management is taking advantage of the recent major hurricane that hit and are price gouging now that there is limited housing and rooms available. What a shame too because the staff is fantastic, and I hope they know they deserve better. I can't imagine the number of complaints they must have to deal with onsite due to the manager/ owner not maintaining the property. They can easily go elsewhere and honesty they should.
GGuest UserThe trip to the hotel was very relaxed and refreshing wood come back to again and a gain also the price was a very good one I will recommend you come to fort Myers and get a ride to the best places in yown
GGuest UserThe staff here was the best thing this hotel has going for it. That is really the only positive thing I have to say about my stay there.
The shuttle doesn’t start running until 10:30 am. When I arrived around 11, they didn’t have a room so I went to the pool to sit and wait. The pool area was fine, but the furniture is pretty beat up.
I went back inside after a while and heard person after person checking out complaining about dirty rooms, smells, and loud noise at night. It became clear that this is not just an airport hotel, but also a low rent living situation for a few people.
The front desk staff eventually got a room cleaned for me so I could check in early. My room was definitely not what I expected based on the photos. Paint was chipped, the shower was not clean and had mildew all around the seams. The room smelled musty. The pillows were the size of throw pillows you’d put on your sofa. Very bizarre.
I realize that it’s cheap and it’s near the airport so one can’t expect a first-class experience and I don’t go into it with those expectations. However, I wouldn’t stay there again.
GGuest UserDue to unforseen circumstances we had to cancel, The staff made checkin and check out very easy and processes or cancelation and refund with no problems what so ever.
