It was a very pleasant surprise to find accommodation where we felt comfortable, as if we were in our own home. Everything was well designed to make us feel part of Lerwick! The soft beds and well-designed wardrobes provided an excellent environment to recharge your batteries and explore the charms of the Shetland Islands.

On my first visit to Shetland I was extremely fortunate to have booked accommodation at the Fort Charlotte Guest House. It was very comfortable with delicious breakfasts. Ryan and the team were ideal hosts and extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

We absolutely loved our stay with Ryan and Anita at the Fort Charlotte Guest House. For a start they are extremely friendly, but at the same time run a very professional B&B. The place itself is perfectly located and the breakfasts were of a very high quality.

The Fort Charlottes Guest House was fantastic. It was in the perfect location for walking around Lerwick. Ryan and Anita were very helpful in suggesting where to visit and how to find transportation. Thank you for such a wonderful time in Shetland.

It was my second stay, having stayed last year. The location is great, really central and the building is historic. It's good, but it could be so much better. It would be nice to see local businesses represented, either by providing room amenities, or showcasing locally sourced breakfast produce instead of bulk bought pastries wrapped in plastic. At £135 a night, it doesn't include breakfast, not even continental and if you want anything it's an extra £10. It's the small things that make a difference and in my mind would make the stay more enjoyable.

Absolutely fantastic guest house. Better than any of the hotels I have stayed in here in Lerwick. The owners are lovely and friendly and sooo accommodating. The rooms are lovely and fresh and the breakfasts are to die for. This guest house is an absolute gem and well worth the price when comparing to hotels in the area. We hope to visit again when working in the area. Thank you sooo much.

We loved staying here; the room was cozy, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The people who work there were fantastic. The location was central to both Lerwick and points beyond. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for these fine qualities in a guest house.

The location is great--quiet at night, but convenient to shops and restaurants. Breakfasts were delicious! Ryan and Anita were warm and friendly hosts. Our stay was during the Shetland Folk Festival, and the guest house was an easy walk to the three in-town locations.
