The Liverpool Inn Hotel

The hotel service is still very good, and clean and tidy, but the room is not only completely without views, but also very noisy, closed the window can not stop the noise of the machine next door, making it difficult to sleep.

Nice clean room, shame about the receptionist. We arrived at the front door around 4pm where we rang a bell for attention. After a couple of minutes we rang the bell again and then the receptionist came thundering down the stairs mouthing at us and pointing to a hand written note on the window which said “ring once”. When he let us in, there was no “hello, welcome to Liverpool”, instead all the way up the stairs he was moaning about the bell being rung more than once, even when we apologised he wouldn’t stop whinging about how he is on his own and we should be patient. First impressions count, this guy is in the wrong job. After he picked his dummy back up he eventually apologised, and showed us to our rooms. The room we were in was clean and tidy to be fair. I would actually stay there again, if only to ring the bell a couple of times again 🤣🤣. Seriously, not a bad place once the receptionist has had his rant. Fair price, clean room, good central location.

Good clean spacious room with on suite, friendly, and close to all amenities would definitely recommend. Train station a short walk away plus car parking opposite at very reasonable £5 for 24 hours. There are plenty of places to eat live music just up the road, we did the Beatles tour bus and the ferry tour on the Mersey, absolutely great weekend.

We were allocated a dreadful room at this hotel, with a horrendous view of filthy air conditioning units, a bathroom with stains in the shower area, very small and the cost would have been £144 for 1 night!!! We cancelled the booking and booked in at another hotel. Awaiting a refund from ***********.

The listing on *********** states that the hotel is in a central location so to expect some noise.  We have stayed in Liverpool a number of times so expected it to be lively.  We have no problem with noise from revelers and generally what you would expect from a vibrant city location.   However, what we got was far below expectations, and well below what is acceptable.  Read on..... We stayed in what was described as a studio / flat.   The room had a very unpleasant damp and musty smell.     The room was dirty and dusty with cobwebs everywhere.  The carpets were sticky.   The oven and hob were not working / had been disconnected by "management". The window frame in the bathroom was rotten.  We were advised to open the window when using the shower as there is no extractor fan.  When we did this we couldn't close the window as the bottom of the frame dropped down.  The reluctant reception staff had to force the window closed. The window in the bedroom had a broken catch so it couldn't be closed properly.  This is a shame because immediately outside the bedroom is a light well full of extractor fans and other M&E equipment from neighbouring fast food outlets.  This equipment made really loud noises and woke us up before 05:00 hrs on both mornings. We had very little sleep during our stay. All issues were reported to the reception staff.  They said that "maintenance" would not be available until next week (after we had left) and that the issues would have to be reported to "management".     We couldn't wait to check out. This is a terrible property.  I can't believe that it is even listed on ***********.  We feel completely let down. Do not make the same mistake we made.

Five minutes from the train station. Booked a double room for 2 nights. Not to be confused with another hotel which is up the road. Reception is upstairs. Booking in straight forward. TV, coffee and tea facilities, free WiFi. Room was very quite big and bed was comfy. Shower room was ok as well. Breakfast not included but plenty of places to eat. Would definitely go back and value for money.
