"The B&B is located halfway up the mountain, so there are indeed a lot of winding roads and it's difficult to pass oncoming cars. However, it's great that we could drive right up to the entrance without having to walk. As soon as we got out of the car, the friendly guy at the front desk greeted us enthusiastically and helped with our luggage. We arrived quite late, but the staff still prepared hot milk and some snacks for us.
The next day, we slept in naturally. When we woke up, the morning mist was incredibly beautiful. It was the most restful night's sleep I'd had in days in a high-altitude area.
On the second day, one of the hotel staff members took us on a tour of the village and even picked plums and apples for us. An old lady we passed by warmly greeted us and invited us in for tea. I really love this kind of simple, human-touch local experience.
I've already made plans with my friends to come back when the pear blossoms bloom in spring!"
