New owner Chef... Outstanding food...a real gem. We will definitely stay there again. The rooms are basic, well priced and the Inn is old, full of character, log fires and comfortable. And did I mention... the food is superb. The perfectly cooked English breakfast we asked for as a keto version... and got it... was delicious. There's only been two other restaurants I've been to in the last six years that was able to bring me this simpler alternative. And they were not inside Britain. So it is the first for the UK. In other words ...this CHEF cooks your meal for you and it is worth waiting for.

It was fantastic to see this pub thriving again. Really busy on a Friday night with great service and a good ambience. The food was exceptional, particularly enjoyed the arancini and the pie- can’t wait to return as this is very local to us. Highly recommend

Can't believe the last review how can anyone disrespect over 100 people calling them scum??? it was a prearranged carribean barbecue and the music ended at 8 o'clock everyone had a great time pubs are in dire need of support and a lot of Bollington people supported this event without people trying to promote different things Bollington pubs and social life will die the previous reviewer needs to think about that before he returns to the keyboard thank you mandy for a great day

OBNOXIOUS. New management, but the same old scum. Playing loud obnoxious music in the day and night so residents cant enjoy their own homes. Litter and cigarettes butts line the street outside. Disgusted with them. No community spirit or service.

We chose the Church House because the OUT OF DATE web site offered Gluten free food on the menu and did B&B. We arrived to find a change of ownership but the same manager who informed us that the new owners had stopped serving food. Our room left a lot to be desired. The toilet, hand basin and bedding were clean but the rest of the out of date small room and even smaller bathroom left a lot to be desired. The shower was so mouldy we didn't use it and even the kettle had a layer of dust on the lid. The one saving grace was a good well cooked breakfast.

After a search of hotels in the area, I decided to go with the cheapest option. I'm sorry I didn't spend another £15 to go to the travel lodge down the road... I've seen much better bathrooms on campsites - the whole accomodation section was very run down and needed a big overhaul. I heard a lot of noise from the other rooms, although thankfully it didn't go on through the night so I was able to sleep. Staff were pleasant and breakfast was fine, although there didn't seem to be any options.

The room was fine and it was reasonably clean but the whole decor could do with updating. The shower had a fair amount of mould on the tiles so not the best but functional. Thankfully I was only staying for 2 nights. First night uneventful but second night had to complain about the noise from the pub after midnight and I was told it would go on to 1am so I asked to speak to the manager and the noise was gone within 10 minutes. Sadly there aren't many options for staying in Bollington but I personally wouldn't stay here again.

We arrived for a late lunch on Saturday afternoon. The barman was very friendly and the food was tasty. It was standard pub fare with lots of choice. I had pie, chips and veg. My partner had fish & chips which came with an impressive homemade tartare sauce. A roaring fire and friendly locals added to the atmosphere. We'll happily stop by again.
