Brought my elderly Nanny for lunch after hearing a good review. Came in and greeted af reception by a lovely girl. We were going for the three courses for £20 option. Had soup it was good but our mains weren't great, beef was pink and very tough, gravy very watery and an odd taste from it, mash wasnt nice. My Nanny ordered lamb shank but got beef "she assumed they cut they lamb up until we seen other customers lambs coming out" when I mentioned it the girl apologised and gave her a lamb shank to take home, which was lovely. We didn't stay for dessert, wouldn't rule it out but wasn't what we expected.

A very good lunch. Starter portion great size. Main course again good quantity and quality. Excellent value also. Staff pleasant.

Had dinner here yesterday, food was very good.A little bit of a wait as it was extremely busy but we didn’t mind as the lovely staff were very apologetic and couldn’t do more.Have booked a table here for next week.

The service was terrible, waited 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. Thumbs on plates while serving is a no no for me! No cutlery, bland soup, raw bake at home bread roll. Spring rolls tasteless. Mash on main was poisoned with salt! Meat ok, but no mint sauce for the lamb! Gravy was very watery and tasteless. The Eton mess dessert was shop bought meringue with strawberry ice cream sauce, no home made meringue or raspberry compote! Won't return, no wonder they are only charging £20. I've ate there when previous owners ran it and it was so much better.

Beautiful meal and lovely staff i had cod was really best ive tasted in a long time l. Definitely be back. My friend had burger was gorgeous very big portions. Second time here in one month. Lovely atmosphere and nice music playing in the background
