I booked this hotel after reading the reviews online. The environment is too average, the smell in the room is too bad, and the facilities are outdated. The only advantage is that it is close to the busy streets and it is convenient to get in and out.

In the middle. A classic hotel very well preserved.
They gave me a quiet room and the truth surprised me a lot.

Great city centre location. With approximately 5 minute walk to the port. Spent one night here for an event held at the port. Room perfect on 7th floor we even had a little balcony, absolutely spotless with lovely comfy beds. Breakfast was nice great continental selection with a small hot selection of scrambled eggs, bacon & small sausages. Highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed for three nights in late February. The location was great - right between the end of the main street and the main walkway to the port area. Everything was within walking distance, including the bus stop for the bus to the airport train. This was the best thing about the hotel and made it easy to return for a short break during the day. Reception was polite at check-in but barely acknowledged us thereafter, although this did not really bother us. The room was clean but rather disappointing compared to the pictures on the website (and here), see picture. It was one of the smallest on the floor, according to the floorplan, and overlooked a small central well lined with pipes so no view of anything at all, but that did mean there was no street noise. The picture of the view of the sea must be taken from the roof or top floor as the hotel is very much in the centre of other buildings. As stated, the room was very small. There was plenty of hanging space but not much other space to put anything else, just five very small drawers, a small desk and two tiny ledges that served insted of bedside tables - barely big enough to hold a book and a phone. It did not have room for the easy chair and small table shown in photos of the double rooms. The bathroom, however, was quite spacious with a good shower. The room was very stuffy when we first entered so we always had the windows open. This, however, did give rise to a smell of drains occasionally. The aircon is centrally controlled (not in the room) and was switched off for winter so the windows were the only way to cool the room down. We had to close the windows at night so slept without the duvet. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good with a selection of bread, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, ham, cheese, cereal etc. There was a small amount of hot food but unless it was fresh, the eggs were not particularly hot and the bacon was, as is usual in Europe, undercooked. However, there was plenty to get us going for the day.
