Maleme Mare

We had a lovely week here the room was on the top floor and gave a wonderful view of the sea and one of the pools . The room itself had lots of storage was very clean and modern, a kettle was provided all very comfortable . The room was accessed by a winding staircase not for less mobile guests . The pool areas were very clean plenty of sunbeds and parasols a beautiful area to spend time in. Food was fine ,lots of salads , and usual buffet selection restaurant has a large outdoor seating area mainly overlooking the sea a wonderful place to sit and eat. Entertainment was offered on 3/4 occasions over the week and the bar area is a pleasant place to sit and enjoy a drink Staff very helpful efficient and friendly only too pleased to offer advice on where to catch buses etc. Reception area has a small selection of games to borrow and novels in all languages , we caught the bus into Chania €2.50 per adult but be prepared for a squash ! Bus stop about ten minutes walk away but worth the visit as it’s a beautiful city to spend time in. . Perhaps an info sheet could be given to guests in arrival re meal times and serving of which and what drinks at certain times there is a list on the reception desk but a handy sheet to carry with you may help during the first couple of days . The only other thing that I wasn’t keen on was the en-suite in our room was sectioned off by a half fixed glass panel and both the separate shower and toilet had glass doors so no actual division between the wash hand basin and the bedroom but it may just be me that found it a little’ too user friendly ‘ All in all a lovely week all the guests were friendly and everyone was having a good relaxing time nice walk along the seafront with a couple of bars and shops certainly not for anyone looking for lots of nightlife but a relaxing break in the sunshine

Me and my wife booked here for our 25th wedding anniversary. From the moment we stepped into the hotel we were made welcome stavros the manager told us to go to the bar get a beer sit down then we will check you in. The rooms are very big clean and beautifully decorated. The view from balcony is beautiful you can sea mountains sea and swimming pool. All the staff are great from the cleaners cooks gardeners bar staff basically everybody. so friendly and good with the customers. The food is very tasty and has a large variety. We missed dinner a couple of times and they were kind enought to pack us a plate to take to our room. Christof Stavros manager sasha barman what can I say excellent service lol you can hear stavros coming from a mile away. We will be back soon. Few bars and restaurants on Beachside we are and drank at mythos great food and drinks wouls recommend.

I stayed there during the Easter Holidays. The food was delicious.I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff.And the room was very clean.The sea is very close and very calming. The weather was mild and sunny and maleme is very beautiful

Beautiful place, helpful people, great hotel, delicious food, very good drinks. A great place to organize a trip with friends and Stavros will take care of all your needs. I will definitely come back to this place again! I recommend it to everyone!

A real gem of a hotel, From arrival to departure the friendly staff were superb, rooms spacious and comfortable cleaning service was efficient and our lady was lovely, bar service was second to none, didn't mind 10.30 closure of all inclusive, prices reasonable for drinks, pool area lovely plenty of relaxing areas, micro kitchen garden was lovely chef made good use of herbs etc, a little gem of a hotel,Stavros you make the place special, thank you and the staff for a lovely week 😀

We couldn't have been made more welcome than we were when we arrived at this lovely hotel, which is located opposite the beach. The receptionist, Eleanor, was dealing with another guest so the young man behind the bar invited us immediately to have a drink while we waited. The check in procedure was quick and painless and we were shown by Eleanor to our 2 rooms. We declined the offer of help with our luggage. Our rooms were located on the first floor and had a a side seaview with beautiful well kept gardens below the balcony. There is a sweet little play area for children and two immaculate swimming pools with very comfortable sunbeds. Because of the time of year we had no issues with getting a sunbed but there are plenty and our pool towels were changed whenever we needed. The rooms are well equipped including a coffee machine, kettle and fridge. Air conditioning was excellent. They were cleaned every day, beds made with sheets and towels changed often. Beds and pillows are very comfy. Food was very good, especially as they were less than a week away from closing for the season. Dining room staff were always polite and helpful. Simple snacks and hot drinks are available. Bar staff couldn't have been nicer and they are generous with their measures. This hotel is in a process of improvements and will make an already lovely hotel even better. All in all we have had a fab holiday and it's true you are treated like family. We hope to return.
