Secret Garden Hotel ★★★
"I loved this place. It was a 3 stop bus ride from our hotel (Sunny Suites) but well worth it. The service was impeccable (blond lady), very polite and efficient. The menu isn't what you would find in the big restaurants but was what I wanted at the time (fancied a burger), and that's the sort of stuff they do (think cafe food, omelettes, burgers, fries, salads, etc. Lovely bar and seating area with the cutest kitty you've ever seen. She was looking for a home for it at the time. The prices are good too-much cheaper than other places although the food is good quality and speedy service. I had dessert of cheesecake which was extra special. Seek this place out please as many don't seem to have heard of it."
Atlantica Ocean Beach Resort ★★★★
"Aegeo spas therapist Shikadevi - it was amazing experience. She makes the best massage. Full of attention and deep fascia. I feel very relaxed after all."
Maleme Mare ★★★★
"Food was ok, ice cream and drinks were local, not so good. The worst thing was that my engagement and wedding rings stolen from room. Of course my own fault that I did not put it to safety box, but not very reliable staff. The chief of hotel says that there is no thiefs and I have myself lose it somewhere."
Castro Beach Hotel ★★★★
"The hotel is 2.5 hours from Heraklion (airport) at night and almost 4 hours during the day. Food: all the hot dishes were cold, even if you arrived right at the start. The special items were gone after just an hour and weren't replenished. There's only one open bar in the restaurant. The lobby only has space for about 15 people. There's a bar there that isn't staffed and only serves as decoration. Drinks from the bar aren't allowed in the rooms. All-inclusive included beer, wine, and raki. Because of the bar in the restaurant, you had to get your drinks yourself in a plastic cup, even in the rain. The beach across the road was so-so; we didn't go there. There was a pool, which looked clean, but we didn't use it. The town is very small. Long walks on the beach aren't possible. It's recommended to rent a car in town. The supermarket is only a 4-minute walk away. The rooms were small but clean. The restaurant area was also clean. Since there wasn't enough space for all hotel guests, on some days you had to wait in line for about 30 minutes. Service in the restaurant area and in the room was very friendly and dedicated."
Sunny Suites ★★★
"Pleasantly surprised by this establishment hence the 5*. Our room was spacious and clean-lounge with tv, table, two sofas and coffee table-kitchenette with two cooking rings, toaster, coffee maker and all the equipment you would need-bedroom with two beds pushed together but hey ho! luggage rack, dressing table and bedside tables, bathroom with walk in shower (rainfall and handheld). The only downside was we were on the third floor and the last flight of steps half killed me (no lifts). We had a balcony on two sides of the apartment that got the sun all day and the views of mountains and sea. The pool gets deep (9ft) really quickly which didn't bother us. The beach bar does food (quite limited-stuff like omelettes, salad, toasties etc and the most wonderful pizza which we had a couple of times on a night instead of going out. Also, a wide range of drinks and cocktails. However, the cocktails were the most expensive we came across on our holiday-they are 10e. In Chania, the most expensive we saw were 8e. All the shorts at the pool bar are 8e, beer around 4-5e, milkshakes 4e. I must commend the cleaning staff (lovely clean linen and towels everyday) the pool and bar staff-think it's George, Pedro, Manos-who nows makes the most wonderful BMWs All in all, despite no lift (my problem) and the bar prices, the Sunny Suites does warrant my five stars. I would say it's suited to couples mostly. Supermarket and bus stops a hop, skip and jump away all on the flat."
Ledra Maleme Hotel ★★★

Oliva Beach Hotel ★★★★
"Super accommodation. Clean and spacious. Great view from the balcony of our room (room 14) looking out over the Med. Not too hot on the balcony either. Air con was very efficient which is what was needed at that time of the year. Comfy big bed. Friendly owner (Sophia) and staff."
Futura Hotel ★★★★
"Best staff ever. Had a blast there for 4 days and miss the place already. Great and high quality breakfast. Apartments are nice and the inner yard design makes for a great community feeling when coming there with your tribe. Went out with the staff on the last day and they tagged along to ensure we had a great experience."
Solon Apartments ★★★
"We visited the apartments in mid-July. Mrs Nectaria was a wonderful host, the room was clean, comfortable with all the comforts. Our children and we enjoyed it. We hope we can go back. We also made a new friend, the lovely vercace !!!"
