Mixed feelings about this hotel, but I've given it 3 stars because the time spent with the family was a lovely one. We usually like a little bit of comfort when we go away, and unless necessary, don't do all inclusive because we love good food and nice restaurants/bistros to return to or explore. We went with my daughter, son in law and 2 granddaughters, they are not bothered about great food, so long as they get fed, or where they eat as long as it's clean. We are not comparing this to the luxury market, we knew what it was when we booked, so have tried to give an experienced based review . What we loved The welcome we had upon arrival. Some of the staff were really friendly The quiet location close to the beach The pool area was great for the kids It was clean The chocolate cake you get with breakfast which morphs into "brownies" by the coffee machine during the day, and topped with a ganache by night for dessert. The bread The fresh fruit The Aircon in our room was efficient and as it was so hot outside, and in the public areas indoors, a welcome relief from the heat. What we thought was ok The pool area for us adults, comfy sunbeds and plenty for everyone if a little close together The Greek salad The rooms were ok. Basic, but ok. What we disliked The food. In general wasn't good. We know hotels recycle leftovers, but the majority of dishes seemed to be different versions of what we had for lunch, or just a sauce poured over meat we had for lunch. Baked beans on our last day literally swimming in olive oil. Desserts were chocolate mousse, jelly (usually not set) a moussy type toffee or chocolate pie. Same every day for lunch and dinner. The unbearable heat in the "restaurant" made for really uncomfortable, rushed meal times. The restaurant was more like a canteen. No frills, no ambience in the evening. Every morning there'd be a queue waiting for cups for beverages, and glasses for cold drinks. They seem to have insufficient supplies for breakfast. We ate out twice just to get more food options and away from the uncomfortable environment. The kids were looking forward to having ice-cream on tap as an all inclusive. This was served between 5&9 only. The bar closed at 10.30 The wine wasn't great at all, the beer every lunchtime from canteen, undrinkable. The bar area was also very hot with no aircon in the enclosed areas to give an option of moving out of the heat. Old, broken inflatables left behind were just left in or around the pool for most of the week. If you want a budget holiday in a good quiet location that is clean, and are not bothered about food too much, a hot canteen style setting and not having romantic evenings, this could be ok. We did have a lovely family holiday. But if you are wanting some great food to eat in comfy ambient surroundings, you'll be disappointed. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel, but it is somewhere you can have a great family holiday, just go self catering so you can eat out.
