Sawa Sawa Beach Hotel & Backpackers ★★
"We traveled here from USA visiting malindi and it best deal accommodations near to beach Team is excellent Good breakfast and nice simple rooms to stay I highly recommend them"
Diamonds Malindi ★★★★
"We are currently staying at this hotel and unfortunately, the experience has been very disappointing given the category and expectations. While the property itself has potential and the pool area is pleasant, the overall service and operational standards fall significantly short. Check-in experience: Arrival was poorly managed, with only one staff member handling guests. She was polite but clearly overwhelmed, resulting in delays and a disorganized process. Lack of basic support: No porters were available, and we had to carry our own luggage to the rooms, assisted only by an intern. This is not what one would expect at this level. Room standards and maintenance: The rooms did not meet expected cleanliness standards. One of the toilets was visibly unclean on arrival, and it took over an hour for housekeeping to attend. More concerning, maintenance issues such as a non-functioning flush and a clogged shower were not proactively addressed and required repeated follow-ups over more than a day to resolve. Additionally, the staircase to one of our rooms was very steep and potentially dangerous in the event of a fall, raising safety concerns. Responsiveness and service: Calls to reception frequently went unanswered, making it difficult to get timely assistance. Housekeeping was inconsistent and only done after repeated follow-up. The restaurant service was slow and inattentive, and the hotel appears to rely heavily on interns without adequate supervision, which is reflected in the overall guest experience. Lack of management follow-through: These issues were formally escalated to management via email during our stay. Unfortunately, there has been no follow-up or improvement, which is particularly disappointing. Overall: The facilities themselves show promise, but the operational execution is poor. There is a clear gap in service delivery, responsiveness, and attention to detail. We hope to see improvements during the remainder of our stay and would be happy to update this review if the issues are addressed."
Exploreans Beach Club & Villas Watamu ★★★
"The hotel is fantastic!!! We absolutely loved it! We initially booked for one day, but then decided to extend it for another day. It's best to buy an all-inclusive package, as the hotel is located far from amenities. But if you're traveling with a group or on your honeymoon, this is perfect. The staff is polite and friendly, the food is delicious, the amenities are excellent, and of course, the price is great. The only thing I might not like is the hot water. It's warm, perfect for showering during the day, but cool in the evening."
Q Boutique Resort Malindi
"If you are looking for the ultimate luxury getaway in Kenya, Q Boutique Resort Malindi is an absolute dream come true. We recently stayed here as a family, and it exceeded every single one of our expectations. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we were greeted with world-class hospitality and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made both adults and children feel right at home. It truly redefines boutique hospitality on the Swahili coast. The hotel itself is architectural perfection, seamlessly blending high-end luxury with beautiful coastal design. What truly takes your breath away is the lush, vibrant greenery surrounding the entire property. It feels like a hidden, manicured oasis where exotic plants and tropical gardens offer both privacy and a deep sense of serenity. It was the perfect, safe environment for the family to relax and enjoy nature. The centerpiece of the resort is undoubtedly the magnificent, crystal-clear swimming pool. It quickly became our family’s favorite spot. Whether the kids were splashing around or we were unwinding with a tropical cocktail under the Kenyan sun, the pool area offered a truly five-star experience. Our family suite was exceptionally spacious, impeccably clean, and designed with amazing attention to detail, offering stunning views of the gardens. Every element, from the delicious, kid-friendly options at the restaurant to the attentive staff who went above and beyond for our family, reflects top-tier luxury. If you want to experience the magic of Malindi with your loved ones while indulging in absolute comfort, Q Boutique Resort is unmatched. We cannot recommend it highly enough for a family vacation!"

"Priceless location just a step away from the ocean where it is wonderful to walk, letting your gaze run to the horizon… Very well-kept and welcoming location. The Kasa Malindi - 'Formerly Leopard Point Beach Resort'
"Staff hospitality super faith and amina good sercice"
Kilili Baharini Resort & Spa
"Terrible experience. We were robbed in our room at night and received no protection from the hotel. The building itself is beautiful but a bit rundown; the shower doors are old, and the air conditioning is very noisy. The hotel management was arrogant given the bad experience. We felt violated and feared for our children. We were promised an insurance reimbursement, which never arrived. Avoid."
Kenyan House Malindi
"We were so excited and booked and paid with no balances. We loved the pool and the attendant is kind.the ambiance is okay but requires proper maintaining of furniture. However, the carpets and rooms were dusty and the kitchen was worse. The bathrooms were dirty and drainage is wanting and no shower water how can guests complain and get a hard look with their concerns not addressed!! The host needs to do better with the staff or fire and hire professional staff. Generally we were disappointed and didnt feel we got value for our money."

"i went to this amazing property located on rocky malindii ocean.it has 22 specious rooms with suites on top floor.and 5 apartments right at the beach front. it has an excellent rocky slope with nice floors. the hotel is very quiet and romantic ideal for holiday makers and honeymooners. the lady at the reception is extremely friendly and my business host cecilia is an amazing lady too with high standard of customer and care. i will certainly come back with my family and have this lovely serene hotel."
