Our ground-floor room was beautifully situated beside the lovely swimming pool, making it the perfect place to relax. The breakfast was incredible, and we thoroughly enjoyed the dinner menu and delicious food. But what really made our stay special was the exceptional hospitality. Every member of staff was polite, warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming. The owners were wonderful and treated us like family, making us feel completely at home. A very special mention must go to Katoto, who was the star of our stay. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well looked after. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and his warmth and kindness made such a difference. Q Boutique is a very special place — beautiful, welcoming and full of genuine hospitality. We left with wonderful memories and look forward to returning. ❤️"

"The hotel is fantastic!!! We absolutely loved it! We initially booked for one day, but then decided to extend it for another day. It's best to buy an all-inclusive package, as the hotel is located far from amenities. But if you're traveling with a group or on your honeymoon, this is perfect. The staff is polite and friendly, the food is delicious, the amenities are excellent, and of course, the price is great. The only thing I might not like is the hot water. It's warm, perfect for showering during the day, but cool in the evening."

"We stayed at Silver Rock Resort for 2 nights. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. On the first day, the electricity, water, and Wi-Fi were all unavailable for about 3 hours. On the second day, the water stopped running in the afternoon. After informing reception, we were only given a 5-liter bottle of water to manage. On our final morning, there was still no running water, so we had to check out without being able to shower. We also found the staff to be unfriendly, and we were unexpectedly asked to wash our own dishes, which was not what we expected during our stay."

"They hosted a new years party where we had ordered specific vegetarian food. They agreed to cater for us and paid the equivalent charges however when we got there, the food was not available as per the request and I had hungry children and a diabetic husband. They kept telling us from 9.30pm that they are preparing but nothing came on our table until we argued. We had to beg for our food and eventually got it at the strike of 12 midnight hence we missed out on the fireworks and the party as we were busy chasing for our food. The manager was really horrible who lied to us that they were preparing as per their conformation but only started to chop veggies until they saw us in the kitchen at 10.30pm as we went to ask for our food. She defended herself despite sorting it out on time and we didn't get our full refund back either. She gave out a figure and tried to get away with giving a lower amount then what she had quoted until we had to argue about that also. They ruined our experience totally. Very unaccomodative and horrible service!"

"I had the pleasure of bringing a group of 8 guests to Kenyan House in Malindi, and I can confidently say it exceeded our expectations. As a travel agent, I’m always particular about the properties I recommend, and this one truly delivered. The rooms were beautifully done, spacious, well-lit, spotlessly clean, and equipped with air conditioning. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared for our stay. We had also requested a special birthday setup for one of our guests, with “Happy Birthday Samantha” beautifully arranged on the bed — and the team absolutely nailed it! 🎂✨ It was such a lovely personal touch. The kitchen was beautifully furnished and well equipped, the lounge and sitting areas were comfortable, and the swimming pool was fully operational — including at night, which gave us the perfect opportunity to enjoy a late-night swim. 🏊🏽‍♀️🌙 What impressed me most was the attention to cleanliness and detail throughout the property. My guests genuinely enjoyed their stay, and I enjoyed it so much myself that I ended up extending my stay by two extra nights! As an agent, I would happily recommend Kenyan House to clients looking for a comfortable, beautiful, and well-maintained home away from home in Malindi. The hosts were wonderful, the property delivered, and my group left with nothing but great memories. ❤️ Definitely a place I’d be happy to book again"

"We had a wonderful 10-day family holiday at Diamonds Malindi, including a three-day safari in Tsavo East. The hotel was excellent, but what really made our stay special was the amazing staff. A special thanks to Pina, Danson, Pauline and Ndundi for their energy, friendliness and enthusiasm! We really enjoyed the evening shows with karaoke and dancing, and had great fun playing volleyball with them. They truly made our holiday memorable. Highly recommended, and we would love to come back! See you in 2030!"

"Male owner 1am banging on the door I sleep, screaming my name. Ranting about me I think I am big cause I have lots of money, saying he is my boss. Pushing an alarm to call police. I said I happily go, only repay remaining day that is not used. He said it was paid, I say not, show me. He could not, and walk away in shame. I then ask the guard, what was the problem with this man,. I was told he was angry for me turning off a lamp (cause I enjoy sleeping in darkness). Himself had said some days before, cause lights were kept on in one room and I wanted to change room cause of this, that "after tonight no lamps will be turned on, no need to change room". Anyway handling a simple matter as this 1am kicking me out night time, I think relates to deeper issues concerning running the establishment and his frustrations of so. Revenge belongs to God. For me, someone disturbing me sleeping, is sacred as if being disturbed doing prayers, unless a life threatening situation, they have no respect for life."

The villas and rooms are spread out amidst the greenery, so you never feel like you're in a crowded hotel. The restaurant's cuisine, with its Italian flair, is truly worth it. The two large pools surrounded by greenery are very pleasant (and always clean). I stayed in a villa: a private pool and elegant Kenyan-style furnishings made for a super vacation!"

"We spent 5 nights at Ocean Beach Resort and didn't want to leave! We had the most fantastic weather, although there were times when it was alarmingly hot, which meant we spent most of our midday time at the swimming pool relaxing on the extra-large and comfortable sun loungers under large shade umbrellas. The pool area is designed in such a way that it is easy to connect with other guests and families, which was a highlight for us. The hotel team deserve a very special mention: whether it was a casual lunch at the pool or the special occasion buffet dinner on New Year's Eve, there was an enormous effort made to move tables and chairs around to create different and exciting settings, all beautifully decorated. Our children just loved the huge and crystal clear pool. The pool attendants were very friendly and helpful and interacted well with all the children, providing inflatable tubes for playing on. The food was also very nicely presented and tasty, especially the buffet dinners. Some amazing and unique decorations such as a vase of 'flowers' made out of intricately carved potatoes and food colouring caught our eye. My husband is in a wheelchair and our room was very conveniently located a short distance from the main hotel buildings. The paths around and about are all wheelchair suitable and in fact the grounds in their entirety are pretty flat. All the main areas are very accessible. There was a step into the shower (which had grab rails); however, the hotel did provide a movable wooden ramp, but it was difficult to use it without assistance. Thankfully air-con in the rooms provided a welcome respite from the early January heat. The beach is expansive and quite beautiful, however it is a walk away from the hotel grounds, and there are noticeable currents pulling this way and that. We ventured out to the beach most late afternoons, which is when most others did the same. Lovely to see families, locals and tourists alike, enjoying the outdoors. I had a massage treatment at the in-house spa which was excellent. The spa room itself felt like a sanctuary. Make time for a swim in the spa pool afterwards. We were made to feel very welcome and would definitely choose to stay here again. A lovely, casual and friendly atmosphere. Thanks to all for the great service and the memorable stay!"

Yes its expensive, yes the food menu is slightly limited (plenty of other restaurants in Malindi) but overall a great stay.
