Aryaduta Manado
"Great looking lobby with plenty of seats for waiting and nice view from the room. All old wooden furniture and old sanitary ware and bath need improvement. No electric socket nearby the bed or desk; need to switch off the lamp instead. Service is very slow. Wait for the laundry pickup for 2hr. Cleanliness need definitely an improvement. There is a plenty of hair on the room floor and bathroom. Housekeepers keep talking loudly front of the guest room without cares the guest's privacy. Only few staffs can speak English. Can be noisy as it is surrounded by two main roads. But the price is reasonable in overall Ear plug is recommended at this place. Wifi okay"

"Very pleasant and relaxing. The food is also very good. I recommended Novotel Hotel if you want to have staycation, family holidays, and many more."
Sintesa Peninsula Hotel
"Photos on social media and online travel platforms do not represent the actual condition of this hotel. I booked this hotel for a sudden business trip after seeing its good ratings, nice photos, and active social media presence. Initially, I planned to stay for one night, but ended up checking out the same evening due to an unpleasant experience. Here are the details: I checked in around 7 PM and was given a room on the 8th floor. As soon as I stepped out of the elevator, I felt something was off — the corridor air-conditioning was off, the air was stuffy and had an unpleasant smell. When I entered the room, I immediately felt uncomfortable. The room was spacious but looked old and poorly maintained. Furniture was scratched and damaged, and the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or used in a while. The shampoo and body wash had expired since 2023, and the towels had a musty odor. Feeling uneasy and unable to relax, I went down to the reception carrying my belongings to request a room change. The second room was also on the 8th floor, but in a different wing. The staff said the lower floors were closed or fully occupied — which I found strange. This second room also had the same unpleasant atmosphere. When I turned on the air conditioner, a bad smell came out. Even stranger, the telephone cable was unplugged from the phone. I reconnected it and tried calling the reception, but there was no dial tone. A few minutes later, a male staff member (housekeeping or maintenance) suddenly knocked on my door, asking if I had just called for help. I told him I didn’t. I also noticed that the door latch lock was incomplete, as if it had been removed. I asked for another room and was again placed on the 8th floor, this time at the far end of the hallway, even farther from the elevator. The room felt the same — uncomfortable and unsettling. I turned on the TV to make some noise, but then I started hearing knocking sounds behind the TV, which moved toward the balcony. When I approached to check, the sound disappeared, only to return shortly after. At that point, I decided to pack my things and check out immediately around 8 PM. This hotel felt horrifying, and later I learned it’s considered an urban legend in Manado. My taxi driver told me during the ride to my new hotel that the building was formerly a Dutch-era hospital. After doing some online research, I discovered many similar eerie stories and reports from previous guests."
Thalassa Dive & Wellbeing Resort Manado
"It has been a fantastic experience. Excellent and super friendly staff, the best food in Sulawesi. We did a Padi open water course with our kids. The Padi course was professionaly managed, the diving experience has been great!!!! Bunaken is a great place for diving. All with all: Well done to the team!"
Grand Whiz Megamas Manado
"Very good hotel, wonderful and clean. Most amenities available except shavers which they said were out of stock so it was a little bummer. Felt safe the entire time and sometimes lift not working"
Biz Boulevard Hotel
"The hotel is in the commercial area with everything nearby, including several shopping centers but with a lot of traffic and noise, great for getting around Manado, clean although the room is a bit small."
Grand Luley Manado
"The hotel is located a bit outside of Manado city centre. The room is quite spacious with everything you need. However, we had some ants in the bathroom and the closet. The pool was very big and nice. For vegetarians there is not much to eat in the hotel restaurant, there are some restaurants nearby but only a few suitable for vegetarians."

Aston Manado Hotel
"It was the ***** New Year and the hotel must have been full, that's why I probably got the worst room at the hotel. Musty smell in the room, smell of urine in the bathroom, non-operational sink, and also a cockroach to complete the picture."
