The room is very clean and the service staff is very friendly. Women traveling alone don't have to worry about safety issues. It is a ten-minute drive from the airport. The breakfast is also delicious. I like this hotel very much.

The minute I arrived at Reception, I immediately felt the warm, Bahraini hospitality. Management has trained the staff well. The staff had a willingness to go the extra smile in making your visit quite personal and special. They knew when to offer assistance and when to offer privacy. Kudos also goes to the staff behind the scenes. From the cook who made my breakfasts to housekeeping who tidy my room every day, I was grateful to experience Bahraini hospitality. Located above the markets of Manama's old town lies The Merchant House. A small boutique hotel (40 + units), you are surrounded by unique contemporary art. For someone who appreciates all forms of art, I was in nirvana. My room had every amenity you would want away from home. Getting upgraded to a larger suite was an extra plus. I will definitely miss this place.

What a stunning boutique property!!! Exceeded expectations. Everything perfect. The decor and furnishings as good as the photos. Amazing breakfast and chocolate lab and only a minute away from Haji Cafe in the souk for some value authentic food!! Only downside would be a lack of view from our particular suite but it’s in a downtown historic building with an office block build next to it. Great views and ambience on the roof where pool, gym and restaurant are. Staff great too!

While the hotel seems to be small from the outside, the rooms are reasonably large. The suite has everything from a coffee machine till a freezer with ice. The restaurant is beautiful, excellent service and food. Check in was quick and they even allowed us early check in for free… parking is also free. At cooler times of the year, the location is perfect for those who would like to walk in the market next to Bab Al-Bahrain (old souq).

This is one of the best, interesting, comfortable and beautiful experiences we've ever experienced in life. The suite was so cool and modern also so colorful in everywhere. The breakfast. OMG! It's just delicious and I can't describe how good it was. All the dishes were so good and fresh! I would eat that menu everyday without getting bored. Finally. The service, no words may describe how the team members treated us with smiles, love, care, respect and thankfulness. Every single employee from the parking spot to the reception up to the room's floor and every single inch inside the hotel, treated us with such a kindness and respect. Thank you all for giving us such a unique experience in our lives and it will be in our memory forever. Ahmad and Maryam

The location is in the city center, the decor is beautiful, the seating is comfortable, and very quiet, suitable for business meetings. I tried the cappuccino, it tastes good and the prices are a little expensive...but it is a unique experience!!

The Merchant House was my introduction to Bahrain, and they did not disappoint! Ahmed was amazing and extremely hospitable. He provided great detail of the history of the hotel and the amenities. Ahmed was friendly and welcoming, as were Maxwell, Amos and Veeranan (Massage Therapist). The staff were great! The hotel decor was top-notch and honestly better than the pictures on the website. Such a photo perfect place to stay. The in-room dining was amazing and not bland at all. I was triple upgraded and enjoyed the afternoon tea within the comfort of my room, which I truly appreciate. The hotel is well maintained and you would not know that it is has been open for 5 years. I absolutely recommend the hotel and will stay again! Thank you.

The hotel is clean, the staff are professional, the location is great, the interior design in the hotel was amazing, the rooms are spacious, they have an amazing roof top with swimming pool , restaurant and a terrace , the decoration was incredible
