Check-in was delayed by late preparation for house services. The front desk receptionists were inactive to tell us when the room was ready.
The amenity was good and clean that deserved to have positive feedback. The hotel was located next to a beautiful stadium and attractive to football fans.

advantage:
In a small shopping area, close to the subway, there is a coffee shop around where you can have breakfast. Other hotels are cheaper.
There is a safer parking space on the other side of the street, but it will cost ten Euros a night.
It’s not in the city center, so it’s easy to drive
The price is not too expensive.
shortcoming:
The room is small and it is difficult to walk in a suitcase.
The towels are dirty.
There is no service (because it is a large chain store, it does not sell service, except for the front desk when you check in, where there is no staff) But this is understandable. Niu has seen this grade and the price is cheap here.

Good location, in a safe area in Marseille, convenient public transportation, public transportation is more than 20 minutes from the train station, not far from the bus and subway to Laogang or other attractions.
Cost-effective, the room is normal, and there is also a small kitchen. Although it is useless, the kitchen utensils look complete, and it is no problem to make a simple meal.
Breakfast was not eaten at the hotel, there is a bakery nearby fresh bread juice coffee

First, I was assigned a room that was not cleaned (defected bed and used towels), but they were reactive and so I got another room (with 2 single beds rather than a double bed).
With regard to breakfast, I think EUR 13 is too high for what is proposed. It was good but for this price I expected more choice.
The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable.
I could park nearby in the street (paying from 9 a.m. to 19 a.m.)

During this trip, I was fortunate enough to choose this hotel as my resting place, and it certainly gave me an unforgettable stay.
First of all, the check-in process is extremely convenient. I arrived at the hotel a full two hours ahead of the expected check-in time, but the front desk staff did not the slightest inconvenience or evasion, but in a very warm attitude for me to check in quickly. Secondly, the room itself is large and comfortable to live in, and offers a wide variety of kitchenware and cutlery.
All in all, convenient check-in, warm service, comfortable room, a perfect experience beyond expectations!
The nhow Marseille is situated in one of the Mediterranean’s most beautiful bays and offers exceptional sea views. Cleverly built into the rocks, the hotel is both a wonderful setting for a holiday and one of the largest business meeting and events venues in Marseille. Staying here puts you within minutes of the beach and you’ll also be close to the Palais des Congrès de Marseille conference center. The hotel has 150 fresh, contemporary rooms. Most rooms face the sea and have their own balcony or terrace. Rooms for guests with limited mobility and family rooms are also available. Guests start the day with a generous buffet breakfast. For lunch and dinner, the hotel’s restaurant serves delicious Mediterranean cuisine. Snacks are also available in the hotel bar. For relaxation, you can have a relaxing swim in the seafront pool, open from May to October, or work out on the exercise machines in the gym. Guests can also enjoy treatments and massages in the spa. Meeting and conference facilities at the hotel include 16 fully equipped meeting rooms plus a large auditorium with capacity for 500.

Good quality bedding, beautiful view and location. The breakfast is very rich and there is nothing missing. The staff is very friendly and very attentive. Public transportation is right in front of the hotel, so you can move around as much as you want. The only downside this year is the swimming pool, which really has many shortcomings. They should be a little more respectful for hotel customers, especially cleaner. Strongly leave next year! ! ! ! !

We arrived an hour early, the staff were friendly and let us check in when we got there as our room was ready. The lady at reception was very thorough in making sure the room was up to standard prior to letting us in. The room was spacious and it was clean.
The only downside to the accomodation is there isn’t much around, however for the price it was easy enough to get on the tram which was a few minutes walk down the hill.

InterContinental Marseille-Hôtel Dieu is a luxury hotel located in Marseille’s historic Panier district. Overlooking the Vieux Port, our hotel’s massive staircases and magnificent terraces bear witness to the former statues of the building, an 18th century structure inaugurated by Napoleon III. Relax on the terrace with views of Notre Dame de la Garde Basilica, dine at Michelin-starred restaurant, Alcyone. Rejuvenate with a swim at the indoor pool or a treatment at the chic SPA by Clarins.

The man, if I remember correctly, the senior manager - was friendly, as was the night security. All the women at the reception were extremely unfriendly, the bureaucracy was harassing. Overall, a depressing impression: irritated bureaucrats + unsafe area + poor cleaning and a frightening view of the construction site
liquid soap hangs right above the hair dryer plugged into the socket and drips onto it. It is unclear how they could have obtained a license from the fire department

VVivian KempFirst time in Marseille. Fine to have stayed at this apartment but probably won't again.
I had to chase for the access instructions myself. Also annoying to have to go pick up the keys from Ibis (collection itself was quick), which is a 9-minute walk to the apartment. The fob worked but the 2 keys attached did not open any doors. Email instructions, while clear, were not entirely accurate - referring to going right when in fact I needed to find the apartment on the left.
Bit of drama one morning as I forgot my phone inside the apartment and had locked myself out. Had keys on me but the keys couldn't actually open the door, and of course I couldn't remember the super-secure 9-digit digital code! Only eventually managed to get in but asking a neighbour who thankfully was able to call the apartment manager. They should have given me working manual keys but never did.
Apartment itself was very clean. Lots of linen. Comfortable bedding in the bedroom as well as hidden under the sofa bed. Basic toiletries included. Washing machine worked. Heating was plenty sufficient. No dishwasher but not an issue as I did not cook much. (2 induction hob rings right against the wall which I didn't think was conducive to cooking anything more than the super basic, but fine for me this trip.)
Overall it was okay. Location super convenient, but I'd prefer somewhere quieter, where people and traffic noise wouldn't be so loud and go on after hours. Also somewhere without people relieving themselves next to large bins right outside the building's front door. Somewhere more pleasant...
AAnonymous UserWe chose Japanese brand because usually it is a guarantee of quality. This hotel is very close to the main train station, easy to walk to tourist spots and is generally clean. The reception staff are friendly but those who work at the canteen have really bad attitude - they don’t want to serve you at all and have very annoyed face. I took only 3 seconds to think about what I want to drink and the guy already tutted me. The lady who serves bread threw the bread on my plate like feeding pets. Really unpleasant experience and I dare to say no one will ever experience that in Japanese inns IN JAPAN. The owner must be disappointed to hear their staff are ruining their brand.
VVoyager32Very nice hotel not too far from the port, just a short tram/bus journey. Nice staff who were welcoming and a very stylishly designed room. Only downside is the ridiculous security deposit (but i assume this does keep bad characters out).
XXIAOCHENThe environment of the facility is tidy and OK, that is, there are too few supporting travel services in the store, and little information can be obtained from the clerk's mouth ......... It is not necessary to be careful about a map.
GGuest UserWe stayed in Sofitel Marseille for 3 nights in the summer of 2023.
The hotel is located right on the periphery of the old port of Marseille where all the shops and restaurants are located. It takes about a 15-minute walk to get from the hotel all the way to the centre of the old port so the hotel is fairly insulated from the hustle and bustle of the old port. The exterior of the hotel looks a bit dated but the interiors feel very fresh, clean and bright.
We upgraded our room to a deluxe room facing the old port at the reception and we thought it was worth it. We never tired of waking up to a view of the old port with a clear blue sky. The room itself was quite clean and spacious. There was enough room to open up two luggages and still move around comfortably. There is also a turn down service where the staff will put out the bedroom slippers and play some nice Jazz music when you come back.
The bed was nice and comfortable and the pillows were fluffy. The only complaint we had was that the air conditioning would turn off in the middle of the night. The air conditioning control did not seem to work and it seems like the air conditioning is centrally controlled so the in-room controls did nothing. I could not sleep the first night as it was too warm and stuffy so we asked for a ventilateur (fan) the next day. That helped us to sleep better. Obviously, if you are planning to stay during the winter months then the heat at night should not be an issue.
The staff at the reception were always pleasant, warm, friendly and polite. We were upsold the room with a view when we checked in so that should say something about how friendly the staff were. It was EUR70 per night for the room with a view and it included overnight parking (EUR27 per night) so it was really only about EUR50 extra per night. The valet and the concierge were all very helpful and nice and they all speak English well enough.
If you intend to park here, do note that the roads within the hotel property can be quite narrow and the parking lots are quite narrow as well. It may be worthwhile getting the valet to help you park your car at least for the first day because driving from the car rental agencies at the Marseille train station to the hotel was stressful enough for us.
We paid around EUR300 - 350 a night but we thought it was worth it and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
GGuest UserThe rooms in Marseille are really small. The rooms from Paris to Lyon are quite big.
This is probably where the tour groups stay. When I arrived, I saw a large bus. The smallest room on the way.
You need to go around to the exclusive parking space under the nearby shopping mall parking lot to park. Go to the front desk to ask the location of the parking lot first. They will give you a map showing the location. The exclusive parking space is in the iron fence. After going around to the innermost part of the parking lot, you need to swipe the parking ticket to enter the parking lot. Remember to scan this ticket at the front desk when you leave the hotel.
The parking fee is 20 euros per night.
In addition, when I went there, the elevator from the parking garage to the hotel was broken. I could only go around the mall to the hotel.
There is a hamburger restaurant next to the hotel. I ate it once and it was really delicious.
Marseille is really smelly and it doesn’t look safe.
I don’t recommend going to Marseille. In fact, you can live directly in the nearby town. It’s also good. I highly recommend the town of Lourmarin. It’s very beautiful.
SSarah0405The location is not far from the center, and it was good because it had a variety of kitchen utensils. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was also spacious. The balcony had a factory view in front, but I also saw trees and it was nice because it was wide open. It was within 10 minutes by Bolt taxi to the airport limousine bus terminal, which cost less than 10 euros, so I was able to safely catch an early morning flight.
GGuest UserThe biggest advantage is that the train station is very close. The train station is on a high ground. It is very difficult to pull boxes in the city, such as the old port. It is recommended that the subway taxi is closer. The whole Marseille has various heights and lows. ibis is mainly soundproofed. The sound of other neighbors closing the door is not loud outside the window. Breakfast is really good at this price hotel.
GGuest UserWent for a long weekend to see the city and it’s history, really enjoyed our time, 3 days was plenty to see everything. The hotel was in a fantastic location, right near the Metro. Everyone was friendly in the hotel, and spoke English very well which was useful as our French isn’t great. Couldn’t have asked for anything more, also the deposit was paid back straight away on the same day in full. Highly recommend.
