Premier Inn Matlock

Unfortunately went wrong from the start for a four night stay, room allocated had no electricity. Soon changed so not that much of a problem, however the new room had no towels or toilet paper so had to go down to reception and request the items, room cleaned on the third day and the cleaner failed to leave new cups or replenish the tea and suger. Group dinner on the last night for twenty, food served cold and at one point had to serve ourself's from the kitchen counter due to the poor staff being overwhelmed. Cooked breakfast this morning was cold, all in all not one I would recommend for a group stay. Staff were great, just not enough of them for the amount of guest when busy.

Hotel was very clean, easy to check in, bed was huge and incredibly comfortable! Breakfast was fantastic, staff were helpful and friendly and checking out was easier than checking in. Only downside has been trying to contact reception since we came home to try and retrieve some items we left behind.

Premier inns are tried and tested, you know what to expect, accept for Matlock, my wife has coeliac disease so a strict gluten free diet and an extreme shellfish allergy, we met Russell. So very helpful and knowledgeable set minds to rest! Thank you!
