Sheraton Fuerteventura Beach, Golf & Spa Resort

STAFF- Everyone was friendly, helpful and welcoming. David on arrival was especially lovely as was our young waitress in the restaurant (sorry I can't remember her name). They are all absolutely 5*. The grounds people work especially hard keeping the outside areas looking immaculate and housekeeping do a fabulous job daily. ROOM- We booked a Junior Suite which was very spacious, clean and well equipped. Yes, the decor and furnishings are dated but it was comfortable and suited us well. The aircon appeared to work but I'm not sure it would keep the room cool during the hotter months. HOTEL IN GENERAL- located a 5 minute walk from the small Atlantico shopping centre with Eurospar for bottled water and snacks. 10- 15 minute walk to resort centre with restaurants, bars, shops and gently sloping sandy beach with lifeguard and sunbeds (local charge). Lobby area is around a 5* but, as others have said, the rest of the hotel needs some investment to bring it up to that level. It's clean and tidy but old looking. Two shallow pools and a jacuzzi area are heated and there's a separate small children's pool. The main pool is freezing in April but you might be glad of that in August FOOD - We were half board. Breakfast and dinner always provided lots of choice and dinner was themed on different nights of the week. Some options were buffet style whilst some things cooked freshly for you at a counter. It was all delicious and we enjoyed it but I feel perhaps not quite what you would expect of a 5*. SUGGESTIONS FOR MANAGEMENT- 1. This may be impossible in a hot climate but it might be wise to think about ways of keeping files off the food on offer at the buffet breakfast and dinner. It can be off-putting and could be a health risk. 2. Some of the crockery was chipped. This doesn't give a good impression. 3. The little stream that runs through the grounds needs cleaning. There's slime and general frothy gunge in places that detracts from the otherwise beautiful grounds. 4. Details matter- little things like a leaky shower head, broken cushion ties on sunbeds, uncomfortable sunbeds, missing lightbulbs in corridors.... It all adds up to a less favourable impression. 5. Decor and furnishings are dated and major investment is required to meet the expectations of clients paying a 5* price. Alternatively, reduce to 4* 6. Please congratulate your staff on giving us a 5* experience ❤️

Nice hotel. Could do with some TLC in places. Some carpets need replacing and some interior walls need repairs. Most staff we encountered were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We booked a deluxe sea view room. Thought this came with a balcony and a view of the sea, looking at the hotel picture gallery. They checked us in to room 355. I specifically asked was this a good sea view room and was told yes by the receptionist, and on the sunny side of the hotel. She was obviously aware that this was not the case. She was the only member of staff we came across who didn’t appear to be very welcoming. The room was nice and a good size and had a large bathroom, although the bath needs to be replaced as there was rust around the plug hole and enamel coming off the bath. We also requested a king bed but were given a twin. The main problem was the terrace. Not private and apart from a very small ***** of sea on the horizon there was no proper sea view when sat down. We were looking at a wall. Even standing up there were palm trees restricting half the view. So upset and disappointed as this is not what we were expecting and in fact felt like these rooms should be priced very differently from the sea view rooms with a private balcony. People in other rooms could walk past along the terrace and we felt we had to leave the nets closed to ensure any privacy in the room. It felt claustrophobic. We asked immediately to move but the hotel was full and we had to wait for 3 days to move to a room with a private balcony and a sea view from a seated position. Eventually after moving we had a nice holiday. Breakfast was varied and good quality. We didn’t eat in the hotel in the evening. The pools were nice and sun beds plentiful although a few people still put towels on the beds first thing and were gone for most of the day. As I said staff on the whole were great and always quick to smile and say hello.

Went to Fuerteventura for hiking, didn’t know the hotel, everyone there is very friendly and helpful, guests are mostly British and German which is a good mixture. Our room was spacious, the bathroom with a marvelous shower, lacking only a toilet brush, which is essential for us Germans, so we bought it in a Chinese shop nearby. We also missed a shoehorn, being elderly people it sadly is necessary but this shop has everything for low money. The bed was quite comfortable and we slept well. You should know the hotel lies in the approach path of the airport, but there is no traffic during the night and we had no problem but it may be for people who are sensitive to noise. The sofa was the only failure in our room, worn out so we couldn’t sit on it. Should be replaced. I read some negative comments about the restaurant but we cannot confirm it. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, the buffet with variable themes every evening, for example French or Italian dinner. We saw no need to eat elsewhere. Being excessive hikers we didn’t use the spa, beach or pool area. But everything there looked fine and well equipped, especially the gardeners are doing a good job. The hotel is also a good address for golfers, the golf course is nearby and also for families I would recommend it. Overall it was a great experience and we think about coming back.

We had a wonderful week s stay at end of February! Our room was perfect, great wet room, two wash basins, plenty of towels, lovely very private patio area, beautiful gardens in all areas of hotel, English tv channels( never had before on any holiday abroad) superb buffet breakfast, varied evening entertainment, on the beach, five minutes from a medium sized shopping centre with supermarket, brilliant staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. This was our third visit back and we intend to return next year with family. The only issue we had was some fruit flies in tea/coffee making area which I found was due to me leaving sugar packet open. When I reported this it was dealt with rapidly! I can’t understand some of negative reviews regarding food and describing hotel as three star! Yes I get that some areas may need some updating, but for me it didn’t take from all the positives of this hotel! I have stayed in some very plush hotels but this hotel didn’t give me any less of an enjoyable holiday! For me the ambience and general ethos of attending to all guests s needs was paramount to a stress free stay! Looking forward to our next visit in 2026!

While the room itself was large and the bed comfortable, the overall condition of the bathroom and flooring left much to be desired. The bathtub drain and shower frame were oxidized, giving the space an unkempt appearance. Additionally, the floor tiles were broken and moved when walking over them, which felt unsafe. The wall paint was also peeling off, making the room look poorly maintained. With better upkeep, this hotel could offer a much better experience.
