Another amazing week at the Altitude Comedy Festival and another amazing week staying at the Strass with the Kids and loads of mates. Staff as always bent over backwards to help us out. Breakfast was spot on every morning and the kids love the choice and can’t beat a fresh ground coffee (on request). Bars are well priced and the location (right next to the ski lift) is the best in town. And pillows still so soft they hardly feel like they’re there. LOVE THIS PLACE.

This is wonderful hotel with lovely rooms an amazing spa with several different steam rooms, saunas, a sublime meditation room. Great breakfasts and right next door to the chair lift to take you up the mountain. Mayrhoffen is a lovely village with lots going on. The ski area is fantastic. Highly recommended. If you have never been to Altitude comedy festival and you like skiing and have a sense of humour, you are missing out!

Come back every year with Altitude, and every year the whole team make me feel like I’m home from home, with nothing too much trouble for them to help with. Rooms excellent, bar great, pool and spa amazing (especially the spa, needed after a week of comedy!) See you in 2026 for sure :)

I love this place! The staff are so friendly, helpful and professional! I can't remember exactly how many years I've been returning to this beautiful place, BUT I THINK MORE THAN 30 YEARS! and of course, I will be back :-) It's almost like a second home!

My 22nd stay at The Strass Sport Hotel which to me is the friendliest,most comfortable establishment in the Zillertal with undoubtedly one of the best Wellness/Sauna areas in Austria. We have had world class massage treatments in the beautiful Hammam style treatment rooms and had family swims in the 3 pools available in-house. We have been treated like family in the resort since our first visit 2 decades ago and all the staff can’t do enough to make your stay memorable from the hearty and healthy breakfasts to the 4 course dinner menu’s,3 bars including the wood fired Pizza restaurant it’s marvellous value and every amenity in is on the doorstep from the Penken Ski lift 20 metres away to the Spar Supermarket directly across the road next to the iconic Hans the Butcher. The Strass is an institution and I had the best week at the Altitude Comedy Festival much of which is hosted within the hotel itself. We’ll be back in summer….truly exceptional Austrian hospitality across the board. Thank you once again to the whole team. ❤️❤️️️

Great staff , absolutely brilliant location for the ski lift, lovely breakfast and incredibly clean with a great spa The perfect place to stay for all things ski related especially Altitude comedy festival which partly takes place in this fantastic hotel

Great everything. The food for both breakfast and dinner would be hard to improve. The building, including the rooms, the vast pool and spa areas and the dining rooms, are all kept very clean and are reflective of a nicely built traditional Austrian hotel. The location is the best being next door to the gondola. All the staff were friendly and I was given a double room, when I should have had a single one. The room was very quiet and had a nice balcony with a good view. This is one of the best hotels in Mayrhofen I have stayed in and I have sampled many.

Stayed here a few times, for Altitude comedy festival, each time is better than the last Outstanding facilities, spa, pool, sauna, restaurant and bar! All of which make for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The team here are amazing and very welcoming and helpful. Looking forward to coming back next year too. Thank you, keep up the great level of service. 👏🏻👏🏻
