The room was small compared to the other rooms I booked through another booking engine. The toiletries were different too. The front desk were incompetent. The housekeeping and bellmen were good.

The entire restaurant team is disappointed with the lack of professionalism from the manager to the chefs. We paid for an international buffet that is more expensive than Asian buffets, but did not receive any information, which led us to eat at the Asian buffet until we became upset. They then apologized. Is this the way a five-star establishment should operate? The rooms are spacious, but lack maintenance and cleaning. The dirty carpets and cheap fragrance quality make it feel less like a 5-star experience, causing dizziness and a sense of low quality.

This is for those booking for Umrah and more specifically for Ramadhan 2025. The staff here are probably the most fake I have ever experienced through out my global travels. They treat seniors differently primarily because they are a target whilst leaving all others to struggle on their own. If their concern was seniors, as an infectious disease expert, I can categorically state, Al Aqeeq is one of the most unhygienic, infectious soups, bug spreading party platforms. Room service came in daily and did nothing, leaving the washroom as is with towels even dirtier with mud from their shoes, toilets were not cleaned. Their idea of room service is making the bed and refilling toilet paper. I am specifically addressing my colleagues in the fraternity, if you want to achieve your spiritual endeavors and have seniors, or are traveling with an immunocompromised individual, please do not book here. It is a fish market with no tongs and all fingers in foods right at the reception area. Following check-in, I was forced to purchase 2 big bottles of sanitizer and wash down all surfaces in the room, and successively did daily. The rooms right at check in were unclean with muck smeared at the basin and shower areas. The receptionist didnt care to register our concerns and no one will help a young individual with baggage at arrival. We booked from Nairobi, Kenya with the travel agency Marhaba where the agent Nurjahan marketed this hotel as a 5 star. This is a blatant lie. This is a 2 star. Please be cautious of agents who insist they will not process an umrah visa unless they book the entire hotel package too. Often times, it is a gateway of fraud dealings between the agent and hotel. When I tried to seek help from a Adham Elshrbeny in Madinah who works for Al Aqeeq, he ignored my concerns...because here's the thing...once you have paid in full, nothing can be done about the reservation and you cant get out of there, even if you fear for your health. Do they care that you are from the Medical fraternity and have to return to work? no! Do they care you may expose others who are majorly immunocompromised? NO! My friends of the medical fraternity or for those who do not want seniors to get sick, I would highly discourage you to book here. The engagement of sensibility is encouraged in our religion. Beware of fraudsters, both in your home country and fake staff in hotels, ready to manipulate your minds...seniors are usually most vulnerable to this mental game. Book at your own risk

Go elsewhere! Spend your money elsewhere. The service is disgusting. We were a group of 17 (seventeen), and we had no help with our bags, so all 17 of us had to drag our bags upstairs. Our bedroom was miniscule, but I could live with that; if it wasn't for the leaking bathroom, which put your life in jeopardy due to the slippery floor (plus it's gross). Even that, i could live with. Except that the phones were being upgraded, and no one thought to inform the guests. So if your floor was wet and you need towels, you had better be versed in telepathy to be able to communicate that you need towels for the floor. The hotel doesn't have 4 restaurants like they claim. Just one cafeteria style place with underwhelming food. And since the phones dont work, there is no room service. Then the coffee shop downstairs. That's the 4 "restaurants" The breakfast is underwhelming and has the feel of a hospital canteen. And mind you, they change their hours of operation daily. One day, you come downstairs and there are full tables and waiters running around. The next day the waiter is chasing you out (like literally telling you to leave) at 5.45am because they start at 6am. They will not lift a finger to help you before 6am. Mind you, there are plenty of people who are in ihram and are travelling early and need to get cracking. Nope. The hotel waitstaff will NOT help you. Go fish! The Concierge and front desk staff are so clearly untrained. They chew gum (open mouthed- gross); they are incompetent; they are perhaps unused to dealing with women. That's my only guess for their attitude and behaviour. And they don't give a damn. We had asked a shop to drop off a parcel for us, and advised them of our room number etc. Nope. They can't accept.  Don't bother with your room getting cleaned. If you're lucky, it will be done. If not, enjoy your filthy room and wet floor towels. Unless you want to wait for ages to get a lift and go downstairs to be faced with gum-chewing staff at the front desk. Today is my last day here and I can't wait to leave this place. Al-Aqeeq? More like Al-Akaka. There are better establishments nearby with better service. Spend your money there. Trust me.

Nice hotel in general for Madina the location is the most important in order to be close to haram I like the way of the staff; they are really polite and ready to help Breakfast is mostly Asian, is my option chef has to take extra care of bakery. Hotel needs renovation specifically the bathroom and the full furniture. One major obstacle the lighting system very complicated which no need in a hotel But for sure I’ll be back for location and helpful staff.

The hotel is in a great location just a short walk to Masjid Nabawi which is very convenient for prayers. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the air conditioning had a bad smell which was unpleasant. If they fix this issue, it would be perfect
